Hi, , I wanted to complain about my recent experience at the MLL Mediterrenean Bay Adults Only Hotel. Unfortunately, it wasn't good at all. I found cockroaches in the restaurant and on the terrace, which was quite unpleasant. Furthermore, the food left something to be desired, one of several factors: the poor quality of the food, the unsightly raw meat, and the poor quality of the preparation. The shower in my room was also in terrible condition, full of sand from the beach and not properly cleaned before I entered, that is, from the first day. I tried to speak to the managers, but it seems my complaints were ignored, which made everything even more frustrating. I have photos of the cockroaches, if you need them, to better understand the situation. I thought the hotel should at least offer cleaner, higher-quality service, especially considering the price I paid. I don't intend to return to this hotel. I should have taken into account the negative reviews from other former guests before I even booked. It's truly sad.

Yes the lack of privacy with a sliding door from toilet to bedroom is a tad annoying but not a deal breaker. Yes the beds are on wheels but when you see why you can appreciate how this helps housekeeping navigate bed changes etc it make sense! The beds don't move around and are stable nonetheless. Yes the fridge wasn't super cold but still managed to semi chill drinks! The rooftop pool was great also a nice place to appreciate the sunset with a drink from the bar. The main pool, perfect depth and temperature. There seemed to be some sort of entertainment every night at the hotel, the drinks at the hotel were reasonably priced and tasty the servers would bring drinks to your loungers, what more can you ask for? Yes there was a strange smell in room initially but this was probably due to the heat and after leaving the sliding door open a fair while seemed to sort this. I didn't experience much internal noise, slept really well actually and I am a light sleeper. The hotel is situated up a slight hill, but there are railings on one side to hold on to if needs be. All in all I enjoyed and it exceeded my expectations for the price. Thank you to all the staff at MLL Mediterranean Bay.

We had a lovely time here, the area is fantastic with plenty to see and do! The hotel is clean, the rooms not the best. But good enough. The staff are good especially Femi who works on the front desk! She was exceptionally helpful!!!!

My partner and myself stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and we were quite disappointed at the hotel, we do not believe this hotel is still hitting a 4 star standard compared to other hotels we have stayed at recently, although all inclusive drinks are limited due to local law so not really worth paying extra for, although local law restricts all inclusive alcohol consumption the hotel are more than happy to sell you alcohol during your stay if you are a drinker. The restaurant is a buffet which we struggled to find anything to our taste (we aren't fussy eaters either) on the buffet the food is often cold so I would recommend having something straight from the show cooking stand if it is to your taste, wait for it to be cooked before putting it on your plate as it goes cold quickly. The rooms are fairly comfortable, the shower was fantastic but the pillows were very thin and worn. The cleanliness of the room wasn't to our standard either. The pool areas aren't very clean we found in the deep end of the biggest pool a layer of green algae, there is a "jacuzzi" at the front of the hotel although it wasn't working at any time during our stay. The sky bar is comfortable and has a small plunge pool which was refreshing. The resort of El Arenal I wouldn't recommend to anyone, the hotel is a good location down to the beach but a very steep hill means we took a taxi back most times, we got a taxi back from the same taxi rank each time and we were charged a different amount each time, don't bother watching the meter as the taxi driver will just put whatever they like on top. We ate out at a restaurant down by the beach and received awful service and the food wasn't much better than the service. On an evening there is a lovely sunset by the beach front but we struggled to find a bar with any entertainment on. The beach is beautiful but the prime retail spots along the front are only supermarkets, fast food and printed novelty German T-Shirt shops.

I checked out early because staying any longer was simply impossible. The room did not match the description at all: there was no desk or chair as promised, no minibar or even a bottle of water, and the fridge was frozen and non-functional. The safe required an extra fee, which was not mentioned in the listing. The bathroom was in poor condition — visible mold, rusty fixtures, and a broken toilet flush. Only a tiny bar of soap was provided, although “free toiletries” were listed. The hygiene was unacceptable — even at breakfast, some plates were dirty. The worst part was the constant noise and complete lack of order: at 11 PM, guests were playing loud music on a speaker near the entrance while hotel staff stood by and did nothing. There was shouting, banging, and someone even knocked aggressively on my door during the night. Around 5 AM, maybe cleaning staff started making noise in the hallways. It was impossible to rest or feel safe. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
