I recently visited st James club with my wife, 18 month old as well as 4 other adults in our party. After reading reviews I was worried about the service but We were greeted by 2 great front desk workers, one being Brianna and the others name started with a D and I know I’ll misspell it. They were great and very helpful. The clubs location is great while we were there it felt like it was empty which was awesome not feeling overcrowded when going to do things. We spent most of our time on the resort enjoying the beach which was great, great clear water and make sure to have piper give you a foot message. I also want to give a special shout out to Deshaun who works in the little store there. She was so helpful and even went to the store to grab diapers for my son as we unfortunately forgot to pack enough so she definitely. While the location was great and we had great encounters with the workers I’ll say the worst part of the trip was how slow it was to get food at all the restaurants . We went to the rainbow garden for dinner one night with a 6:30 reservation. It took 3 and a half hours. The service being so slow at the restaurants made it so by the time you were done eating you didn’t have much time to do other activities. St James needs to invest in making sure that people are receiving fast service even trying to grab a quick snack would take at minimum an hour.

The food was better than my previous experience at Costa Rica Dreams. They said they have room service but only for an extra fee and only at night. Bottled water was an extra purchase as well. The resort was quiet and definitely not a singles dream which was fine with us. The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed on the Atlantic side but could access the Caribbean side by walking 200 yards across the street. The spa was outstanding. I would not pay extra again for the Italian restaurant as it was a little disappointing. The nightly entertainment was fun. The jerk chicken was delicious. Don't be afraid to take a taxi in to town. Overall we were happy and felt very relaxed.

I'm usually not picky person when it comes to all inclusive, but I like all inclusive for the convenience of not doing anything than to relax. The property is beautiful. The beach is clean and the water is amazing. To get a DRINK at the BEACH you have to go to the restaurant and get it yourself. There is no bar, close by, except at the pool area.

I have read most of the reviews and I totally disagree with how people have complained about the staff. I found the staff to be amazing. They are always smiling and very friendly. We recognized Allison a member of the activity staff while visiting St. John’s town and she was so friendly offering to show us around on her own time. Each meal we met the most accommodating staff like Twana and Amie just to name a few. The grounds and views are amazing. You don’t go here for fine dining so leave your palate in Europe. The breakfast is substantial to begin the day. We paid the extra fee to eat at the Italian restaurant at night . You will love Roxanne and the music was enjoyable. I did enjoy the service at Eleven 11. The sunset cruise was fun.

Second trip in 3 years and first time with an 18 month old. The experience was mixed. Location: as always is great. We got the 3 series rooms on the ground floor, so just by the coco beach. Waking up to the sunrise was beautiful. Rooms: rooms were a little old, tiles cracking, furniture seemed like from a thrift store. But all that was fine. The biggest issue was MOSQUITO. Constant presence of mosquitoes in the room and any amount of spraying or nothing didn't help. This paranoia of mosquito bites for an 18 month old - really soured the trip FOOD: the breakfast seemed to have gone down in quality from last time. The exact same thing over and over every morning. Got boring. Lunch at 11/11 or Mamora bar was good. So was dinner at Docksider. The Goat Juice was to die for. SERVICE: service was slower than expected but overall I don't blame service ppl. It's a tough job. They were nice for the most part. Overall. It was relaxing. I could spend many more days floating away on Coco Beach. Will come back.

I absolutely loved my trip and owe a lot of that to the Royalton. The lay out is great and very open. We loved the pool/beach area with the swim up bar. Shout out to the bartenders that always made us something special. The vibe crew and the nightly shows were AWESOME. Can't say enough about TiTi, Scott, Malaki, Vernon, and all our other crew. I also liked the buffet, it was great for a picky eater like me. Lots of comfort foods (mashed potatoes for me). The rooms were okay, but we didn't spend a lot of time there. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a laid back all inclusive place to stay!! Special THANK YOU to Scott for being so attentive to my 76 year old mom and myself getting up to see the Fort!!!!

My husband and I recently stayed at Royalton Chic Antigua to celebrate his birthday. The resort itself is beautiful, and while we did have some memorable moments, I have to be honest… housekeeping was a major issue during our entire stay. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived (even after check-in time), and throughout the trip, getting basic things like clean towels or washcloths was a constant struggle. We went days without our room being cleaned and had to repeatedly call or go to the front desk just to get the essentials. That said, the reason I’m even giving 3 stars is because of the amazing staff who carried this experience on their backs. • Andre from Diamond Club was the highlight of our trip. Even though we weren’t Diamond Club members, he checked in on us daily and truly went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and valued. • Alicia at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful every time we had an issue. • Kourtney with a K and Karlos with a K brought good energy and kept us laughing. • Ashana and Joshua were hilarious, fun, and always kept our drinks full and the vibes up. • Devon knew how to hype the crowd and made sure everyone was having fun. • Mario, Head of Security, was also super kind and checked in with us to make sure we were doing okay. This team of people made the trip special despite the frustrations. If I ever consider coming back, it would 100% be because of them. I really hope management addresses the housekeeping issues, because with a team like this, the potential for a truly 5-star experience is there.

We just spent two weeks at this resort. Overall it was very good considering the high volume of people. The rooms were comfortable and if you had any problems they were quick to come and assist. The food had a great variety of options. The beach and pool area were beautiful with plenty of chairs but you had to get a Chair first thing in the morning or they would be taken up. This is an issue at most resorts unfortunately. The staff were friendly and helpful. The gym was very well equipped with personal trainers there to help if you needed any guidance. Overall very pleased with our stay!

Just got back from our beautiful family vacation. Room service was great, drinks were delicious. Very friendly staff. Food not so bad they don’t change it up. Overall we had great weather and best time. We are already planning our next trip to go back…. So relaxing gorgeous beach and so much fun at the pool!

This is by far the worst all inclusive we have been too. I was in a wedding party there . We had the “diamond club” that was supposed to get us top shelf liquor and they literally didn’t have any top shelf anything at the entire resort . The resort didn’t have air conditioning for our first 3 days we were there , they failed to mention that at check in or when we were booking . I ordered room service almost every night, it only actually came twice and that was after a 2 hour wait . But the worst part was the bartenders and service, they seemed to be bothered everytime we wanted to order something from them . We made the best of it because of the wedding and our friends and family that were there , but we will definitely not be returning , and will be advising other friends and family to avoid this resort at all costs . When speaking to them at checkout the wouldn’t respond to any questions just handed us a paper with an email on it . It’s been 2 days and no response from the management team or anyone .

We had a fantastic stay at Pineapple Beach Club in January 2025. We stayed waterfront and looked out at the whole resort every morning from our balcony and watched the sun come up. The breeze was beautiful and the beach so calming. A short walk to the coffee shop to see Wallace and the lovely baristas in the morning was certainly a treat.There were plenty of towels and many places to sit. Whether you want ocean front or poolside you will find a perfect spot to just relax. The Topaz buffet restaurant was great with lots of variety. The staff there are warm and friendly especially Nicole and Arlene. The bar had great service and lots of tropical treats to choose from. The whole vibe was relaxed. Our week was far too short. Next year we will stay longer. I wish i could remember all the staff names as we found them all to be wonderful.Take a bow Pineapple, you really deserve it.

We only had a day pass to this resort so I can't comment on the rooms. The beach had a lack of shade so we found ourselves shuffling our chair to try and stay under the palm trees. Plus the water was pretty rough the day we visited and not all the floating loungers were in water shallow enough for us to walk up to. I thought the tortoise enclosure was a delightful suprise! Underwhelmed by the lunch main course options but enjoyed Cafe 1761! Dinner was astounding in the Italian Restaurant!

Beach is absolutely beautiful. Rooms are very nice, very clean and well kept, just yards from the beach. Food is by far the best I've ever had in all-inclusive resort. Staff is incredibly nice andthere to help everywhere you turn. I highly recommend.

Best sand on the island compared to the west, staff are awesome, lots to do if u want. A little out way, making it quiet. Driving to here is a challenge. 4 wheel is highly recommended if u must rent; otherwise, Rental is not recommended. Let someone else stress about people and potholes.

I'll start with positives, the beach was lovely, good cocktails, the food was tasty and the rooms were clean and spacious. The new coffee shop is also a plus. I would highly recommend the beachfront rooms due to location and view. Now the negatives. Expect to be charged $5 per person, per night in tourist tax. That's $100 for a 10 night stay. They also charge a service fee of $24 per room. That's $240 for 10 nights. So $340 additional costs. This is for cleaning and WiFi. The WiFi is patchy and the rooms are cleaned every other day. This is extortionate and unreasonable. We also found that unless you tip every staff member highly, for each drink and meal, you will receive poor service from the majority of staff. That said, the staff in the spa are incredibly friendly and provide an excellent service. On the whole we had a lovely time, but I would not choose this hotel again, given the choice. I just don't think it's value for money.

After reading some reviews, we were a bit concerned that we had booked this resort. But after having spent our March break there,it was absolutely a great decision. Honestly can't understand a lot of the negative reviews. Some people are just too picky apparently. Yes the rooms are a bit underwhelming, but we didn't spend a lot of waking time in the room, the AC worked well and the bed was quite comfortable. We also had plenty of hot water for showering and a great view of the beach. The beach was one of, if not the best we've visited yet. The staff were all friendly and helpful especially Margaret and the sweetheart bartender at the restaurant bar(apologies for forgetting her name). The resort grounds were great. The buffet and pool grill were good, but the a la carte was excellent. Drinks were good as well especially the old fashioned rum punch. We will definitely be making a return visit to Antigua and Jolly Beach Resort.

I must say, it exceeded my expectations! The food and drinks were delicious, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the beach was beautiful. Although the hotel was fully booked, we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was easy to secure shade and beach chairs, and there were no long lines for food and drinks. We had no issues with hot water or the public bathrooms, which were always clean. We appreciated that the tap water in our room was safe to drink, making things more convenient. The weather was gorgeous every day, with quick and light rain showers that didn't bother us at all. We loved our vacation in Jolly Beach!

Rooms were very outdated and a bit disappointing. They dont clean your room or change bedding at all when you stay there. We were there for 7 days & the floors and bedding get quite sandy & we ran out of shampoo etc. You don't get fresh towels unless you ask at the front desk & it took 2 days to get them. Music every night was great. The food was amazing. The beach was incredible! It definitely made up for the low quality rooms. The tour desk was great in scheduling fun activities.

Read so many reviews on this place, we came with an open mind and lower expectations. Our trip was in March, not a lot of people here to my surprise. The pool was great, pool bar was sufficient. The grill behind the pool bar was great, the chicken wraps are delicious. Not too many food selections other than the buffet, unless you explore outside of the resort. No real issues at the buffet, but check out the hours of operation and plan accordingly. Room was sufficient, king bed, ac worked great. Yes it’s a bit dated but comfortable. We have been to Cancun numerous times, no comparison, but we were not expecting such. We recommend going to Shirley heights for their bbq on Sunday evening, lots of people, great food and great views. We also booked power snorkeling, book it! We would consider this an average place, great beaches, views etc. Most of the activities are elsewhere and require a 45 minute drive. It’s a great place to relax at the pool and the beach. Would we stay here again, probably not. Probably closer to 3.5 stars than 4.

This resort is a such diamond. Honestly the beach alone would sell it but everything the food, drinks and hospitality are 11/10 I came on my honeymoon here for 2 weeks and me and wife had the best time ever. All the staff are so helpful and attentive. My wife lost her apple watch in the bedsheets we told front of house and they managed to dig it out of the mountains of laundry they do daily. Staff members like Clinton really went the extra mile to make us feel happy and cared for at the resort. Rebecca at the tours desk was so funny but hardworking and efficient she even came and found us on the beach to let us know our tour was booked. The pizza factory is so nice too my advice is book it as much as possible as the drinks are better than the normal stuff at the bar. The resort is very old so don't go expecting 5* facilities your plug socket might not work in your room but if you view it as a place to just sleep and not spend the whole day you'll be fine. I would definitely come back in the future. As long as you know what you're getting you won't be disappointed

We are currently at Hawksbill for a few more days…. I am struggling to understand the high praise for service that so many people comment on. My wife and I have found the service to be Poor at best, there are staff that walk around without a care in the world, my mum used to say “they look like they’re chewing a wasp!” There are several staff who will not crack a smile, they struggle to acknowledge your existence… we are quiet reserved people and it would appear unless you have a loud mouth, you’re more or less ignored! As for drinks… we have ordered multiple different types of cocktails and they all arrive looking and tasting the same! Food is average at best, some days are better than others, we paid for the beach side dinner for a special occasion, apart from a lovely setting and the only exception regarding service which was excellent, save your money, the food was average and massively over seasoned, we couldn’t eat 2 dishes due to the excess salt! Although the server brought us plate with a sparkler on it wishing us a happy anniversary, the dessert was 3 small pieces of cake, No thought. No imagination and certainly no flavour! The sea grapes bar area has to be the worst service, it feels like they blatantly ignore you! £450 per night is not cheap, I realise there are less expensive and substantially more expensive resorts but for us this was a special occasion and we pushed the boat out… it is fair to say the only thing this resort has going for it is the location… we will not return and I would advise and caution people to read all reviews across all platforms to get a good overall picture before splashing your hard earned money!

We spent a week at Hawksbill Resort and couldn't be happier with our stay! The entire experience was wonderful from start to finish. The food was delicious and plentiful and a couple bars around the resort for cocktails! The staff were truly exceptional—so warm, welcoming, and always going above and beyond to make sure guests were enjoying themselves. The resort itself is perfect for a relaxing getaway. It's peaceful and quiet, with four beautiful beaches to choose from and a lovely pool area. We especially appreciated the shuttle services to St. John’s and Shirley Heights—great for a quick outing without any hassle. One of the highlights was how accommodating the staff were on our departure day. With a late-night flight, we were allowed to enjoy the facilities all day and were even given a room to shower and freshen up before heading to the airport. Such thoughtful service really made a difference.

Wife and I spent 11 days at this beautiful resort. The staff is fantastic and do a wonderful job. Food is varied and well prepared. You certainly get enough to eat and drink! Grounds are well looked after and the infinity pool is gorgeous. The 4 beaches and views are spectacular. The beach bungalows are private and quiet. If you want peaceful serenity it's found here.

We had an excellent 5-night stay at Hawksbill Resort and would definitely stay again in the future. Location: The resort is located in a cove that almost feels private with how secluded it is. There are beautiful views in every direction that you look, with beautiful blue waters and excellent sunsets with the resort facing west. It is a 20-30 minute cab ride from the airport, which was easy to book when we landed. There are plenty of options for tours, including boat tours where you can get picked up directly at the resort. The resort is definitely on the quieter side, so this is just something to know if you are looking for more of a party atmosphere. We are in our 40s and were on the younger side of people during our stay. Rooms: We spent most of our stay in one of the Royal Palm Beach Bungalows, which was lovely. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom is huge with a nice tub. In these rooms, you get a shaded pergola and your own chairs directly on the beach. The beach in front of these rooms was a bit more rocky than the main beach, but it is a short walk to any of the beaches. We did spend our first night in one of the Garden View Bungalows due to changing our trip dates, and the condition of this room was not as much what we expected. We had a corner unit where the view from the window was of a fence in the back of the property, and the room definitely needed some upgrades (cracks in the floor, broken blinds in the shower, etc.). I know that the property is in the process of doing renovations, so hopefully this room (Room 81) is on the list. Amenities: The grounds are beautiful, with four different options for beaches, in addition to the amazing infinity pool on a hill overlooking the ocean. It did seem that the beach chairs tended to be claimed early, though we never had any issues getting chairs near the pool. It is easy to get kayaks, snorkeling gear, etc. to use. We enjoyed the food, especially for being buffet style. There were always different options (including local options) in addition to staples. We also booked a private dinner, which was a multi-course meal with excellent ambiance. Drinks were delicious with a wide variety of options. My wife got a massage, to which she gave positive reviews. Service: Overall, the service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and there was always someone around to help when needed. We never had to wait long for a drink or anything else we were looking for. Special shout-out to Sackeno (sorry if I got the spelling wrong) and Errol, who were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, we loved our relaxing stay and would recommend Hawksbill to anyone. As mentioned, hopefully renovations on all of the rooms continue to make the property even nicer.

We were here for our honeymoon 36 years ago, and were excited to feel some of the same magic in one of their Royal Palm Beach villas. We were instead taken to room 133, seemingly "miles" from everything to nothing more than a hotel room overlooking the water. They said it was in error, but my husband and I can't help wondering if our premium room we booked wasn't given to another party staying longer. The manager and staff did what they could to compensate, but it has soured our whole second experience. Word to the wise, make sure they have your correct reservation before you arrive

We stayed for 6 nights in March and really loved our time! The resort is very well kept and clean. Beds are very comfortable and bathroom is roomy. Rika and Risa on the service team are fantastic and we had so much fun getting to know them! Leon at the main bar is great and makes the best drinks! The tour desk is very helpful and helped us book 3 excursions including Shirley heights, the Calypsos cat, and a private fishing tour! The restaurants are wonderful. We ate at every option, and were very impressed with the food. We wish there were more variety in breakfast options but other than that we enjoyed the food! We will for sure be returning!

The views all over the resort are amazing, the rooms have good space, and the food is generally very tasty. The service wait times are the biggest area that needs improvement; it can take a very long time to get food at the restaurants, and bar lines can be very long. People are very nice, but more staff would be good, because the existing ones are spread pretty thin. I'd come back here.

Rooms are: very roomy, beautifully finished, bathroom is large, views are absolutely incredible in the Waterfront King Suites! Service is so friendly, kind and funn! Location is Amazing! Only a short 30 minute drive from the airport ; different elevations on the resort property so there's so many different views you get ; 2 beaches with so many different activities for options to do! Numerous amount of restaurants and bars, drinks and food delicious! Everything at Resort is beautifully updated with a beach paradise look and very clean! Highly recommend!🧡

This resort markets itself as a luxury destination, but in reality, it is anything but. The property is outdated and in desperate need of renovations, with worn furnishings, faded decor, and an overall sense of neglect. The common areas feel run-down rather than refined, and cleanliness is clearly not a priority, as some spaces appear poorly maintained. The amenities are underwhelming, with a particularly small pool that feels inadequate for the resort’s size. Service is astonishingly slow, especially considering the low occupancy during our stay. At one of the resort’s restaurants, it took over 90 minutes to receive a simple sandwich—despite the restaurant being nearly empty. When the food finally arrived, it was inedible, forcing us to look elsewhere for a meal. We decided to try the resort’s dedicated pizza place, which also had no other customers. We were told our pizza would be ready in 25 minutes, but when we returned, they hadn’t even placed it in the (fully visible) pizza oven yet. When we asked about it, they casually informed us it would be another 30 minutes—meaning nearly an hour to get a basic pizza with no apparent reason for the delay. To make matters worse, one of us ended up with food poisoning after dining here, which speaks volumes about the resort’s food quality and hygiene standards. This resort fails to deliver on its luxury promise in every way. The facilities are worn, the service is painfully slow, and the overall experience is frustrating rather than enjoyable. With so many true luxury options available, there is no reason to waste time or money here.

I had a wonderful day pass stay at this 5-star, kid-friendly hotel. It was the perfect combination of relaxation and fun. The service was exceptional, and the food was delicious, with a variety of options. The amenities were top-notch, with a fantastic adult and kiddies pool, and plenty of activities to keep you entertained. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, making it a great place to unwind. My only regret is not getting a room because after all those delicious meals, ethnic fatigue had its way with me. However, I highly recommend staying here. 👌

DO NOT pay attention to the negative reviews about this resort! We came end of March 2025 for a week. The amenities, service, and location are all fantastic and we loved every day of our trip. Our room was large and clean and very comfortable. The food is delicious and we found it very easy to secure reservations through the Royalton app. The beach was pristine! The staff friendly, welcoming and engaging. We couldn’t have asked for a better vacation and had we had paid attention to some of the reviews, we would have missed out on a fabulous experience. I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to recommend this resort!

If you're visiting Royalton Chic Antigua I highly recommend joining the Aqua Fit sessions—it's the perfect way to start your day feeling refreshed and energized. Special shout out to Daniel for going above and beyond his fitness role assisting my friend and I to contact locals to secure our ferry trip to Barbuda which we were attempting to complete for 5 days, without luck. He was very personable and we appreciate the extra effort he took to engage us.

enjoyed a much-needed vacation at the beginning of January 2025 at a small resort that was well-maintained. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the room service was great. However, the food was just okay—not bad, but nothing special. The customer service left something to be desired. While the employees were friendly, it seemed they lacked proper training in hospitality, as they appeared to have been hired without any formal preparation. The beach was public, which meant there were many people walking along it trying to sell their products, which I found bothersome. It was difficult to relax with constant interruptions. The entertainment during the week was disappointing; I would rate it a zero on a scale of 1 to 10. It's unclear how they organized it, but it certainly didn’t live up to expectations. If you're looking for a quiet and restful vacation, I recommend going during the week. The atmosphere changes significantly on Fridays and weekends, as the party crowd arrives. Overall, while the location and property were nice, there are significant improvements needed in both entertainment and customer service. Despite these issues, I would consider returning to this property.

Just returned from a weeks vacation. What a wonderful vacation and resort. Great location, resort was clean and well-maintained. Pool and beach were both beautiful. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable . The property was also very clean. Beautiful beach with plenty of chairs. The service was not the greatest very slow in restaurants and most of the servers were not friendly. The vibe team was great though everyone in that area was super friendly and helpful. I have to believe the people raving about this “resort” aren’t Americans. The Brits on holiday seemed quite happy, but there is no way this is a 4 star hotel. Pros: the people who work there are friendly, it’s pretty at first glance (shabby up close, though!), the sand on the beach there is powder soft and the room was decent. That’s it. The beach is tiny and never any free lounges, the pools are small and cold, service is slow if you get any to begin with, and the activities desk was no help in steering us in the right direction. My local taxi driver was the best source of information. The bath towels were thin and rough, though the pool towels were a bit better. The food is fair, at best, and limited menus make it hard to stay on property. They charged $7 US for a glass of Coke! Whatever you do, don’t waste your money on the all inclusive plan, that’s for sure! There was no value for the money we paid and I’m extremely disappointed at what we got in exchange for the hefty bill. I expected some luxury, attentive service, and the feel of a good resort. This felt more like a shabby hotel that had seen better days.

I have been in Blue Waters for 10 days with my family and it is a beautiful hotel with a very friendly staff. Plenty of space in every single swimming pool, you can always find a deck chair available no matter what time of the day. The Penthouse has a beautiful view and you get your private swimming pool to share with only a few rooms but it was always empty. The manager, Nicole, was very professional and always very attentive, definitely we will be back

Highly recommended Blue Water, we had the best stay here. The staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful, they had thought of all the little things including fruit sticks and ice lollies as you were sat around the pool and beach. The food was amazing, we did the all-inclusive offer and thought it was great value for money. The rooms and facilities are lovely and so relaxing. We hope to come back very soon!

Not only is the position of the hotel amazing and has great facilities BUT it is their wonderful staff that make this place SO VERY different and so special. Many of the staff have been their decades and often a couple of generations are working there. ALL of the staff, from gardeners to maintenance crew to the security lady on the gate ...are warm smiley people and super super friendly. The restaurant staff are some of the best in the world! You feel you have truly arrived back home with family when you arrive at Blue Waters. This feeling comes from the hearts' of the staff. What is interesting is that in this atmosphere of friendliness and joy, not only do you relax but the guests follow the lead of the staff and they become more smiley, warm and friendly with each other. Friendships that last, are made here. This adds up to an environment that is second to none! You totally relax here and enjoy the happy vibe and all that is on offer. We have visited 4 times now and it is still one of the best places to be in the world. It has things like yoga pavillions, Gym, Spa, watersports, adult only pool, 3 different restaurants etc....SUPERB chef.... but it has something magic too that other places do not have and find hard to replicate.. GENUINE, CARING, FRIENDLY, HAPPY, WARM, NICE and "exceptionally good at their job" staff! The Cove restaraunt is worth every penny it is the best magical venue for dinner. It has SUPERB staff. Thank you Sara and team for making everyone's evening so very special. Lucinda never retire, Rachel your empathy is so appreciated, young Niyana you are training in the best place. Brian 1 and Brian 2 and Sheddy and Orie we thank you all. My husband had to be away one evening and all the team took such extra special care of me a the Cove. They even found our favourite Greywacke wine for us. Nothing is ever too much trouble. I can not thank you enough. For the first time this year we thought we would go to another resort ( the Relais Chateaux name encouraged us) for the 2nd week of our holiday. Believing we should just "look around the corner" as we were celebrating our 40th anniversary. This was a big mistake. We have regretted the decision to not stay for 2 weeks at BW. The only lovely, friendly, genuinely warm member of staff we found in the new hotel was....a young waiter who also works at BW! In truth as i write this, i have not unpacked and am thinking of forgetting the money spent and asking BW if they can find a room for us! Thank you BW team!

It’s not that often you find a hotel that has an incredible culture, Carlisle Bay certainly has this at its highest level. We had the pleasure of coming with our little boy and he was treated like a prince from the moment we arrived. The staff at Carlisle Bay went above and beyond to ensure our family felt welcome and cared for. Ganja is incredible and is definitely a rising star for the hotel. From the warm greetings at check-in to the thoughtful touches in our room, every detail was meticulously planned to make our stay unforgettable. What truly sets Carlisle Bay apart is the genuine kindness and attentiveness of the team. They remembered our names, our preferences, and even our little boy’s favorite snacks. The kids' club was a dream come true for him, and it gave us the chance to relax and enjoy the stunning beachfront and luxurious spa and the gym. The dining experience was exceptional, with a variety of options that catered to every taste, including our picky eater. The fresh, locally sourced ingredients and the chefs' creativity made every meal a delight. Note: please attend the Thursday buffet, world class. When you try the corn try not to cry with happiness as it’s something else! Carlisle Bay isn’t just a hotel; it’s a sanctuary where you can truly unwind and create lasting memories. From the moment we arrived, we knew that we were among a team who love what they do.Greeted at the airport & driven to the resort,everything was organised in advance.The process of going through customs & baggage claim, chaperoned by a Carlisle Bay representative was seamless. We were greeted on our evening arrival by Kevonne, a lovely young man who got us set up in our room & made sure that nothing distracted us from our first dinner reservation. We settled quickly in our beautiful beach access suite & were escorted to Indigo to meet Kareem, a wonderful host & Michael, the sommelier, who was always smiling, gracious & fully engaged with our needs. The menus across the restaurants; Indigo, East & Ottimo, give you a broad selection with something for everyone. From your favourite salads, pasta dishes, pizzas, sushi, steaks & burgers, our only concern was not to consume too much. We enjoyed an all-inclusive stay & would highly recommend it. At Indigo, we fell in love with the staff. After a mere 48hrs, they were on first name terms w/ our entire family & Georgier, Leanne, Shantez, Jerica & Audicia, really did represent a highlight of our dining experience. Nothing was too much & the service could be described as nothing short of exceptional. Somewhat awkward subject is how much service represents too much or too little?! On an all-inclusive experience, you want to be afforded enough attention so as not to feel neglected, but you also don't want to be bothered unnecessarily. At CB, we always felt that the staff were attentive at all the right times. They were discrete & always sensitive to our 'private' conversations or family moments. We should note that our beach service from Len, encapsulated this perfectly. He was always there when we needed something, never hovering, never missing for long periods. As a team, the staff understood our needs perfectly, and as much credit as the individuals deserve in this regard, the management are also worthy of immense praise & credit. East is the Asian dining experience & the choice & quality is again exceptional. Michelle was a wonderful host, Jerica & Samaya became friends who made us excited about going back. Michael, the sommelier, seemed to be everywhere, bringing a smile to our experience and even encouraging our little boy, to eat his broccoli. Which he did. The staff have left an indelible impression on my family & I that will last as long as memories of the beautiful geography of the Bay itself. On that note, the waters are calm & clear. In march, the weather was perfect & the occasional rain worked wonders to cleanse the air & give you a break from the otherwise perfect heat & slight humidity. The tennis facilities & tennis coaching are excellent, no matter your skill level. There are paid lessons & complimentary group clinics. The kid's club (for 3+), is an incredible resource. Leaving your kids can be tricky, but the staff at kid's club were just as special to our children as the other staff elsewhere had become to our entire family. The Jetty Grill is also an incredible dining experience & though it is adult only, there's a weekly bbq w/ a live calypso band where children are welcome.The water sports team are outstanding.There are paid experiences, but canoes, pedalos, snorkels & masks are readily available for free on a first come first served basis. There are so many members of the team that I have failed to mention, but one we cannot forget is Vida from housekeeping.She was able to restore our suite to the check-in condition. Not just a daily turn down service, but incredible pride & attention to detail. Every evening, she made the idea of returning back to the suite a complete pleasure. We have had a beautiful experience at CB & as noted,aside from the magical culture & geography of Antigua, CB have done an exceptional job of bottling all of these elements for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. One we hope, as our family grows, we will be able to experience as many times as we possibly can.

This is a wonderful location in Antigua, specifically great for families with young children. Our almost 2-year-old had a blast, which is our main barometer for a successful vacation these days. The Kids Club is great, with lots of toys (especially cars) in an air-conditioned setting, as well as a small splash pool, a pretty playground on sand, plastic scooters and all sorts of games and classes, with a very sweet group of caretakers who are lovely with the kids. The resort itself is situated on a paradisiacal beach with lazy water lapping in and out, perfect for floating, swimming, daytime snoozes with a paperback and solid rest at night. Some further breakdown of our experience: Pros - beautiful location with oceanfront patio suites, calm waters and a walkable beach; friendly atmosphere and well-kept grounds with lush plants, pathways and a koi pool; genuine, welcoming and helpful staff dedicated to customer service, who always stop to talk and joke with children; the suites are large and they are very well-cleaned each day, enjoy the small touches like a little water pool for dipping feet, free dried fruits, a fancy coffee machine; excellent breakfast with a view at Indigo and a warm breeze (daily smoothies, omelette and avocado toast were the go-tos); free kids’ pizzas at their Italian restaurant during the day; the Asian restaurant is the best choice for dinner, as dinner at Indigo left a little to be desired; afternoon iced tea with tiny sandwiches and cookies; a solid gym with a second floor setting and new equipment. We didn’t try the spa but it looked sleek and restful. Cons: bit of a drive from the airport (40 minutes) but worth the ride; it is expensive and the food is overpriced, I’m talking New York City+ expensive for most of the menu items, so that is something to consider. Likely the case at most upscale resorts though. The room, bathroom and bed are nice, but don’t expect St. Barth’s glitz or anything - I personally enjoy the more minimalist white-walled style. The outstanding location, picture-perfect beach, kids club, unique perks, and truly wonderful staff are the reasons to choose this resort.

Foremost, the staff is great: knowledgeable, friendly and will go that "extra mile" to assist you. The beach is beautiful; chaise lounges and towels for all, but get out there early if you want chairs near to your room location. Bartenders can pretty well concoct anything you want with a few limitations. A few top drawer liquors choices are charged plenty extra to have even if you are on full inclusive room/meal plan. I wish you well with the overly fancy coffeemaker in the room; it took me a few days to get hang of this gizmo. Good massage in the spa; fair job on the shampoo and blow dry (expensive at $70 plus almost 25% in taxes and service charges). We have been to Antigua 6 X now, but this is the first experience at Carlisle Bay.

Galley Bay Cottages was a cozy and peace spot. We enjoyed having a kitchen and balcony. The host was incredibly helpful. We highly recommend these off-the-beaten path cottages.

Beautiful Caribbean style cottages with a breathtaking sea view and constant gentle breeze. The host is kind and helpful. Bath toiletries and kitchen items are provided. If you're cooking, you only need to purchase food ingredients, as a variety of seasonings, olive oil, vinegar, tea, coffee, even paper towels are on hand. The host's attention to detail is phenomenal. Be prepared to walk up a steep driveway and several steps, but that's just the added benefit of exercise. A recommended stay!

Back again once again at the Cottages, I believe for our 5th visit to the beautiful island of Antigua. Always a consistent experience; a well-kept and -appointed, somewhat secluded spot. The beauty of the location is it's only minutes from the port area of St. John's, so you're not far from things you need. Car optional if you don't mind a bit of walking and/or using public transit. Galley Bay Beach was red-flagged every day this time, and there are no lounge chairs to use, so hint: bring a hammock! Marco takes great care of us time and time again.

Think Marco is planning on selling it to some big developer, so does not give a hoot about this place. Seriously, look elsewhere. Think the good reviews are all paid. My review is real.

We come to these cottages year after year. The beach is a 5 minute hike but I'd rather sit in my private tropical paradise anyway. Well appointed kitchen so we cook our own breakfasts and some dinners. We have stayed in them all. Spice this year. Propane bbq for grilling. Decent grocery store 10 minutes away so you don't have to drive in the hell of St. John's!

Incredible experience here. Quiet, no children, private pool in every villa. The food is exceptional 😋 Staff are all friendly and very good at what they do, and the excursions are fun. Loved the Pink Panther tour of the island. We will absolutely be back. Shout out to the rum bar and the incredible chefs that really make this place special.

5 stars across the board!! If you’re looking for a quiet, boutique style hotel, with luxury service and amenities… this is the hotel for you! This was my husband and my first experience at an all inclusive hotel and we were thoroughly surprised by the experience offered at hammock cove. We stayed at Verandah a few days prior to Hammock cove and the experience was vastly different. Hammock cove prides themselves on service which you can tell immediately based on how friendly ALL of the staff is. They are constantly checking in on each guest to ensure they are satisfied and comfortable. Having your own concierge is really wonderful. Just to have someone who is always available to help you book a dinner, spa service, or order in room dining is so lovely. We stayed in a waterfront villa and it was exceptional! Huge bathrooms, fully stocked mini bar, private infinity pool, all around so lovely. My husband and I would spend our morning at the gym, get breakfast, then relax at the beach and end our afternoon in the private pool. This hotel is the pinnacle of RELAXATION. The food is wonderful! Breakfast service at the main restaurant was great, tons of healthy options. Lunch on the beach was a bit small and limited, but you could always head to the main restaurant for more options. For dinner you had three restaurants to choose from - the main restaurant, the steakhouse, and the Michelin inspired lighthouse restaurant. All meals we shared here were delightful! They host different small events at the hotel each day like a beach bbq or cooking class to keep guests engaged. Don’t skip out on the spa services! I am pregnant and couldn’t participate in many of the excursions that the hotel offered, but my prenatal massage was INCREDIBLE and so relaxing. Overall, it’s obvious we loved our stay here and we cannot wait to come back!

Hands down the most amazing food of any resort we’ve been to. Every person that works there were simply outstanding. The chef is very personable and will accommodate most requests, though the options are already fantastic. Troy, the Restaurant manager is professional, knowledgeable and funny. This resort is a must do if going to Antigua. Our Ambassador Leon, treated us as if we were the most important guests. The beach food and service was exceptional. Raw oysters, Rock lobster, shrimp, octopus, Calamari, Italian Sausage were just a few options.

This is really a 4.5. My husband and I went here for our honeymoon. We had an amazing time and overall felt pampered and relaxed. The resort is beautiful, the food was consistently good or exceptional but beach service needs improvement. Our lead ambassador was Randal who was exceptional, and Sheldon and Terran were very good as well. Everyone at the lighthouse was great, and service at Irina was good. We ate every night at the lighthouse and had breakfast and lunch at Irina or room service. We loved room service and on average it took around 30 minutes. We did the calypso cat (the snorkeling was okay) which was fun and also rented a car for a day with the front desk. Now to the beach… We were once waiting an hour and a half for food and left hungry! Other three couples also left tired of waiting. We ended up going to Irina’s (took five minutes to be served) and our ambassador appeared at our room apologetic three hours later with the food we had ordered at the beach. I was surprised the food ever came, but at this point we didn’t want it anymore. The staff at the beach needs training and better organization. They were taking orders and fullfiling them one at a time when there were over 10 couples at the beach, and no one was getting food. We saw that two of the three times we went to the beach during the week. We also made a special request for bourbon and whiskey, but we never got them. That wasn’t a big deal for us but worth mentioning. They should have just told us they couldn’t get what we requested and offer alternatives. Recommendations for the resort: 1. the patios in the villas need a fan; 2. rooms need readily available snacks like potato or plantain chips and cookies. Sometimes you just want an immediate snack.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hammock Cove! We were looking for a quiet, luxurious getaway with exceptional service and food, and this resort met our expectations in every way. Unlike other all-inclusives we’ve visited where the food and service felt average, Hammock Cove truly stands out. We were initially concerned about having only a few dining options, but the Lighthouse’s nightly changing menu kept things fresh and exciting—each meal was better than the last! The Sommelier was a fantastic touch, adding to the overall dining experience. And the 7 course dinner on Wednesday night was exceptional! My husband loved fishing off the dock daily (thank you to the staff for keeping him entertained), while I enjoyed soaking up the sun in the water hammocks. The seafood grill on the beach one afternoon was another highlight; the lobster and fresh fish were delicious. I will forever dream of the chicken curry we had for lunch one day. The resort’s location on the cove is fantastic, offering calm, swimmable waters with minimal seaweed—perfect for a relaxing dip. At times, it felt like we had the whole resort to ourselves, making it even more peaceful and exclusive. The resort is quiet, and the bars close nightly by 10:30. There is no real entertainment, but they do have a lounge room open each night above the lobby with games, TV's, and a server. They also stock each room with a full bar (which is lovely btw), and there is 24-hour room service. If you’re looking for a relaxing and peaceful 5-star escape, with fantastic service and dining, we highly recommend Hammock Cove!
