We tried 3 hotels when we went to visit Punta Cana for our honeymoon: The Grand Palladium, The Gran Bahia and the Lopesan. Lopesan was hands down the best hotel in the mix. What a great experience.
Don't believe the people that diss it. After experiencing the others, I am actually convinced that they are the competition making up reviews.
It was hands down the hotel that saved our honeymoon. Food was great. It was noticeably better managed. Staff was very friendly. They also are not bombarding you with salesmen like the other two hotels.
They even separate the chairs from the public beach line so that you can actually enjoy the beach rather than be bombarded by tens of "VIP" experiences. You have no idea how nice it is to lay down on a chair and not have a guy try to sell you a picture with a lizard every 10 minutes.
If you want a picture with a lizard or bird... you can find it easily too since they are in a great location close to everything. The Grand Bahia was 20 minutes away from any good restaurants.

Kerry and Francisco were my favourite part of the trip. They got the crowd going and my son had a blast with them. The entertainment staff are very friendly and welcoming. This resort is very large and hard to navigate. The grounds are breathtaking and beautiful however, I found the service in the buffet and the bars to be extremely rude and slow. I would not return here for the price.

I traveled solo, but visited for a wedding. I Loved my experience. I opted for the "UNIQUE" package. It was well worth it. Ask for Andres!!! He was a life saver. I would have been lost on the massive property without his guidance. The attentiveness really helped me relax & have the PERFECT vacation.

We came as a family of 4 with with two girls 4 and 7 with high expectations that were all over and above what we expected. We all had an amazing experience. Our room was clean and beautiful, the service was top notch and the food was nothing shy of amazing. We ate at a different restaurant every night with each night being better and better. The beach was amazing, but the landscapes around here were like nothing we can explain. I think the best part is the connection we made with the staff. My girls loved seeing our favourite staff every day that welcomed us with warm hearts and big smiles. It saddens our hearts to leave but will do with life time memories. 5 stars from the Olma family in every category.
