We had an awful experience staying at this hotel as a group of eight on a work trip. First, four of us arrived around midnight, and it took nearly an hour to check in at the front desk, which looked old and shabby. We were told we’d been “upgraded” to suites, but the rooms were bizarre and totally inappropriate—featuring oversized round bed that looked like they belonged in a love hotel, strange layouts, and way too many mirrors. When we asked to switch back to regular rooms, the staff said they were all fully booked. Clearly, they had overbooked the standard rooms before we even arrived. The rest of our group arrived the next afternoon, and again, check-in was extremely slow—it took over 40 minutes for three people. The receptionist seemed disorganized and unsure of what she was doing. Later that night, one of my female colleagues had a very disturbing experience: a man entered her room by mistake. Both were shocked, and the hotel later admitted they had assigned the same room to someone else. Their only response was to give her access to the executive lounge—completely unacceptable for such a serious safety issue. Breakfast was another low point: the environment was dirty, tables weren’t cleared properly between guests, and when I picked up a “clean” plate, there was ketchup on the bottom that ended up on my fingers—absolutely disgusting. To make things worse, the hotel is surrounded by nightclubs, and at night, there were many women outside who appeared to be soliciting. It made the entrance feel unsafe and uncomfortable. Even the pool was disappointing—tiny, with barely any shade or umbrellas. This hotel is not suitable for business travelers, and honestly, not for anyone looking for a clean, professional, or safe stay. Overpriced accommodation with poor service.

Very disappointing - never again! We arrived with high expectations but were immediately let down. Our reservation wasn't in the system - an absolute no-go after a long journey. Instead of helping us in a friendly manner, the staff treated us rudely and condescendingly. A warm welcome? Not here. The employees come across as arrogant and aloof, as if guests are just a nuisance for asking questions or needing assistance. Friendliness seems to be a foreign concept at this hotel. At no point did we feel welcome or comfortable. Overall, a very unpleasant stay - we definitely would not recommend this hotel.

I wanted to update my review accordingly! I was VERY unhappy with some of the things we experienced here, and shared those items with the guest relations staff. I spoke with the manager Prabhat, and he spent time sitting with me and LISTENING to my concerns. I want to say this most importantly…the staff here are truly great! They are at the will of Hilton and the rules Hilton puts forward. They try their best to offer a great experience with the tools and allowances they are given by their employer. I will say this as well…we are Marriott members and have not dealt with some of the issues we experienced here, but we really feel that Prabhat and his team want to change these things and make it a memorable experience in a positive way. Here are some of the things Hilton should consider, as they put their employees in a tough position with the following rules they have set: - Charging for ice. I understand that water is different here, but it’s frozen water at the end of the day - There is no microwave in the rooms! They have a refrigerator but don’t offer a microwave. This is actually the same thing at other hotels but they offered to reheat our food. We spent good money at a hotel restaurant and were left throwing away a seafood pasta that was could not heated up. - “No outside food”…we got food from another place in the hotel and stopped at the coffee shop downstairs. We were told that “outside food was not allowed” even though we bought it from another place in the same lobby. We explained this to the woman and she still said we could not eat food at those tables unless we bought from them. This was very strange to us. - The timeshare sales pitch…the times we have chosen to stay at a Hilton, we get approached about a “free” tour of the resort and offered free gifts. In reality, they just want to sign you up for their time shares and try to drain even more money out of you. In my opinion, I can only imagine how much better the experience would be if they saved the money on giveaways and put it into treating the visitors who’ve already paid with a pleasurable experience. To be clear on this, the gentlemen who approaches us was very nice as well, and was just doing his job. But we made the mistake of doing this during another Hilton stay and ended up being pressured for 3-4 hours, essentially wasting a half day of our vacation. - Tequila drink was 75 demars and they charged an extra 30 for pineapple juice mixer. There were a few other very minor things, but those can be looked past, as we would not have been upset if those were the only things we experienced. It was a combination of it all that was upsetting for us. I’ll finish it with this…again, the staff was great, and we really could tell that they felt bad for the experience we had. They CARE! My wife was VERY sick the last day and they went above and beyond to help her before our long flight home. They spent the time to listen to my concerns and did what was in their power to make it right. Thank you to the ENTIRE staff at The V Hotel, and we really do hope that Hilton makes some changes so you all aren’t put in such a tough position!

Amazing hotel, clean with friendly and approachable staff. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of options for everyone. The rooms are spacious and clean. The location of the hotel is perfect for a city break or a longer stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the free shuttle to Dubai Mall and the walks back to the hotel later in the night (30 minutes). We'll definitely stay here on our next trip to Dubai.

Great lounge, food, pool area, nice staff. However, the hotel’s and room’s interior is a matter of taste, let’s say. It’s rather vulgar, which is ok whatever, but it’s also outdated, design-wise and physically too. Some maintenance could be well in order.
