This was the perfect room/location/price for family trip to NYC. The hotel location was conveniently located above a subway station with an entrance a few steps away from the door. The room was very clean and the daily service we received from housekeeping was very thorough. The staff was very friendly and hotel was very safe as there were staff members checking for hotel keys before anyone could enter the hotel room access area. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again if we return to the area.

A great hotel with a very good location!
This hotel still has real charm because it is not a boring new building.
The rooms are relatively small and the bathroom is not for tall people.
There is no Diamond Service at the reception! Something MUST be done here for the status guests, otherwise they will be lost.
The people at the small store are extremely
Slow and unfriendly.
Basically, the hotel can be highly recommended and I would go there again.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights - Saturday through Monday - in November during Veterans Day weekend. The cost was a bit steep, but no more so than surrounding comparable hotels due to it being a holiday weekend during the Christmas season.
The hotel was in a perfect location, steps from Herald Square and a main subway station for access to other parts of the city. So many food options nearby, including a terrific breakfast cart just 2 blocks away. I loved the accessibility and walking distance to the Flatiron district, Times Square, Macy's, Madison Square Garden (where we saw a concert), and more.
Our room was clean and of a typical size for regular Manhattan hotel rooms. Not spacious, but we were there to explore the city. Our room came with a mini fridge and 2 bottles of water. There was a small closet but no dresser.
The bathroom is also small, but the tub is sizeable and big enough for even taller/larger bodies. Great water pressure, too!
All of the staff was pleasant, greeting us each time we entered and exited the hotel. The lobby was gorgeous; I loved the classic tiling and decor.
There is ongoing construction, but this did not impact us as our room was away from that area. My recommendation is to make sure you request a room away from that area at check-in if you think it will be an issue.
I highly recommend giving a stay here a try.

We were here for a weekend in November. I believe this was a king room - not sure if the sofa makes it a deluxe or not. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a little small but it was fine for a couple days. We had no issues with noise or anything. We visited the on-site bar/restaurant, the Bronze Owl. The bartender was friendly and attentive. The drinks were very good. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the hotel other than sleeping but everyone we interacted with was courteous. We parked across the street in the garage - that was a different experience but the car stayed there the whole time we were there and it was ready to go when we said we were leaving so that was a plus. The hotel location was perfect for all the things we wanted to do. Overall positive experience.

Five-Star Review: Hotel Martinique New York City
We had a wonderful four-night stay at Hotel Martinique! The hotel’s prime location, paired with its cozy restaurant, convenient coffee bar, and spacious deluxe rooms, made our visit both comfortable and enjoyable.
While the location and amenities were fantastic, what truly made our stay unforgettable was the exceptional service from Jose, the Bellman. He went above and beyond at every opportunity, assisting us with directions and coordinating all our ground transportation. Jose even took the time to teach us how to navigate the subway—a skill we’ll use for years to come! Roberto, the evening Bellman, was equally professional and incredibly helpful, especially in getting us around the city during gridlock traffic.
Both Jose and Roberto’s dedication to guest satisfaction is unmatched, and they are undoubtedly five-star employees. If you’re staying at Hotel Martinique, do yourself a favor and meet them. They’re the reason we’ll be returning to this hotel on our next trip to New York City. Highly recommend!
