“Our experience at Moon Palace was very disappointing, primarily due to the high-pressure and unclear membership sales process.
Sales Pitch: Upon arrival, a representative offered us $1,500 in spa credits for attending a brief tour. It was supposed to last about 90 minutes but extended to 6 hours, with repeated discount offers until we finally agreed to join.
Attempt to Cancel Membership: After reconsidering, we decided the membership wasn’t right for us and contacted the representative to cancel it and the promised suite just 3 hours after we signed. He confirmed the cancellation, but the following day we were informed it hadn’t been processed, requiring further interactions over several days and impacting our vacation.
Encounter with Unfamiliar Signatures: At the Elite Center, a representative presented documents with unfamiliar signatures, claiming they authorized suite costs. We shared text messages with the original representative to prove our cancellation. After several discussions with managers, the membership was finally canceled.
This exhausting process disrupted our vacation, especially as we were traveling with children. We strongly advise anyone considering membership to review all terms carefully and understand all details to avoid a similar experience.”
Last thing you need to know. Once you took the suite from them there is no going back. This is the original reason why they offer you the suite so they can lock you in the contract. Just be aware and make your decision right. And don’t fall to pressure sales. Good luck to the ones who read my review.

We just got back from the trip to Moon Palace with our kids. These are my thoughts from the trip:
The Good: The resort is beautiful. Really cool designs and fun restaurants. Our kids loved the water park. Nice bowling alley.
The Okay: the beach is okay-not the best for swimming-no waves for buggy boarding or surfing. The service was okay throughout the trip. The food was also just okay.
The Bad: resort credits are a joke. We had about $1300 of resort credits which seemed exciting. They limit to what you can use your credits on-basically golf and the spa. The golf and spa is WAY overpriced and they charge 16% tax on the credits that you have to pay with money-so basically you pay what you would normally pay for the golf or spa in taxes because it’s marked up so much. I’m really into golf-the course design was fun and the location was great, but the course condition was worse than most county courses around my house that cost about $45.
I also found that most people at the resort that had a higher authority position were jerks. Those that had less paying jobs were always so nIce and sweet with our kids.
The bad: when we booked the resort through Costco, it had the option to request adjoining rooms which we did. When we arrived to the hotel They told us that we did not have adjoining rooms and the family suite which is basically adjoining rooms would cost an additional $2800. They told us though that they could get us in the same building, but it would be on different floors. After talking to them for about 45 minutes we finally got rooms that were on the same floor, but not next to each other. very lousy to travel all this we couldn’t stay together as a family. After staying at the resort, I realized this is just a big scam move. The resort had to be 20% occupied. I’m sure there were hundreds of rooms open next to each other. Their sales pitch is if you want to get adjoining rooms, you can go to a timeshare presentation and they will be able to help you out, but they couldn’t help us. I was dumb enough to go to and it was the biggest joke. The first sales person that we dealt with was so nice and sweet. Then another lady came in and at the end of the tour and was furious that we didn’t want to sign up for their million dollar membership plan. They kept trying to change the plan options but we told them we weren’t interested. They treated us so poorly and for this reason alone, I will never go back to this place.

Great trip! Excellent service! Great food! We always felt really well taken care of and safe. Thank you for allowing us to visit. Keep up the great work. We were there during Hurricane Helene and had to rearrange a few things but they got things handled in a timely manner and kept all of us safe. Highly recommend!

All I can say is—mind blown! This was our second time in Cancun, and Moon Palace Grand came highly recommended by a colleague. From the moment we walked into the spectacular lobby, we were warmly greeted by the incredible staff, setting the tone for an unforgettable stay.
One thing to note is that unlike other hotels we’ve stayed at in Cancun, Moon Palace Grand does not offer a complimentary shuttle bus—it’s an extra expense. However, once you arrive, that minor inconvenience is quickly forgotten. We were welcomed with a fabulous drink and provided with a tourist guide that helped us plan our activities. We opted for swimming with dolphins, and I loved the fact that the resort arranged everything, including a safe and comfortable bus ride with a large group. It was reassuring to have everything handled by the hotel.
Now, let’s talk about the food—oh my gosh! With around six different restaurants, including pizza, a buffet, and a snack bar, the dining options were endless and delicious. Even the food at the water park was top-notch. But the room service was a standout—my child loved being able to order hot wings or pancakes at 2 a.m. and have them delivered promptly. It made the experience even more special.
The rooms were spectacular, with a jacuzzi and breathtaking balcony views. The entertainment, especially the fire show, was the best we’ve seen. We were so impressed with Moon Palace Grand that we decided to visit their partner property in Jamaica and received an excellent discount for doing so. The insights and tips they provided us with were incredibly helpful.
I highly recommend Moon Palace Grand. Three standout features:
1. The Rooms: Luxurious, with a jacuzzi and stunning balcony views.
2. The Water Park: Perfect for family fun, and you don’t even need to leave the resort.
3. The Food: All-inclusive, high-quality, and absolutely delicious.

Our family had an amazing time at Moon Palace The Grand! We did a day at Beach Palace which had an amazing beach. Mauricio and Ximena are absolutely incredible with our family! We had a great time. Downfall - they do try to sell you on a timeshare and tried to sell us after we checked out to come back. Also, make sure you book a dinner reservation every night as they don’t have a buffet for dinner. Los Tacos and The Grill are the best lunch places.
