Only gave a four star for the service because the people at the coffee bar in the main lobby as well as the activities directors were not very helpful at all. All other staff were amazing. From the front desk at check-in to the Butler Carlos, Maid Service Nancy, Pool Concierge, Bar staff, Wait Staff, Bike tour gentleman (Nathaniel?) and anyone else who worked on the property. Extremely friendly, and always willing to lend a hand. Did not have a bad experience with the food, all the restaurants were extraordinary. All four people in our party enjoyed every meal. If there is one critique for this property it would be that the dress code for the restaurants were not upheld. Guests wore shorts, t-shirts and tank tops into the "formal" restaurants that require pants and collard shirts. If a standard is written, everyone should be required to dress appropriately for the dining experience. Because of the openness of the property, the amazing staff and quality of the food, this is definitely a location we will visit again in the future.

My partner and I had a truly fantastic anniversary vacation this week. We stayed in the castle suites, and our butler, Kelvin, was incredibly responsive and helpful. The entire property exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect, and there wasn’t a single bad view to be found. Relaxing by the ocean was delightful, and every meal we enjoyed was wonderful. I am vegan and really appreciated the variety of options available. We had a great time with the entertainment staff and thoroughly enjoyed all their offerings.
Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly, and the hospitality was second to none.

Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price
I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, it fell short of expectations in nearly every area. From the moment we arrived, the experience was frustrating. There was a serious lack of orientation—no maps, no clear directions on where to find services, what was open, or even how to navigate the hotel. We spent much of our stay feeling like we were wandering aimlessly, constantly guessing where to go for meals, amenities, or even basic needs.
As for the resort itself, the beach is tiny, and the water is far from the clear, tropical paradise you'd expect. If you're a beach lover, this is definitely not the place for you. The pools are nice enough, but getting a lounger can be a challenge. Pro tip: Find "Happy Boy" by the pool, tip him, and he’ll help secure a spot for you.
Meal experiences were equally frustrating. One night, the buffet was closed without any prior notice, which left us scrambling for alternatives. Additionally, we were told that we could not make dinner reservations in advance and, when we tried to book the day-of, we were informed nothing was available, forcing us to figure out last-minute dining options.
Another major downside was the constant, overpowering incense smell throughout the hotel, including in the restaurant. The fragrance was so strong that it became nauseating, and we had to leave the dining area early because it was unbearable.
As a Bonvoy Elite member, I was expecting some extra perks, but I was sorely disappointed. There was no room upgrade, no special services, and not even the usual late check-out option. It felt like my loyalty status meant absolutely nothing, which added to the overall disappointment.
The room itself was also problematic. The water had a terrible odor, making it clear that something was wrong with the plumbing. The bathroom tiles had sharp edges, posing a risk for injury, and there was visible mold in the room. This was not only unappealing but also concerning for our health. To make matters worse, the air conditioning didn’t work properly, and the room stayed uncomfortably warm throughout our stay.
Given all of these issues—poor orientation, lack of communication, unpleasant odors, maintenance problems, and no recognition for loyalty members—this hotel was simply not worth the price. For what we paid, we expected far better quality and service. I would not recommend staying here, and I certainly won’t be returning.

This resort is beautiful and hard to leave! Every part of the property feels thoughtfully designed and well-maintained. The food was consistently good, though not particularly memorable—except for the sushi restaurant, which we loved so much we visited nearly every day. The beach did have a lot of seaweed, as expected from our research, making it less appealing for swimming. However, the resort’s large, clean pools more than made up for it.
In August 2024, my wife and I stayed in the Castle for our honeymoon. Upon arrival, something seemed off with how the front desk staff handled our check-in. We were eventually taken to a room that appeared partially under construction—several lights and the sink didn’t work. Comparing it to the photos of the room we booked, it was clear this wasn’t the same. It seemed our original room might have been given away due to our late arrival. While this initial experience was disappointing, the front desk assured us it would be resolved the next day. True to their word, we were moved to the correct room, which matched our expectations perfectly.
From that point on, everything was exactly what we hoped. Our private concierge, Eric, was exceptional, handling all our requests efficiently and with care. He managed our reservations, room service, golf cart transportation, and even arranged a special dinner on the beach for us.
Although the check-in process and first night weren’t ideal, the rest of our stay more than made up for it, giving us the relaxing honeymoon we had hoped for.

Everything about this resort was wonderful! From the Royalty Villa to the buffet breakfast we could not find one negatuve thing to say.
The food was amazing and our villa was breathtaking. We never left the room except to eat because the private pool and deck were all we needed
