A great resort, conveniently located by the beach, especially if you’re visiting with kids! Tried the beach side multi cuisine restaurant Caravela, and the food was top notch. The chef himself came in to ask if we needed anything and made sure kid friendly items are especially made even though they were not a part of the menu. Buggies (golf carts) are available to go from one point to another and while they have a little wait time, they were god sent for us for navigating the property in Goa heat with two kids in tow. It’s also a more accessible property than Taj Aguada fort one, which is right next to it on the beach, but is not super accessible because of its tiered layout and multiple stairs, despite having shuttle service within the property. Guests who book at either property can avail for the services at the other, which is also a highlight. Staff is friendly and courteous and treats kids with extra warmth. Would definitely recommend.

In my opinion, this is probably the best resort hotel in all of tropical India. Let us list it one by one - Rooms - These are vintage Goan style villas that have been converted into one of more luxury rooms. Super clean and very posh. Service - Absolute top tier service right from stewards, security, restaurant staff and chefs as well. Location - The location is why it feels justified paying a huge amount for the stay. Tropical Canopy in its huge campus, beautiful swimming pool and other facilities, the sea deck and direct beach access. Loved it and would definitely come back here when my pockets permit me to do so.

Disappointing Experience at Taj – Not Worth the 23K a Night We expected a seamless and luxurious stay at the Taj, but it turned out to be one of our most disappointing hotel experiences. To start with, we had a late check-in — though it was compensated with an upgrade to a “luxury” room, the problems began soon after. Late at night, we heard a strange mechanical noise in the room that went on continuously. For over two hours (past midnight), we tried to figure it out ourselves with no success. Around 1:00 AM, we finally called reception — the technician came, couldn’t locate the issue, and by 1:30 AM, we were moved to another room. To our shock, the “replacement” was nothing close to the upgraded luxury room — it honestly felt like a downgraded, cramped service room. After paying ₹23,000 per night, this was simply unacceptable. The problems didn’t stop there — service throughout the stay was painfully slow. Housekeeping forgot basic amenities like towels, and even for something as simple as a buggy or car request, we had to keep calling multiple times and wait endlessly. For a property of Taj’s reputation, the experience was a huge letdown. The staff was polite but clearly uncoordinated and inattentive. At this price point, you expect efficiency, comfort, and proactive service — none of which we experienced. Would not recommend, especially given how poorly they handled a night-time issue and the overall lack of responsiveness.

We arrived on 3rd Oct, afternoon eager to check in and relax after a long drive (10hrs) from Bangalore. Clogged Bathroom- immediately upon check in, we hit the beach and came back wet. Upon return to room, we realised that the shower was clogged due to previous usage and waste being stuck. House keeping- We called house keeping but were informed that it was maintenance related. Then maintenance came and cleared the mess but left the whole bathroom dirty. We had to chase the house keeping to come & clean it for us. This whole experience took 2hrs immediately upon check in, left us wet, cold & very uncomfortable. Guest relations- We raised the issue with the guest relations and were assured that another room would be provided. Executives were constantly in touch with me but didn’t meet or provide the opportunity to see another room. We stayed until the 7th (4N). We could not enjoy the beach as we were scared the sand may clog the bathroom again. Special Occasion - We have been in touch with the guest relations team as we wanted to celebrate my birthday during our stay. My wife connected with the team as soon as the room was confirmed and had also shared our pictures for decorating the room and making it special. We even cut down any celebrations outside as we wanted to have a special family time in a decorated and special room on the last day of stay. The room had a happy birthday on the bed with some twigs and petals making it a sustainable affair but completely dissatisfying my wife who was in touch with the team to do so much more. House keeping, maintenance, front office & guest relations are completely disconnected and no one takes any responsibility. The only upside is breakfast. Lots of choice & a personal touch with every guest makes the busy place lively. Please revamp the place, people and systems, else you will be responsible for the loss of the famous Taj hospitality.

Worst experience in taj holiday Goa Recently I visited taj with my family with high expectations but oh man it was a total nightmare. When I entered in the room it was so small , the AC vents are very dirty , the woods in the balcony are fallen apart and you pay higher prices for that . We are 4 families and they provided single small room and we have to wait for 5-6 pm in the evening for the rest rooms.. No service at all , you call for the cart and you are just waiting and waiting and waiting it’s still going on and on . What’s funny is that when we are going from swimming to our room we stop one cart and ask him to drop to our room and he said your room is nearby only you Can go by your own . I mean seriously that’s how you Treat your guest in five star hotel Worst service We booked 4 rooms and in one rooms the key is not working so we called the receptionist to open the door but we waited at least one hour can you imagine what kind of service they are providing They only charge you for the view that’s it they got no facilities no service no good food No good rooms Even Novotel room is bigger than taj room and that too at a lower price there service is also good better than taj holiday Totally waisted our stay here
