This is my first time at this hotel in Akbük, Didim. The hotel is nice, and the food is great, but what really made my holiday special was the staff. I especially want to commend the lady at reception who helped me swap my room without any issues. I went to the beach every day, and the facilities at the beach are excellent. The pool bar and restaurant offer delicious food as well.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional customer service. The staff are well-trained, particularly Adem, İbrahim, and Özcan from security. They were so friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about helping customers. Their warm smiles and welcoming attitude made a real difference. The shuttle driver also provided excellent service, with shuttles running every 20 minutes between the beach and the hotel. He was always welcoming and delivered exceptional customer service.
Overall, the staff’s warmth and professionalism made this experience unforgettable for me. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. The price is reasonable and suits all budgets.

I felt obliged to write a review.
I think people with bad experiences take their time and people with good experiences don't bother to rate.
I spent a week from October 9th to 16th with my partner and seeing these before reviews, I completely panicked. I was scared, afraid of where to sleep, what to eat and sad about my vacation. I'll never believe the reviews again. I warn you in advance, according to European standards, it's not a 5-star hotel. But hotels are rated on the quantity of services provided, not their ""quality"". I paid a price of 600€ per person with flights+transfers+7 nights. (Di vakantie discounter website)
And it was spectacular. Although the food was different and I was afraid of it, it was a cultural thing, I had lots of fresh food and plenty of variety. Fruit, desserts, stewed meat... delicious baklavas!!! The hotel welcomed us at 3am and gave us two sandwiches straight away. They spoke very little English, but enough for us to understand each other. The room was spacious and there were no fancy sheets or fancy things like people expect. I had the basics and a comfortable bed. The sound starts around 9am/10am but my room was further away from the pool, so it didn't bother me at all if i wanted to sleep until late. Activities every night, the pool was spectacular, the spa too and the bus that takes you to the beach, also with another part of the hotel with food and pools, also spectacular. Always and active days, including a lot of families and children's. If you want to relax and enjoy, feel free. Are you expecting a quiet and peaceful hotel? Forget it. This hotel is full of activities and fun! I loved it and intend to return. For the nasty comments about the food, I've attached all the photos I took.
I saw lots of staff working shifts of 12 hours. Let's be humble and understand that it's not always possible to exceed our expectations. Be human and respect them. Many of them were exhausted, but they were still there doing their best to make sure we had a good vacation.
I'd like to mention that I had the opportunity to go to Kos (Greece) and Pamukkale thanks to the excursion company that was there. It was an incredible experience! I recommend it!
Thank you Ramada Akbuk staff!!! See you next year!

I have been to many 5* star resorts over the past couple of years, and this is definitely not a 5* hotel. The room itself is quite lovely, although the hotel itself seems to not be maintained sufficiently which makes it look rather tired. The WiFi is pretty much non-existent at times and at certain parts of the hotel. The food is very repetitive and seems to be the same frozen foods day-in and day-out. I was even sick on one of the nights from it. Although, overall, we did have a nice stay but unfortunately we wouldn't revisit this resort.

Had a great time, but not a 5 star hotel even in Turkish standard 😄 really liked the town, meals were nice, there's extra sunbeds that you can take if there's not enough free ones. Every 2-3 days there's an interesting show after kids disco ✨

I have recently returned from a family vacation. There were 16 of us in total.
All of which have varying opinions of the hotel/area but here are the opinions of my family and I.
First off location.
Although the view from the beach was idyllic, the views from the hotel to the beach were far from great. The area is a little run down but does look like there is some development happening. Akbuk itself is out in the sticks, practically in the mountains and you will need to travel to experience built up areas such as Didim/altinkum. There is a bus and taxi service that will take you to the nearest tourist location in Altinkum. We went into Altinkum twice using both taxi and the local bus service. A taxi to altinkum cost around £25 and took 40 mins to travel. However the second visit we used the bus service at a cost of around £1.25 each but increased travel time from anywhere between 20 - 30 mins.
Next i must say that the locals in Akbuk were not welcoming. It is more of a residential area and there were next to no english speaking people (which isn't a problem).
Next onto the hotel... The Ramada by Wyndham Akbük is definitely not a five star hotel as advertised, although that is reflected in the price that we payed to stay. Some of the workers honestly seemed like they did not want to be there as it was coming to the end of their season and so customer service was varied. The hotel has a private beach which is about a 5min drive from and the hotel does run a free shuttle to the private beach around every 15 mins. Our room and the hotel itself was a little dated, the drain tray in the shower was broken, as was the bannister that swayed quite a lot (we had a 3 year old in a room so was constantly having to be-careful with him and this.
The food was ok but not the best. If you have allergies it would be difficult as you do not know what is in the food due to a lack of labels, it seemed the majority of desserts had nuts in.
Entertainment - there isn’t much, 15 minute mini disco for kids and may have a show which is substandard. It seems hotel and staff aren’t really ‘in to it’. It’s a shame.
The biggest problem about the hotel for me was with theft. My partner had personal belongings taken from our room on our 1st day but returned the day after (once complained to guest relations). On our second to last day someone let themselves into our room and locked it from the inside. I had to then go and get our hotel key cards changed. I was informed by other holidaymakers that some rooms had keycards left on top of the lights by the cleaners.
Over the period of our stay I did come to speak to other people who had suffered similar experiences. Some of whom were unlucky enough to not have their items returned and were told that it was their issue as the items were not locked in their safe.
Finally our transfers. Our transfer to the hotel went really well. We had a spacious coach with enough room for us and our belongings. On our transfer to the airport however, the hotel sent a small minibus which fit our family but did not fit all of our luggage or childrens prams. We were told by the driver that it was our fault as we had gained too much extra luggage. (we had the exact same amount of luggage that we came with) eventually after a few crossed words we managed to put our luggage onto a second minibus that had a smaller party. The driver & 2 security members at the front of hotel were extremely rude with this to myself.
Overall I would say that although the kids had a great time, we would not be staying here again.
I would say this is a 2 star maximum 3 star hotel.
