We loved the place, me and my wife had a wonderful time there. It was the first family trip from different countries and we got together in adults only, best decision. The shows were great, at the beginning we didn't know where to start the fun but Arianna was great taking us to dance and she was big and important part of our experience, we will definitely come back. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, the food had several options , everyone was nice to us and we felt appreciated as guests in the hotel. Also we almost lost our passports but the staff were looking for us to give it back, they were very proactive about it. It worth every dollar! Can't wait to go back.

I enjoyed the location and the restaurants were very good. The beach is very nice and got to swim with sea turtles in the ocean. The tours were really nice and everyone was really helpful. The one suggestion would be to have updated pillows. The ones we had we were very flat and lumpy so my neck hurt from sleeping since there wasn't much support. Otherwise it was really nice stay. Frenyer (entertainment) was really nice to stop by and talk with us and teach us some Spanish.

Absolutely loved this place. Stayed in the pool rooms on the adult side and enjoyed the more laid back feel as compared to the Palace side. When we felt like playing, we walked down the walkway to the Palace. The beach is gorgeous. The food is decent. The staff is very helpful and attentive. The resort does a great job of maintaining the landscaping and public spaces. Drinks were great. One thing I would recommend is to make sure you are Premium.

Loved our time here! We were premium on the adult side and we had the best time. I highly recommend premium for the spa benefits and ability to book dinner reservations via email before coming here. Pretty much all of the restaurants are on the other side and the better of the entertainment too, but having a more quiet beach with much less people is so nice. The food here is great, there is something for everyone. However I do prefer the buffet on the family side. If you don't mind a bit of a walk along the beach or a quick train ride, book adult side and you won't be sorry! Don't listen to anyone who complains, this resort is beautiful, clean and we would totally Come back!

It's a great place in general. Thought I wished the premium package was offered at trip purchase at a discount. And room upgrades are more expensive then if you got them through your initial purchase. WiFi coverage is amazing. Food ranges from good to ordinary. The staff is very professional and friendly. But make sure you brush up on your Spanish, otherwise, some information will be lost in translation for special requests. The beach and pools are great. Alcohol selection is very good. Beach vendors were not as aggressive as at some other resorts. But if you stray from the hotel, it's open season. One thing I did not like was the travel club pitch, it was too long until they got to the point. Should you wish to go through the 60 to 90 presentation, then ask them to go to the point quickly.

Butler was great (Rodney). Always ready to assist us when needed. Great staff member for TRS. All wait and bartender staff was great too. Always willing to assist. Areas for opportunity would be more consistent room service but this may be due to our room keys didn’t work most of the time. Needed constant reprogramming. Also it was a challenge to get transportation for place to place especially for dinner when we were dressed up. Carts would pass us even though we tried to get them to stop for us.

All of the staff and butlers were amazing. Jean, Lloana, and the trainee Sterling made us feel very welcome always. They were very quick to act to be sure our expectations were met. The grounds are well groomed, the food was wonderful and easily accessible to all. The pools are very well maintained and multiple options to relax. We will definitely be returning. See you soon!

Our overall experience was great! We chose to stay in the adult only resort. So, it was quiet & the swimup pool access was enjoyable. The room was nice & clean, but a little dated. All of the staff we encountered was very pleasant Our butler Jean's customer service skills were top notch! He was very attentive to our needs and really took care of us! All we had to do was say I/we want... & it was provided or taken care of! Not only was he our butler, but also our brother in Christ! Hopefully next time we can request him as our butler! We definitely look forward to returning for a future vacation!

We stayed at Turquesa for a wonderful week. Manny was our butler, super helpful and friendly. The cleaners and the various restaurant/bar staff were always welcoming and did a great job! Shout out to the many gardners also, who kept the resort looking beautiful in boiling temperatures. The choice of restaurants and food were overwhelming! Never eat so much in my life :-p The entertainment was amazing, every night there was a theatre show and plenty of places to dance or listen to live music. If its your anniversary like us, mention it to your butler! We stayed in a junior suite pool side room, right near the main pool and a quick walk to the beach. Tip - be wary of salespeople in the lobby trying to promote the travel club membership. Although they are very friendly, they will try to convince you to see a presentation and sign you up to something you probably don't want or can't afford. It's just a bit too much when you first arrive and want to get to the beach already. The room was a bit dated, but everything worked, thankfully the A/C!! Overall an amazing stay with TRS Turquesa and we would return one day for sure.

Good afternoon my wife and I spent four days at Breathless Punta Cana. I would have to say our stay overall was decent. The food at the resort was good. The checking in process was good as well and housekeeping as well. The area of concern would be the waitstaff, In the bars specifically. We found them to be rude, slow in getting orders done and at times annoyed. The waitresses/waiter will come around and collect cups and not ask if we would like another drink. In our experience there, there was only one waiter that appeared to be helpful near the barefoot grill (his name escapes me currently). I would rate our stay a 7/10. This is our second Breathless resort that we have stayed at, the first one being in Cancun and there is a difference in character and temperament. Hopefully this isn’t a reflection on the other resorts because we do enjoy the Hyatt resorts.

The E-Team is energetic, engaging, and truly adds to the vibrant atmosphere. The entire staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful, ensuring my stay was nothing short of perfect. The rooms and facilities were spotless, and the housekeeping team maintained everything to a high standard of cleanliness throughout my week stay. The food and drinks were excellent, and having access to Dreams Onyx was an added bonus! We also met many wonderful guests, which contributed to the overall experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone. I’m already looking forward to returning!

Staying next door in the DREAMS ONYX but you get access to the Breathless facilities. Staff and surroundings excellent. Have only eaten at the steak restaurant but the rib eye and T bone were fantastic. Would recommend the Seafood cream as a starter if you want surf rather than turf.

At check in. They prompted us to book something the following morning for a vacation timeshare, which was a two hour waste of our time the following morning and I would recommend that you not attend it. They were extremely pushy. The room itself was a standard room and it was adequate. Our room is on the first floor, and our outside area was basically grass and mud with two lounge chairs, which we never used. The shower water was cold a couple times, but it eventually warmed up and it wasn’t a major issue. The staff was very friendly and did appreciate when they were tipped. The people that were vacationing, there were probably between 30 and 60 years old for the most part and we all had a great time together and most people were very friendly. The entertainment was lacking as the shows were nothing special, but nonetheless, they were OK. They had a pool party one night that was a lot of fun, but it was only the one night otherwise the pool is closed at 6. We thought that it would’ve been nice of the pools were open later being that it was adults only resort, but that was OK also. The beach was beautiful, but somewhat rocky when entering the water and there were people trying to sell you stuff, but I didn’t find it to be a huge problem. I found the property to be very pretty and clean and safe. Most of the restaurants were clean and very nice looking however the food left much to be desired. One night we had to return to the buffet after dinner because our food was not good at the steakhouse at the Onyx resort. The French restaurant at the Onyx resort was not good either. All the wine at any restaurants was horrible. They were all Spanish wines. It was pretty much the same one with the choice of white Merlot or Cabernet, but they were all terrible nonetheless and sometimes undrinkable. The drinks at most of the bars were not bad and the one bartender Alberto at the party pool was a lot of fun and also Carlos U was a fun bartender. If you’re looking for a really fun place to party with pretty good drinks and friendly bartenders and very friendly vacationers from the US and Canada and Germany and Columbia, etc. it would be a fun place for you. I did fine the resort to be a lot of fun with some minor setbacks with the food and wine. When all the sudden and done, I would probably go back there again we stayed for only four nights five days, and it was the perfect length of time to be there I think.

This was my first ever all inclusive experience, and it was everything I hoped it was going to be! The atmosphere was so relaxed and beautiful! The staff was all great, especially our main server for the week, Angel! He made the whole week sooooo much better! I would definitely recommend Breathless to friends and family and will most definitely return again! Thank you to all the staff that made my first time memorable!!

Outstanding service from all staff! Stunning property and modern rooms. I wish they had more options for restaurants but the food was good overall. I enjoyed speciality drinks they made at Coco cafe. If I had to pick something to be critical about it would be the chairs in the theatre which I found very uncomfortable. The entertainment was great! I even got to participate in a complimentary painting class which was a lot of fun! The preferred section was amazing especially the infinity pool. I can't recommend this resort enough!

We had a great holiday at Secrets Royal Beach and would consider returning. The food was really tasty and fresh, and the service in the restaurants was excellent - staff were friendly, welcoming and professional. All of the staff at the resort worked tirelessly, ensuring high levels of cleanliness. There was also a great variety of entertainment, hosted by an enthusiastic team. The pool staff looked after us, regularly checking if we needed more drinks. Eddy our butler was exceptional, and went out of his way to assist us during our stay. The gym facilities were good, with enough equipment to ensure a decent workout. There were just a few things that were small negatives on an otherwise great stay. The resort is undergoing constant refurbishment - some of the old sockets had not been filled and there were some old wires sticking out in our room. That being said, this maintenance is understandable and we accept works need to be done to ensure the resort is at a high standard. On arrival the room wasn't quite ready with a few amenities missing but these were sorted the next day, thanks to staff and our butler. On a couple of nights, we had very long wait times to get dinner - one night it took over an hour to get seated. Our understanding was there was no reservations at the main restaurants but overheard some people saying staff had reserved a table for them... the policy is confusing and needs to be fair for everyone. Overall, though, a great holiday in a lovely resort. Thanks to all who made it a great experience.

This is an all-inclusive resort. The view is breathtaking. The restaurants were good. I especially enjoyed The Riviera. They had a large, delicious buffet. I enjoy all the delicious drinks the resort had to offer. The entertainment was phenomenal. We enjoyed multiple live music performances. Another great thing? It was connected to Dreams Resort. We got to try out their amazing water slides. Overall, we had a really great time. We loved it.

We had a mostly enjoyable honeymoon until the end. At checkin we received a $200 voucher that we were told could be used on any service on property and would be taken off our bill at checkout. We got massages (that were not remotely good by the way, but it is what it is) and gave the checkout people the voucher upon checking out. We were then told we couldn’t use it because we didn’t give it to the spa. Nobody told us this, including our “butler” whom we tipped very well. It does not state that on the voucher either. We are highly disappointed as they did not accept this voucher for whatever reason. We have canceled an upcoming trip at a Hyatt resort. For being a secrets, this resort is just eh on service (as you can clearly see). Room was fine, nothing special. Location is about a half hour from airport through the town. I would recommend honeymooning or vacationing at a different branded resort. For the price, you can get better service and people who care about their customers at another resort.

I recently stayed at this resort and had a fantastic experience overall. The food was incredibly tasty, offering a variety of delicious options that pleased everyone in our group. The bedrooms were spacious and very clean, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The service was excellent, with staff members who were always friendly and eager to help. From the moment we walked in there, we knew we had made the right decision. The place was super clean, and the front desk, was so friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. The beds were comfortable, breakfast was perfect, and the pool was clean & relaxing. Walking distance to the beach, shops , food, and entertainment. We had the best time and will definitely be back.

We wanted to love Secrets Cap Cana and for the most part we did, there were a few issues. We were there 10/11- 10/18. We had a Preferred Ocean view King suite and originally we were in room 7204 but it was loud with the main pool noise and the people below us in the swim outs. We requested to be moved and it took a day but we got moved to room 8501 which was lovely except it never got very cool in our room. We asked our butler about it and he said that rooms on the top floor don't get as cold. I live in FL and have no issues keeping my one story house cold... but we had the one speed fan so it was bearable. We had a butler and truthfully I not sure what all the hoopla is about, he didn't do much for us so I am not sure I would do that again. Maybe we are low key? The pools were lovely but the Preferred pool was way too crowded. I don't want to lay with 20 other people. The beach was much better and offered shade and a magnificent view and also Maria, the best attendant for drinks, food and fun. As mentioned in previous posts, the food was just ok which was disappointing considering the $$$ spent. There evidently was an issue with some food related illness as I was sick on the evening of 10/17 and so were several others from information at the resort on Friday. We have done Excellence Resorts before and I think I prefer them over Secrets but that is my own opinion.

This truly was a trip of a lifetime. My husband and I stayed here for a full week for our honeymoon the first week of October and it was absolutely amazing!! From the check in to the check out - they make everything so simple and easy. The resort itself is immaculately clean & every single worker there truly wants you to have a wonderful experience. Every worker there is so kind and caring. Our concierge, Alexander was so great! He made sure we had dinner reservations each night, helped us with anything we needed, informed us of activities that were going on at the resort, and even left a couple romantic surprises because he knew we were there for our honeymoon. The atmosphere was beautiful and the food was delicious. They have many different restaurants to choose from so there is a cuisine for everyone. This was my husband’s & I first time outside the US staying at an all inclusive resort. If you are traveling to Punta Cana, this truly is THE PLACE TO STAY AT. It has set our expectations so high for every all inclusive resort we stay at going forward. Secrets cap cana’s motto is “Good is not enough, We are Excellent”. They have exceeded every expectation for me. This is a MUST STAY - You will not be disappointed!!!

Overall, the hotel is really excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for some relaxation by the beach. We stayed 10 nights and felt it was just the right amount of time to enjoy the beach and venture outside for a couple of excursions. The staff is very dedicated and pleasant to interact with. Luis, our concierge, took really good care of us during our stay. Superb service from the beach waiters - especially Danny and Angelina Also, Hector and Guido (as well as others at the Barefoot Cafe) took really good care of us. Thank you guys! I was really happy to see that the staff are kind to the cats that roam the property. Thank you for being kind to animals and helping them with food scraps!

Great experience, they upgraded us to a king suite and it was the nicest room either my wife or I had ever stayed in. The swim out with ocean view was really cool and the room was so big and with a giant fancy bathroom all effectively cooled by the A/C. It was perfect for our honeymoon! I especially enjoyed the free windsurfing and water sports available on the beach. Also shoutout to our personal concierge/butler Joshua! He was such a great help, I broke my phone and he was able to help us organize our third party outside excursion. He was readily available, friendly, and he really added to our positive experience.

This resort is very nice, if you are a pool person this resort is for you. The beach is terrible. The water is all dirty. You cannot swim in it. So if you are a beach person like me, this is not a resort for you. The service by the pool was excellent. All the staff was very nice. By the pool, Oscar was always checking in if everything is good if we need anything else. The entertainment team was also very nice always checking in if everything is OK specially John and Rodrigo. However, I think by the pool more activities should be added, instead of having them in the disco which is hidden away. For example, the Salsa and bachata dance should be by the pool where everybody is all the time. The spa was perfect the Service was excellent and the facility was very clean. Gym also very nice and a good size.

I have nothing but wonderful things to share. We were here for our honeymoon and it was such an amazing experience. Our butler in the castle was Frank and he was so very accommodating. We can say that there is not a lot going on at the resort, so when you do get tired of eating, drinking and swimming, you are done at the resort. Not much entertainment and on two occasions when there was to be evening entertainment, they did not show. Having the butler service though solved that problem quickly. We were ready to leave the resort for something different and when we asked Frank for suggestions, he immediately sprung into action and found us things to do with very short notice. The food was great and the bartenders and all staff was over the top amazing! We will be back with a better plan for excursions. The beach is the least attractive part of the resort. It is muddy, small and full of seaweed and there are no water sports available at the resort. Some extra activities at the beach would be great! They could stand to add some different beers and better wine, but you expect that when going to an all inclusive.

Location and views are incredible. Food was average at best. Most dishes served cold restaurants and buffet. Room was the bigger issue. Changed rooms multiple times. Noisy AC and wouldn’t cool below 75’. Toilet would not stop running. Worse issue was returning one evening to our door being left open from the turn down service. Luckily nothing missing. Very sad and would not recommend. Too many other great options in the DR. Melia is our new go to resort brand. This felt nothing like a Marriott and was the opposite of luxury.

Beautiful hotel with art work and architectural outstanding features throughout hotel. The pools were worth the money. Plenty of private places to observe the area. The staff is outstanding. Our favorite was " Omar " who remembered us after we forgot our stuff on beach. He came to look for us to remind us our things were still on beach. More music is needed and shows. We wanted to dance more in pool. The beach is beautiful, but the water is not. We wanted clear ocean water not mud water. But, if your not a ocean water person. This is outstanding hotel. It’s a pretty resort and really nice pools. But we wouldn’t probably go back. The service was okay but for example they don’t come around often to serve drinks at the pool. And that’s including the excellence club pool. Maybe every hour or two but not regularly. Some of the bartenders don’t know the drinks from their own menu. And instead of clarifying what we’re asking for they just make something random. I got a sangria with no wine in it … 🤔 and the food is very hit or miss. We really disliked the burgers and fries. The hibachi was definitely underwhelming. We really loved the French restaurant. The Dominican food at the buffet was also good. But otherwise the food tended to be pretty bland. The desserts were pretty much all a miss.

This is our second visit to Excellence Punta Cana and we absolutely love it. The facility is beautiful but its the staff that makes it so special. We always spend our days by the main pool and we have loved the special attention and care given to us by our server - Luis Alberto! Luis has the warmest smile and is just wonderful at taking care of his guests. We will be returning next year. It is the ONLY all-inclusive we have ever visited more than once. Thanks Luis for making our days so special.

We are wrapping up our honeymoon here and all I have to say is WOW! What an amazing and beautiful place. Every single staff member was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. From the entertainment, to the food, to the gorgeous beaches. All of it was so perfect. We are already planning our next trip here. I need to give a special shout out to Einstein. In the morning, he waits at the Kitchen Table, and for dinner you can find him at Oregano. When I say I have never had service like he provides, I mean it. He would bring out special meals on top of what we ordered and he knew on our last day we were going to the Kitchen Table for breakfast and he set up a nice little reserved section for us. Enjoyed our time here for our honeymoon! We had a 10 day stay and felt like it was the perfect amount of time. The food was incredible, the views 1 of a kind, and activities/shows were great. There were a few concerns though. We had a honeymoon breakfast in bed but were met with a salesman. He wouldn't leave while we were trying to enjoy a romantic breakfast. He insisted we buy his coffee beans and we had no interest in buying it, especially while in our robes at 9:30am. He included the details of his 3 daughters who were in need of food and clothing etc and that our purchase would help him provide for his family. We tipped him and that is how we got him to leave. The other concern was the lack of food/getting the correct food that we ordered. There wasn't a time where we ordered room service and they got our order correct. Forgetting full meals, no silverware for pastas, no condiments (even after special requesting dipping sauce), and being out of half their menu even when calling at a decent hour. Overall, I would definitely do an all inclusive again, even this one, but not a perfect experience.

We honeymooned for a week at Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana and couldn’t be happier with our decision. The resort was beautiful and the service was excellent. We had a Club Oceanfront Junior Suite which had a fantastic uninterrupted view of the beach and ocean. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Some food was better than others, but overall we were impressed with the quality of food, especially at the steakhouse. We loved our morning at the spa and would definitely recommend either the romantic beach dinner and/or the Blind Butcher. We loved our time at this resort and would definitely visit again!

Lovely place, great experience for a honeymoon/baby-moon. The staff is so caring. Here are things that stood out to us: - Warm welcome with welcome drinks - They checked us in early (before 4pm) - No restaurant reservations needed (so you feel so much more relaxed) - The hotel isn’t packed, there’s always room on the pool and beach (no need to run to get towels and a spot) - Rooms smell very good when you arrive, great touch. - Two room service clean ups, one in the morning and one while you’re out at supper. - They refill snacks in the room (pringles and M&Ms) - Juan Paul and Mildred at Waves restaurant were both very kind - Manuel from the entertainment team was a real pleasure to know! - Get your eggs done by Bernardo in the morning, he’s so good! - The buffet was the cleanest buffet we’ve seen, because you don’t serve yourself, the staff serves you - Not many lines in general. We did however find the kids side much busier than the adult side - The facility is a great size, you won’t get lost and the beach was close to the pool. We are giving four stars as we felt the experience was amazing and the food was great (but not phenomenal for the price paid).

You will be thanking yourself if you choose this resort over other options in Punta Cana. It is a spectacular property on a beautiful stretch of beach and they offer a lot of water sports. The fitness center is huge—one of the largest I have ever seen at a property--with multiple rooms and has every piece of equipment you would need for a good workout. The rooms are very spacious with comfortable beds and each is positioned to get a view of the ocean and property. Each night has quite a few activities such as painting, a fire show, a DJ, karaoke, bubbly tasting, etc. The food is outstanding. There are the usual items in addition to incredible healthy items at each meal and the chefs are authentic, e.g., Journeys, which is Indian, has a chef hired from India who insists only on spices from India. The staff are wonderfully friendly and always have a smile. I didn’t go to the water park, but I highly recommend a spa treatment. The treatment includes spending time in a Himalayan salt room, hot tub, mineral pool and / or sauna prior to whatever treatment you’ve chosen with staff escorting you from space to space. The property also has a very cool concept restaurant that you enter like a speakeasy and has a very unexpected rain forest motif. There is a show that goes on throughout your meal and it is the latest hot spot in the DR. Definitely worth checking out!

Overall our visit was a mix of good and not so good. What was good was very good but the not so good unfortunately tainted our experience. The resort is beautiful, the food is good and the general staff is very friendly. The management team is rude and non responsive. The resort has several smoking areas in busy common areas which is very disappointing. We experienced several instances that were unfortunate when spending this type of money for a premium resort. We were hoping to find a favorite vacation spot but this is not it.

I just stayed here for my best friends wedding and had an amazing time! I loved having an adult only side of the resort. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, and have an incredible memory for remembering certain items I would order on a daily basis. A special shout out to Paula and Julio that helped coordinate and assisted with the banquet during the wedding. Paula did a phenomenal job keeping everything running smoothly. My wife even assisted with the day of coordination and worked with Paula to keep everything on schedule when our group is notoriously late. Julio even made sure my wife and I went back our room to relax with a bottle of bubbles to wind down the night. Hands down, one of the best resorts I've had the pleasure of staying in.
