We've just returned from 9 amazing days at The Turtle Beach Hotel & Spa. The location is just spectacular. Right on the beach, with amazing views, from all rooms, I understand. The 3 pools were very welcome in the heat. Very comfortable sun loungers all around the pools. There was never a problem getting a sunbed and fresh towels every day.

Disappointing Service for a Premium Price
Our recent stay at Turtle Beach Barbados left much to be desired, especially for a property charging $500+ per night. Despite pre-checking in via the app the day before, our check-in process was frustratingly delayed. Although the official check-in time was 4 PM, we didn’t gain access to our room until almost 6PM. The front desk staff acknowledged my Titanium Elite status upon arrival, but the promised welcome gift—a benefit I’ve come to expect—was never delivered to our room, even after I reminded them three separate times.
Eventually, the General Manager became aware of the situation and expressed regret, offering to compensate me with “some” Marriott points for the inconvenience. Days after checkout, I received a mere 1,000 bonus points (equivalent to about $10). This gesture felt dismissive and insufficient, particularly for a high-priced property and an occasion as special as my mother’s birthday. For context, 1,000 points is the standard amount elite members receive just for checking in at Marriott properties, and in my experience, make-up points typically range from 10,000 to 20,000, depending on the severity of the issue.
As for the property itself, it was passable. The beach was pleasant, and the room was decent but not exceptional. However, the lack of basic amenities in an all-inclusive resort was puzzling. The minibar was not stocked with ANYTHING and there was no water provided in the room—a glaring oversight for a resort of this caliber.
Overall service and staff delivery were underwhelming. The general attitude and care seemed subpar, which was surprising given the premium pricing. While the resort has potential, this experience left a sour taste in my mouth and made it unlikely that I would recommend it or return.
Would not recommend unless the service standards improve significantly.

I could not provide my input via the Marriott site because I was past the review period. The staff was amazing, friendly and I danced with my breakfast lady every morning! Other than that, I was not a fan. It’s not a big resort so not much to do. The rooms were okay but the beds were hard and the paint on the walls are yellow so it feels old. We had two rooms and the fridge did not work in either room. We called the front desk twice and no one ever came to fix it. Our kids had a great time but it was not to the adults standards. The food is good nothing to write home about. There was also an incident on day one of our arrival where our 4yo order a pizza, the pizza was delivered to him, 4yo ate a slice of pizza and the waitress returned to let us know she brought the pizza to the wrong table and had to take it. She proceeds to take the pizza to the back, then bring it back out and said the chef said it was okay. Of course’s we didn’t want the pizza after it was taken away and brought back. Also, there is no continuous service at the pools. They might come around once for drinks, another time with fruit but that’s it. The bar outside is not big, and there is no swim up bar. We go to Barbados annually but will not be staying at this resort again. We prefer to spend the money for the family to have a great time someone else.

My Husband & I stayed here for 4 days, 3 Nights. We had a great time the staff were friendly & helpful, bartenders were great, yes some staff were more friendlier than others but that's life. The birds, lol are so beautiful, it's open air dinning on an island of course there will be birds. Lovely Hotel

Fantastic hotel.
Especially great for families... it has a play area, kids club, gaming area, tennis court etc.
The kids pool is also great, its shallow enough that I was able to leave my 3 year old in the water by himself whilst i read my book :).
The food was average.. there should be more choices (not everyone can eat hot spicy food so the hotel should cater for that).
The staff were mostly friendly... best one was the short guy in the bar who walks around asking people if they need a drink (can't remember his name).. always positive and smiling.
Will come back to the hotel again.
