I honestly couldn’t praise this hotel more highly. I stayed for a week and had a fantastic time — the pool days were especially memorable thanks to the incredible service from the staff (special shout-out to Canady, who was amazing!). I also really enjoyed dining at all the resort’s restaurants. Que from the activity centre was wonderful and helped me organise a great nature walk and some tennis coaching, which I loved. The staff were truly exceptional — so kind, accommodating, and attentive. I’d return in a heartbeat. The only minor downside was that the adults-only pool at Horizons was closed during my stay, which was a little disappointing since the main pool area was quite noisy.

One of the best hotels I have ever been to! Spacious rooms, delightful service - we got a bath drawn for us as a surprise after a long day sightseeing and a complimentary teatime sampler of baked goods each day. The room overlooks the sea so the views were amazing. We also had the pleasure of learning more about sea cucumbers and the local ecology. I would also highly recommend the Spa - please come early if you make an appointment because they have great facilities like a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. In general, the service here is unstinting and generous and I really commend all the staff.

This was our first stay at a Ritz-Carlton, and Langkawi has truly set the bar — we can’t wait to try more Ritz-Carlton hotels in the future. Service: The highlight of our stay was definitely the service. From check-in, we were warmly greeted and everything was explained clearly and thoughtfully. On our second day at Langkawi Kitchen, the staff greeted me, my husband, and our child by name — an amazing touch that shows their attention to detail. At the pool, towels and water were promptly offered without us asking. The Ritz Kids staff were wonderful, and our little one loved spending time with them. Every single staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Facilities & Room: The resort is beautifully set in the rainforest. We even spotted dusky leaf monkeys from our balcony and hornbills near Ritz Kids. Our room was spacious, modern, and well maintained. The kids’ club offered a good variety of activities. Dining & Spa: Breakfast at Langkawi Kitchen combined buffet and à la carte, which was both convenient and delicious. We especially enjoyed Beach Grill and Langkawi Kitchen for dinner, while Hai Yan was just okay. The spa, set by the beach, was a highlight — so relaxing to enjoy treatments with the sound of waves in the background. Overall, Ritz-Carlton Langkawi exceeded our expectations, particularly with its exceptional service. A memorable stay that we would highly recommend.

We had the absolute pleasure of spending our honeymoon at The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi for 5 days, and from the moment we entered the resort until the time we checked out, everything was simply outstanding. The warmth and friendliness of every single staff member truly made our stay memorable. We were delighted to receive an upgrade to a beautiful ocean-facing suite, which was thoughtfully decorated with honeymoon touches and accompanied by a heartfelt handwritten note – such a personal and meaningful gesture that instantly made us feel special. On our first night, we dined at Horizon, where the amazing team surprised us with another handwritten note and a complimentary dessert. This level of attention and genuine care continued throughout our stay. The buggy staff were always so cheerful, friendly, and willing to help at any time, adding to the seamless experience around the resort. One of the highlights of our trip was the spa – simply outstanding. The setting, service, and overall experience left us completely relaxed and rejuvenated. Every detail of our stay was handled with such care and thoughtfulness, and the genuine hospitality of the Ritz-Carlton Langkawi team made our honeymoon unforgettable. We cannot recommend this resort enough and are already looking forward to returning one day. Thank you for making our honeymoon so truly special.

Unfortunately, my experience at this resort was very disappointing. During my stay (September 30, 2025) with my infant baby, I encountered several issues that made my vacation stressful instead of relaxing. Upon check-in, I was given a room that could only be accessed by stairs, which was very difficult with a baby stroller. When asked if I was celebrating any occasion, I mentioned that it was my first trip after giving birth — but this was completely ignored. In every other luxury resort I’ve stayed at, staff have shown genuine care and professionalism by sending a small gift or congratulations. Sadly, this resort showed no attention or sensitivity toward families or new mothers. No baby amenities were provided — not even a crib or basic baby products, which are usually standard in family-friendly resorts. The worst experience happened at the pool area (Villa 20). I was carrying my baby after swimming at the beach and asked where I could rinse him off. Several staff members directed me to the pool shower area, but once I started rinsing him, a staff member suddenly told me it was not allowed. I explained that it was cold and windy, and my baby couldn’t handle it, but he gave me only five minutes. While I was rinsing my baby quickly, another female staff member entered and started speaking loudly and harshly, insisting I leave immediately, even though I had just given birth and was clearly struggling. The male staff then told me I could not have my baby with me at the pool area at all — not even on the lounge chairs. He stood there watching me with no respect for privacy, then removed the pool towels from my chair even though my bag was still there. It was an extremely uncomfortable and humiliating experience. Overall, the resort’s attitude toward families was disappointing and unprofessional. My entire vacation was ruined because of this poor treatment. Additionally, an activity I never attended was added to my final bill, so please double-check your invoices before signing. The only positive part of my stay was the Spa, which was excellent — professional staff and truly memorable moments. I sincerely hope management takes serious action to improve staff training and family care standards.
