My husband and I had an excellent stay here. We had never done an all inclusive resort before and this way exceeded our expectations. Roberto our concierge did an excellent job checking in with us and making us feel welcome and that we had what we needed. The activities were so much fun and abundant which we loved. Entertainment staff were all excellent and really helped enhance our experience! We especially enjoyed how friendly, fun and approachable Sebastian, David, Leo and Andres were. Thank you all! Also, we loved our catamaran trip with Carlos. The weather when we went wasn't the greatest for ocean sports but we were so grateful to be able to adventure out to a beautiful reef and felt very safe and secure despite the rough conditions.

This is a very late review as my wife and I went to Secrets Maroma beach August 2024. We had a great time and Maroma Beach was wonderful. I was unwell one day and our concierge Roger must have noticed that my wife had walked past the concierge office without me. I was in our room and Roger telephoned and asked me if I was OK, I told him I didn't feel too good and he arranged room service and offered to get me a doctor. I felt this demonstrated a high degree of attention to detail and overall care. I should have done a review before today as the service was second to none and overall we had a fantastic holiday. I would also like to mention Fransisco at the Asian restaurant who was a wonderful waiter. I have rebooked our family for another secrets resort based on my experience at Maroma beach.

We really enjoyed our stay, the restaurant, and the entertainment. All the staff members were so nice. I would give a five-star rating if they could improve the check-in and check-out process. The waiting time was quite long after we checked in; we waited about 20 minutes and no one brought us to our room. The concierge apologized the next day, as he was off when we checked in.
After we checked out, we went to the lobby to wait for the shuttle. I gave the check-out pass to a staff member, and after the shuttle arrived, we loaded all our luggage. Another staff member didn’t let us go and asked for the check-out pass. I told him a few times that I had handed it to the person working there, but he still insisted that I go back and get a copy of the pass, which made me feel very stressed. Finally, the person who had our check-out pass came over and let us go.
I do hope the hotel can improve these two areas.

Was great. Came for a work conference and stayed extra. A bit pricey for my personal liking $600US/night. Stayed in many places comparable for a lesser bill.
Food was good. Pool was great. Rain every second day…not so good but that’s not their fault.
Watch the step in your room-we were warned and yet I totally smashed my foot on day two.
Coffee shop beside lobby is great.

One of the best all-inclusive vacations we've been to and we've been to quite a few. Stayed 5 nights in mid November. Not a single complaint. The room, the service, the grounds, the restaurants. Loved everything. Beach deserves a special shout out! It's meticulously taken care of in the resort area but also stretches for miles if you like to walk on the beach. Miles of pristine white sand and crystal clear water. Hardly any seaweeds. Not sure if it's like that throughout the year but our experience was breathtaking. Food - every day we told ourselves we won't have lunch because we ate too much at breakfast and every day they were grilling something amazing in the pool area we simply couldn't resist. Concierge service - we stayed in the regular tropical view building, so I believe there was one concierge per villa. Always ready to assist. We didn't have any requests, but when I didn't make a hibachi reservation (the only place requiring reservation) on time for my husband's Birthday, our concierge helped us to get a spot. It was greatly appreciated. Another thing I typically don't do at the resorts - asking for a specific server at the buffet. Until Alejandro served us at breakfast. The nicest and the most accommodating professional with a great personality. Asked to be seated in his area every day. Highly recommend Secrets Maroma Beach!
