For the price, Mardi Gras Hotel is good. Not the best place to stay. They need to remodel or at least deep clean the rooms!!! But customer service here is great!!! Everyone is nice and very helpful. Not a lot of amenities. If you're looking for a nice resort type of hotel, this is not it. But, a decent place to stay when you have something going on here in Vegas.

Had a nice stay. The rooms are definitely dated, but it does give it a cute charm. Some cleaning has been over looked but in places you don't really look (under the bed, behind the nightstand) Service was great, everyone was friendly and helpful. It's a bit of a trip to get to the strip but with the monorail 3 blocks down definitely helps. The pictures of the casino are a bit deceiveing, looks decent but in reality there are maybe 30 slot machines. I pool area looked nice but didn't use it. Didn't like the fact that there are no safes in the room. The $11.95 continental breakfast buffet wasn't worth it. The place is priced right though; so if you're looking for a budget friendly safe option to just sleep at I would recommend it.

It's cheap but i recommend to pay a bit more to visit some other 3 star hotel. We got our room and it turned out to be a smokers room which mean that it was stinking awfully. We didn't have any chairs in the room and when we asked about it they told us there isn't suppose to be any chairs in this room and they are not giving us any. They also don't have cleaning service so we had to ask for new towels after being there one week. The neighborhood is a bit dangerous as well. There are lots of sketchy people luring around. The only good thing about this hotel was that you could see the Sphere from your room. Not worth the money

My brother and I stayed here for the WWWY festival. We have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. The staff was friendly, the bar was great, and our room was perfect. We didn't utilize the restaurant on the property, so can give any reviews about it. I didn't even care that I wasn't on the strip because I could see the Sphere right outside my window! The area is quiet with no issues other than the occasional horn honk. I'd definitely stay here again. Note: I see a lot of comments about the hotel's cleanliness.. other than the cigarette smoke in the lobby from the casino, I didn't feel any issues. I'm an avid traveler and get grossed out easy by rooms and there was nothing in our room that made me feel any negativity.

Rooms were filthy, stains on the walls, carpet, toilet, bath tub, dust in the fans, etc. the room smelt like smoke. Pretty sure they haven't spent a cent in upkeep or renovations since the 70's. The dial on the fridge clearly didn't work as it was set to the lowest temperature yet it froze all of our food. This place is a cheap motel, not a hotel. One lady at the front desk was an absolute pleasure. She was welcoming, helpful and kind. The other two definitely didn't want to be there and didn't make eye contact or smile. While the location is on the sketchier side compared to other areas, at least it's close proximity to the Sphere and strip.
