The room was full of mold, and the first night was terrible to sleep in due to the deep smell of mold. Additionally, the air conditioner blew directly onto the bed. While the room is spacious, this does not make it comfortable. The temperature in the room was around 15–16 degrees, and any higher would intensify the smell of mold.
Another issue was the food. Not all dishes were thoroughly cooked, and many of us experienced severe discomfort.
Part of the property had a strong sewage smell, which was also unpleasant and uncomfortable.
At guest relations, a staff member was unhelpful. When I reported the issues with the food and room, she suggested buying supplies to resolve them myself. After spending so much money on this hotel, it’s disappointing that basic amenities like tea are not provided, nor can you prepare it in the room. The staff even recommended purchasing it from the on-site shop.
On the positive side, the beach is large, and the ocean is beautiful, with impressive waves.

The physical facilities, bedrooms, restaurants, buildings, pools, the bars, beach and gardens are all of high quality.
A few changes would make the experience a lot more enjoyable.
1. Customer - facing staff seem by and large to be going through the motions. There is little warmth or human engagement.
2. There is no shop in the resort and you are not allowed to leave on foot to find one.
3. There are no books, magazines or newspapers to read. Not even a shelf to swap books. If you have not brought your own, tough luck.
4. Considering the cost of the basic all-inclusive stay, it is disappointing that only one brand of beer is served.
5. There are suggestions all around you that you are a cheapskate for booking the basic package. At times it looked like we paid for a holiday that was designed to advertise the perks of going premium, or buying a membership. I didn't need to have FOMO vibes put on me when the holiday was advertised as being of high quality.
6. The amount of personal data we have to give when booking is questionable when they don't seem to use it sensibly. For example my wife and I are both seniors and they put us in a top floor bedroom (46 steps to climb) without an elevator.

The hotel’s aesthetics and physical condition are excellent—everything is well-maintained and visually appealing. However, the service is shockingly poor and far below expectations for a 5-star resort.
If you’re an English speaker like me, prepare for significant struggles in communication. Staff members are unhelpful and often downright rude, to a level that’s hard to believe for such a high-end establishment.
While the food itself is commendable, there are serious hygiene concerns. I witnessed kitchen staff using the same toilets as guests without washing their hands afterward—absolutely unacceptable and sickening.
Enjoy the beauty of the resort if you choose to stay, but be prepared for major disappointments in service and hygiene.

This hotel is by far one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had. Everything is just perfect and screams luxury. The stuff is friendly and helpful. Animals walking around the territory will boost your mood each time you pass by them. The beach is just breathtaking! Clean, well kept and beautiful. Food is very delicious, as well as the drinks. I don't know what to say more, I am absolutely delighted with this resort and I would definitely come back!

I’m just a nice mom wanting to travel with My family. We wanted a chill vacation. I normally don’t write reviews because I find it a hassle but really felt like I should. Do not go to this resort!!!! despite what the responses say —-while they seem nice, it is not true. My family as well as half the resort got food prisoning. I even got food poisoning twice !!!!
They don’t clean their vegetables in clean water, which is what gave everybody food Poisoning. If you want beautiful beaches, it’s great but if you wanna be locked in your room suffering feeling like you’re gonna faint roll over and never wake up then go for it. I do NOT recommend. Do not waste your money. They weren’t even sorry that they food poisoned half the resort And they won’t even admit it. Half the resort was empty because everybody was sick in their rooms!! do not go!!!!!! Dr was also very corrupt and needed multiple Forms signed just to get a temperature checked or a sanitary wipe. It was super sketchy and I will never ever go back. I’ve been to Punta Cana three times and always had good experiences except for this. Save up for club med WAY better.
