Awesome stay! For starters, the staff are so friendly and engaging. Shoutout to Alejandra and Oscar from entertainment and staff as well as our beach server Einar. They each took the time to get to know my group and make sure we were well taken care of. They made our trip much better! I give location 4 stars because it is 45 minutes away from the airport but otherwise the location is beautiful. I also give rooms a 4. I do not recommend booking an ocean view room. We booked ocean view rooms and could barely even see the water and definitely not any sand. We were in the furthest building from the water! The staff was friendly and offered to move us one floor up, however I don't believe that would make a difference. If I were to go back, I definitely would not spend the extra money on ocean view. Overall, I would recommend this resort!

Me and my husband took our honey moon here and it was wonderful. The resort was great ! But one thing we could go on and on about was the service. All of the workers were so sweet and attentive. We talked to Oscar and Omar throughout the week and they were amazing. Omar went out of his way to get our wedding date from my husband and made us a specialized heart and key. He also saw us at the pool to give us some souvenirs. The staff definitely makes the resort a 5 star facility.

If you want a "no worries" vacation this is the place to go! From check in to check out it was like a well oiled machine, our concierge, Roberto, was incredibly kind and helped us every step of the way. To scheduling dinner/events to showing us all the rooms amenities he really went above and beyond. The entire staff here are very friendly, professional, and work very hard to make sure every person feels safe and relaxed! Cleanliness was such an amazing perk they will clean or restock the room 3 times a day while you're out and about. They work tirelessly to make it very special for everyone there. We are very lucky to get to experience their amazing kindness. We will definitely be back!!

My wife and I just returned from 5 day, 4 night stay. We had researched a lot of the Riviera Maya resorts and we we think we made an excellent choice This all- inclusive resort is amazing. The rooms are very nice and the service is amazing from the housekeeping to the bed turndown .We stayed in bldg 25 and our concierge Roberto is top notch .He was available for our every need. we were at the beach during the day and he came all the way out on the beach found us just to see if we needed anything and if our every need was being satisfied. The restaurant are all great and the service impeccable. there are many activities all day long and shows in the evening. Be sure to go to the lobby bar after dinner. It a great social area late evening were a lot of guest seem to congregate to enjoy the music. Definitely a 5 star resort we are definitely planning to return soon.

Just got back from this resort and I have some remarks. Overall the service was good the staff were friendly and always wanting to help. The rooms were nice and cold and housekeeping was accommodating. Food was also good with the selection they had. El patio was overall our favorite. A couple shoutouts for some employees who went above and beyond Arturo Abraham Marcelo Isabell Claudia Hector Daniel Marvin Now for the not so good experience. Before we booked the trip we were made aware of the seaweed and the two restaurants that were gonna be under construction (oceana and seaside grill). Which was accurate when we arrived. The first night we soon found out the nightclub desires and theater were under construction until December. I reached out to the concierge about it and they confirmed it was under construction. We were not made aware and this was a big miss during our stay. We stayed at Akumal last year and was looking forward to Desire and the shows in the theater. On top of that the app they told us to download kept showing the certain events being open when they were indefinitely closed. Unfortunately we won’t be coming back to this resort due to the fact we were blindsided when we arrived to the resort with the closed amenities. Overall if you are looking between Maroma and Akumal I would definitely recommend Akumal hands down.
