I had the worst experience at this resort while celebrating my birthday.
First, the restaurants are extremely far from the rooms. It took 15 to 20 minutes to walk to any of them. To make matters worse, the food made me so sick that I had to skip meals every day.
On the morning of my birthday, I went to the beach. When I returned in the evening to prepare for dinner and celebrate, I found that the safe in my room was open. A significant amount of my money was missing! I immediately reported it to the front desk. They assured me an investigation would be conducted.
Shortly after, two security guards and a staff member came to my room. They started searching through my suitcase and purse without asking for my consent. When I questioned their actions, they said I might have misplaced the money. After searching, they left and told me they would continue the investigation the next day.
The following morning, the security guards returned to examine the safe but offered no updates. That same day, I was leaving the country. I went to the front desk to inquire about the investigation, but they told me the cleaner denied taking the money, and they were sorry, and that was the end of it.
Adding insult to injury, the investigation caused delays in my checkout, and I was charged $90 for a late checkout. When I expressed my frustration, the staff was incredibly rude.
I believe I was taken advantage of because I was traveling alone. This experience completely ruined my birthday and my trip.

This hotel is by far one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had. Everything is just perfect and screams luxury. The stuff is friendly and helpful. Animals walking around the territory will boost your mood each time you pass by them. The beach is just breathtaking! Clean, well kept and beautiful. Food is very delicious, as well as the drinks. I don't know what to say more, I am absolutely delighted with this resort and I would definitely come back!

I recently stayed at the Grand Bavaro Princess Resort over Thanksgiving week, and unfortunately, my experience did not live up to expectations.
First, the service was below par. Check-in was supposed to be at 3 PM, but we were left waiting an entire hour to get into our room. No explanation or apology was offered for the delay, which set the tone for a less-than-pleasant stay.
When we finally got to our room, we found it had several mosquitos inside. Clearly, the room hadn’t been properly prepared or taken care of before we arrived. This was extremely frustrating and made our nights uncomfortable.
The food quality was average at best, but it became a major issue when my wife got sick after eating at one of the restaurants. She had severe diarrhea for most of our stay, which significantly impacted our ability to enjoy the trip. This raises serious concerns about the food safety and hygiene standards at the resort.
Overall, while the property itself may look nice, the poor service and health concerns made this a disappointing experience. I cannot recommend this resort based on what we endured.

Sneider from reception was very welcoming and very helpful. From the moment I arrived at the resort, I knew that I would enjoy my stay. The room was beautiful. It was very spacious and very comfortable. There are several restaurants to choose from as well as a large buffet that was open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There were a lot of options to choose from even for the pickiest eaters. I highly recommend The Grand Bavaro Princess, and I will stay here again.

A very nice resort. Most of the food is great. A few misses at the buffet but good overall. Great beach. Cool restaurants and and touristy shops. Really big and spacious pools. Didn't use the spa myself but some of our family had very good deep massages (extra cost, but reasonably priced).
