We had an amazing time overall! From the moment we arrived, the staff was out of this world with their warm welcome and outstanding service throughout our entire stay. The resort itself is breathtaking!!!!!surrounded by nature, with beautiful scenery and animals all around that made the experience even more special. We booked the Premium Experience, and honestly, it was one of the best decisions we made. Everything felt elevated, and as part of this experience, the resort offered us a beach dinner for all Platinum guests, which was absolutely gorgeous! truly unforgettable. A huge part of what made our vacation so perfect was the incredible team members who went above and beyond for us. We are so grateful for Ezequiel, Ramon, Tony, Alondra, Vanessa, Roberto, and Genaro!!! each of them made us feel cared for, special, and at home. Their service, kindness, and dedication really stood out and made our stay extraordinary. We cannot recommend this resort enough and are already looking forward to coming back. Thank you to the entire team for making this such a memorable getaway!

We just returned home from this resort. To start everyone was so friendly. From front desk to bartenders to groundskeepers and everyone in between we thought everyone was lovely. Especially the crew at PPG! Our room was perfect, I liked the design very modern, air works great. We stayed in the platinum level so we had three bottles of liquor and a nespresso machine. Housekeeping was excellent and so was drink service for our mini bar. The coffee lounge was excellent. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch daily at ppg and the last few days we did the Chopin buffet. The hibachi place was not the best I’ve had in resorts but overall I thought the food was pretty good in the restaurants. The drinks were great and there were plenty of bars. The rooftop bar at ppg is beautiful. They had more beer there they had Heineken and corona. It’s definitely better for families than if you want to party. Also at platinum level you can go to the sauna and massage pool everyday which was really nice!

Staff behavior: Beyond disrespectful. Pasquale from the Italian restaurant was particularly rude. Overall, staff treated guests like we were inconveniencing them. Room conditions: Dirty, poorly maintained, and Avoid this hotel at all costs – worst vacation experience ever We booked a 2-week stay at this property, but by Day 4 we were already counting down the hours to leave. Maintenance should not happen during a guest’s stay—it shows the lack of care for basic hospitality. Facilities: Everything seemed to be "under maintenance." The pub? Broken refrigerator no desserts were available as per their menu. And another day the pub was simply Closed. The main pool? Closed. The elevator? Missing buttons—an actual safety hazard. Staffing levels were clearly minimal, and they used this as an excuse for slow, substandard service. Arcades out of service. The trolly has broken down on the road twice. Food: Mediocre at best. Breakfast was the same boring spread every single day. Hotdogs and patatos! Chefs lack diversity but the quality of the food isn't great. Staff even helped themselves to the buffet before guests. I personally witnessed an employee cutting ahead of me and taking all the shrimp and calamari from the seafood rice. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. When I asked they said oh 20mins wait until the next batch comes out...by then dinner was over for my group Atmosphere: Smoking was allowed everywhere, including family sections. On top of that, locals were allowed into the resort, which in itself isn’t a problem, but their behavior (rowdy and inconsiderate) made things even worse. This property is poorly managed, understaffed, and completely fails to deliver even the bare minimum of a resort experience. If you value your time, money, or sanity, do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. The fact that we cut our vacation short, accepted a penalty of 400$ USD and paid to stay somewhere else says it all. This was my second time at this resort but the LAST TIME.

I stayed here with my wife and toddler son in April of 2025 and September of 2025 In April I gave GPB a 5 star well deserved rating. Everything was above and beyond. The beach, room service, Food, Staff, cleanliness and modern style. We decided to come back and didn’t realize it is what is called low season in September and October. The price was great this time around and alot of elements were still 5 star. The cons I will say are as follows: the beach was flooded with seaweed due To tropical storms. The Room service staff were less equipped and cleaning was a bit poor. There were alot of mosquitos and sand flies that bite on our balcony and throughout the resort and beach. Off spray just wouldn’t cut it. And the main reason I won’t go back in low season were the few sightings of large sized cockroaches in our room and the main lobby outdoor area. Just a heads up if these are deal breakers for you.

Customer service was great and attentive. Anthony Castillo from bars was very friendly, respectful and helpful! The room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the restaurants and bars. I recommend reserving the day before as they fill quickly.
