We had an absolutely fabulous stay at this hotel! The hotel itself is very spacious and modern, the rooms were big, and the staff was responsive and friendly! We had a baby with us and they accommodated many odd requests! The location was also wonderful — close to Time Square, the subway, and Central Park. We also booked directly through the hotel website and got a great deal. Would highly recommend!

Reading the reviews I was a bit stressed before arrival but everything was great. No problem with elevators the heater was working perfectly and we also had a small fridge in our room to put out water. We had a great stay overall.

We stayed here at the beginning of July with our family of five. We had reserved two rooms for seven nights. Upon arrival, we were welcomed into a fresh lobby, and the reception was smooth and friendly. Check-in went very smoothly; $500 was reserved per room on the credit card. At check-out, the resort fee was deducted, and the remaining amount was promptly released.
We were given two well-maintained rooms on the fifth floor, which turned out to be a blessing since only one elevator was working. The staff who cleaned our rooms did an excellent job. We received fresh towels daily, and the room was kept tidy.
A downside was the very noisy air conditioning, which continued to blow loudly even after being turned off. Earplugs are not a luxury.
The location is excellent and perfect as a base for exploring NYC. The hotel is easily accessible via the subway, and there is a wide selection of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. However, the hotel itself is very large, which can make the lobby extremely busy at times.
I can definitely recommend this hotel and hope that the issue with the elevators is resolved soon, as it attracts unnecessary criticism.

This hotel has a historic vibe with a modern touch. The rooms have all the basic amenities and the best pillows! The bar/lounge area is beautiful but does close early. There is no room service, but who needs that when the location is amazing and there are plenty of restaurants and deli's nearby... It's in a great location to explore the city and enjoy the experience of fast-paced New York.

Do not book if you like to sleep in a cool room. This hotel has a great location near the park and has a pretty bar and downstairs area and was decently priced for the area. The elevators take forever, plan this into your timing if you have reservations. The rooms were very small and could use updating. This hotel advertises that they have AC, they do not tell you until you get to your room that the air conditioning only is on from May-October. There are individual units for the rooms, but the entire hotel shuts off the AC November 1st. So on a 75* day in November the room was 80*. We encountered a family who said they were brought fans and kept their door propped open it was so hot. We didn’t sleep there, we checked out and decided to go to a hotel that actually has working AC all year! Management did agree to credit us in full but had an attitude about it and made us seem like we were crazy for wanting AC.
