My husband and I got married here two weeks ago and I am still in awe of the overall experience. Grecia, our wedding coordinator absolutely exceeded our expectations, from the set up on the beach, to the reception in the ballroom, I can not say enough good things about getting married here. We were lucky to have a large group with us and the resort was very accommodating, allowing us to have a group meal and ensuring that our guests were being taken care of. We spent a total of 15 days at this resort and only left for 5 hours as there was just no reason to leave! The restaurants, the pools, the entertainment options - even with being there 15 days, none of this got old! If you're looking for a family friendly get-away (or even not family friendly if you're staying in El Beso) I highly recommend you consider this resort. The food was great, and it changed every day! The rooms weren't humid as I have experienced at other resorts, the AC worked (thankfully!), and the flora and fauna made walking the distance from our building the the main promenade worth it. A few mentions of the staff that made our stay so memorable; Pool (our concierge, amazing), Carlos and Daniella from the Privilege lounge, you both made our mornings!, Jaime, our housekeeper, your talent with making animals and the extras you did for us made us smile every day. Abraham and Gabriel from the events team, seeing such a special bond between father and son really made our dinner, thank you. And last but not least, Samuel from both the piano bar and our wedding bartender - you are awesome!! Gracias from the Radis's ♥️

We had a wonderful experience at the buffet at Ocean Riviera Paradise! I want to give a big shout-out to Isaias, Sheyla, and Rosa — they were truly amazing. Their service was friendly, attentive, and consistent the entire time. They made sure our table was always taken care of and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. The food selection was great, but the exceptional service from this team made our visit even better. Thank you, Isaias, Sheyla, and Rosa, for making our experience so memorable! Highly recommend! 🌟

Update 11-26-2025: This is a follow-up to my earlier review, as I didn’t initially offer the level of detail needed to explain our experience. From the moment we arrived, the stay took an unexpected turn. A staff member approached us offering a “complimentary” massage in exchange for attending a presentation at another resort. When we politely declined, she left abruptly without providing the hotel map that guests normally receive at check-in. Shortly after, a representative who introduced herself as our “butler” explained that she would be available throughout our stay. In reality, that level of service only seemed to materialize when a tip was involved. The resort feels heavily tip-driven, which gives the impression that employees may not be compensated adequately. Throughout roughly 95% of our interactions, service quality noticeably depended on offering extra gratuities. Only a handful of staff members provided genuine, attentive service on their own. Unfortunately, the overall service fell far below what is expected of a property marketed as five stars. The pools were not consistently clean, the restaurant floors were poorly maintained, and it often felt as though either staffing levels were insufficient or staff were disengaged. The buffet was one of the weakest points of the stay: limited selection, questionable freshness, and cleanliness concerns—including flies and birds entering the dining area. Transportation around the resort was another issue. The shuttle service between areas was poorly managed, with waits of 15–30 minutes and early shut-off times at night. Another repeated frustration was the constant solicitation—massage offers, photo packages, activities—far more than actual service interactions. Even the lobby felt overrun by salespeople instead of staff assisting guests. During dinner, the first interaction was consistently an attempt to upsell “premium” drinks rather than focusing on the dining experience. For context, we selected this hotel only because it was the chosen location for a wedding party we were joining. We even paid for the upgraded “Privilege” package, but based on our full experience, the resort falls closer to a 3-star rating at best. I cannot recommend this property under its current management, nor would I feel confident staying at its sister resorts. The focus seems more on generating revenue than delivering an exceptional or even consistent guest experience. There are many other resorts with far stronger reputations that provide better value, service, and hospitality. Original review 11-24-2025 The five-star rating for this resort is genuinely surprising and doesn’t reflect the experience we had. I believe it would be worthwhile for rating agencies to take a closer, updated look. The service consistently fell short of expectations, and the food quality was disappointing—many items lacked freshness and flavor, and several dishes were difficult to enjoy. While the resort map and website suggest a wide variety of restaurant options, the reality is far more limited. The focus seems centered on upselling—premium drinks, “extras,” and add-ons that aren’t part of the all-inclusive package. There are many reputable resorts that offer a significantly better experience. This property wouldn’t have been on our list at all if it weren’t for the fact that we were here to join the wedding group.

Amazing Service by Luis! We had a wonderful experience at Margarita Restaurant. The food was delicious, and as vegetarians, we truly appreciated the care Luis took to guide us through the menu. He explained every dish clearly and gave excellent recommendations that suited our preferences perfectly. His service was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and very professional. Thank you, Luis, for making our meal special. Highly recommend this place for great food and even better service! I want to give a special shout-out to Silvia from Building 1 in the room service/housekeeping team. She is incredibly hardworking, honest, and truly dedicated to her job. Every day she kept our room spotless with so much care and kindness. Her professionalism and warm personality made our stay even better. Thank you, Silvia, for your amazing service — you truly deserve recognition!

My wife and I spent a week at Ocean Riviera Paradise in November 2025. Check In: Arriving at the resort we were promptly greeted by a staff member and shown to an office to begin our check in. The check in was quick, we were shown a map with a quick explanation of the resort. Immediately leaving the office another staff member greeted us for a quick breakdown of some additional information, like restaurant reservations, etc. As some reviewers have mentioned, this is the part where you begin to get upsold. The person talking with us was very friendly and enjoyable to converse with. However, he quickly transitioned into asking us to sign up for a breakfast meeting to potentially upgrade us to the Privilege membership, and offered a free couples massage, a bottle of tequila, and some cannabis. We tried multiple times to decline and eventually had to lie just to get out of the conversation. Room: Our room was as it appeared on the website when we booked. We paid for the swim up room as this trip was a very special occasion for us. On the website the photos do not give a clear view of what the swim up pool looks like. It gave me the impression that it was connected to a larger pool, so I could just swim from my room to the bar. The pool was really just a small sliver that came off of each ground level room, and was disconnected by bridges into the building. Food: There is absolutely something for everyone in the main buffet restaurant. Everyday is a different theme, but the core choices always remain. If you like typical American food like burgers and hotdogs, they have them. Personally, I tried to focus on the Mexican choices, specifically tacos and fresh salsas. They also had an incredible fish selection everyday, and coming from land locked Canada, this was a big treat. Up north we have zero access to fresh ocean fish. I over indulged on mahi mahi, tuna, salmon, octopus, shrimp, calamari, and more. We tried every restaurant that took reservations, and almost everyone that did not. Each spot was unique in the menu and decor. Service was adequate, but not overly attentive. Beach: The beach was small, but well maintained. There is limited seating but we were always able to find two chairs to use. They have many sales staff on the beach selling scuba diving, massages, pictures with exotic animals and more. Several times I was approached by the same person within an hour to buy a massage. Entertainment: During the day there are Entertainment Events each hour, sometimes overlapping. There were a few standout events such as the foam party, and aquafit. We had the pleasure of Arturo hosting many of the events, and his energy made everything a blast. Nightly entertainment was unique. Some evenings there would be a live show inside the theatre, and other nights it would be outside in the main square. The problem with the main square area is that it features a huge fountain in the middle, making seating difficult. Seating is limited. The theatre shows were a mix of song and dance, with a Caribbean theme, a Mexican theme, and one based on the animated Disney movie Aladdin. They would project videos on the screen behind the stage, and this is where it got weird. During the Caribbean show there were images of neon unicorns and other random AI videos. However, all the dancers involved were excellent. Many costume changes throughout the show, and you could clearly see they were putting in full effort. Extras: Smoking is not permitted, with the exception of designated areas. This was ironic as the areas were placed in high traffic spaces, with one being put directly next to the children’s playground. Summary: I had written a more detailed review, but Google has a character limit, so I had to omit many thoughts. Overall our stay was pleasant. The staff were all very friendly, and almost everyone makes the effort to say hello. The food was excellent and came with much variety. But in order for me to return, I would need to see changes in the sales persons, and more effort for bringing in outside entertainment.
