Our stay at Novotel Phuket Kamala Beach was absolutely magical! We stayed in a villa with the most breathtaking sea view and our own private rooftop pool—it was pure paradise. The resort went above and beyond, arranging a beautiful afternoon tea and an unforgettable romantic dinner by the beach. The food was incredible—huge compliments to the chef and team for their delicious creations. If you’re looking for a luxurious, romantic getaway in Phuket, away from the crowds, this is the place to be. Everything from the stunning villa to the amazing service and beachfront pool was perfect. Can’t recommend it enough!

Book any other hotel on the beach, seriously. This Novotel is not even close to a 4 star hotel, the only thing remarkable about the room was just how unimpressive it was: We chose the hotel for it being on the beach, yet had to walk 10 minutes each way through the huge outdoor areas, up a huge staircase then at least 8 long corridors and an elevator to reach the room. Only to find it looks nothing like the photos. You will be not even close to the ocean view, instead 4 old buildings back. I had to kill several dozens of ants that continuously appeared on the bedroom desk whilst eating. The view was a hideous wall and parking lot. The balcony door was near impossible to slide open due to its dilapidated condition. The TV is at least 10 years old with not even any form of ‘smart’ or even normal channels, just stuck playing a hotel advert on a loop. All of the building is aged, stained, and smells off. We both noticed the restaurant smelt like a wet dog. Yet the prices (not including tax) were 2x similar hotels. Staff also blatantly lied to us about being fully booked to get us to check out earlier, the website shows countless rooms available to book.

I stayed here and it was great. We stayed in the pool villa. Its on the quiet end of the beach which was perfect for us. Its close to lots of shops and restaurants as you walk along the beach. We had breakfast included and breakfast choices were ample. We did one lunch at the hotel and it was okay. We ate elsewhere for the rest of the stay. Its 4 star hotel, so please do not expect 5 star. I thought for the location and price it was about right. Also please dont be cheap. If you book the cheapest room, you get the cheapest room, this is how it works in asia. If you are okay with a moderate 4 star hotel then this is fine.

Check in was easy and the resort was clean and the staff was nice! The food for breakfast and lunch was good! I liked the location on the beach because it was near a lot of things we had planned on the trip! I think the spa rooms could have been nicer though and the gym was so hot one day it felt like a sauna!

We booked the ocean villa for our stay to get the sea view, however the view was blocked by another condo in front of us. The beach area is very dirty and not taken care of at all!! The hotel amenities in general including the pool requires cleaning and maintenance. These were disappointing considering the price we paid. To be fair, the room itself was good and clean as described. However the air conditioning malfunctioned the day we were checking out which was horrible considering the extreme heat that day. Overall I wouldn’t recommend to stay here, other options are better if you pay the same.
