Absolutely gorgeous location and views from this hotel, beds were comfy. Service was sometimes middling for a property with low occupancy, but everyone was very tolerant of our loud kids in the party. There weren't too many restaurants for a hotel this size (3 I think), but the most pleasant surprise was the Indian food. We had a vegetarian in our group, and Chef Mahesh came out personally every meal to customize what we needed. Every Indian dish was authentic and well done. Worked for the kids, Indians, Japanese and Singaporeans in our group!

Beautiful place, tiered architecture on the hillside. Super friendly staff. Great for dinner or drinks even if you're not staying here. Staff became lifelong friends and the Dutch intern pair Estelle and Thijn were the best hosts.

This truly doesn’t match to Westin or premium Marriott property standards. Especially the check in experience and process is pathetic. Even being an Elite member you might need to wait for 2-3 hours to get your room. The communication between front desk and housekeeping is equally pathetic. Lot of improvement need. Overall the property is well located and provides a nice view of the sea and has private access to the beach. So depending on how well self organised you are, you will either enjoy or struggle a bit.

Very beautiful resort, big serene private beach, multiple themed pools, absolutely stunning view of the sea, ocean cliffs and sky. Nice restaurant and cafe. Comfy relaxing rooms. Ocean facing balcony room was good. Chef Mahesh Rawat provided superb food and hospitality with a kind and happy gesture. Hotel requires more Indian and Vegetarian options in food and some lower level staff need to have an accepting and welcoming nature towards Indians. All was good and our experience was very positive and comforting. I went on honeymoon for 3 nights at Langkawi. Include local sightseeing from hotel itself while fixing your trip apart from room and half board plan. The spa is very expensive.

The location is very beautiful. The staff I met were excellent and I felt were striving to provide the best service. The breakfast selection was one of the best I have seen. I ate in the restaurant two evenings and used the poolside bar. Service was great. The room was clean (inside, balcony another matter) but a little tired. I could see renovation work in progress in another part of the hotel so I may have been unlucky with the allocation. The lack of a gym was surprising but I was on a short stay so not personally an inconvenience. Some will probably disagree but I was not a fan of the local monkey population visiting the balcony in the morning and leaving their mess on the handrail. Perhaps a word of warning to guests at least, and perhaps discourage other guests from giving them food which no doubt attracts them. What I really didn't like was the "offer" to pre-purchase spending in hotel to get a net discount by way of a top-up from Marriott. While I understand the business objective of increasing take up of services in house (which were pretty quiet considering the breakfast time rush); I found the conditions to be coercive. 1) Had to buy in on the day of check-in. 2) No top-ups, which I thought counterintuitive, unless the object is to achieve revenue through... 3) No refunds, all unspent monies are forfeit. So I was being asked to gamble 20% discount versus losing my stake money, if I overestimated. To add further annoyance on check out I found that any tips I had made were not covered by the advance payment and were added to the outstanding bill for room tax etc. I felt like I was being squeezed for literally the last penny. Very off putting of the product as a whole and as a result I cannot whole heartedly recommend Westin.

Had a lovely 4 days stay at this resort. View was nice. Fantastic sunset Dinner at the Thai restaurant. Staff was friendly. Trial walk was cool. Room was nice. Only setback need to walk up some distance to the room or taking a buggy car. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

The location is very good the property is also huge but its very old and requires a lot of repairs. I stayed here for 3 days and one day for 12 hours there was no light and the hotel staff was very unapologetic for that. I did not even like the in room service and house keeping experience. Whatever you ask for takes atleast 15-20 minutes. The beaches were excellent and the restaurants were very good and the breakfast buffet was also very wholesome. The entire experience was bitter sweet because of their service l. I think for the price point it wasn’t worth the money. They need to learn the true spirit of hospitality.

If you’re fond of forest stay , which is a bit different from your regular stay at a 4 or a 5 star property , then this is the place for you . Located 20 minutes from Langkawi Airport, the property is huge which over more than 5 restaurants and other services . They also arrange sports and other activities . Need to inform them one day prior for that. We had booked a sea view chalet which had a great view though along with complimentary mini bar and free evening snacks. Overall, a nice stay.

Staff are very attentive and warm. They did their best to accommodate special requests. They've managed to keep away flies from open buffets in an alfresco setting. Lawns are well kept. Buggy available on demand to chalet units round the clock. Serenity, tranquil and chill.

One of the best resorts I’ve been to. It is different and pretty cool. Having a chalet in the middle of the woods adds up to your vacation to Malaysia. It’s really beautiful and lovely and we really enjoyed ourselves here. It’s also close to the Langkawi sky bridge cable station. The hotel also can arrange some activities for you such as the geopark and eagle watching cruise. I think you can get the same cruise with better offer though.

We were impressed with the hotel staff, all were friendly and smiling. Hafiz served us and he gave us a confident look and commented that we will love the room. Since it’s my hubby’s birthday, he told us, they upgraded the room with compliments. Oh my! It was a huge Ocean view suite with 2 Large beds for 5 of us. Super spacious indoor and outdoor with our private garden and balcony. We love the room a great deal. Snack bars are packed for our stay. Breakfasts was an enjoyment to look forward to. Facilities are amazing for kids. Pools are extremely fun for my kids. We had our dinner there at Cassia restaurant and the whole team came out to sing a birthday song for my hubby including the live band by the ocean view restaurant. We had 2 complimentary cocktails to sum the experience and Kelvin, the F&B Head personally made the cocktails for us. We had a great time at Park Royal and we will definitely return! Highly recommended!!

We loved our stay here! ParkRoyal has thought of everything. The pool area is well maintained and well designed to ensure everyone is catered to. The room was nice clean and modern with an amazing view. The pool area upstairs was lovely for quiet relaxation. The food at the restaurant was great and breakfast buffet was very good. The stay here are very polite and professional, they were all really helpful and friendly during our stay. We can’t wait to come here again and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Langkawi.

Informed last minute to prepare to surprise my hubby 🎂 . They did that even though, not as big. The best part is the swimming 🏊‍♀️ pool and child friendly. Breakfast definitely, I will give 5 stars. From 7-10.30am. Overall, over the expectations from the front desk to room. I will go there again. 😅

Amazing property, highly recommended for families. Thank you Mr. Aziman for making the kids feel so welcome every day. We love the easy access to the airport and beach town. The deluxe ocean view room with the giant tub was a hit with the kids. And the suite was the best hotel stay we have ever had. We can't wait to be back!

We definitely recommend this hotel for Langkawi. The value for money is definitely worth it. It is an old hotel but renovated. It is really clean, the staff is so nice and kind. The rooms are luxury and have a lot of space, a king sized bed also. It is very very clean, the whole resort and the private beach of the resort is defiantly worth it. It is quiet and very romantic place. It is close to the airport, some of the food markets and other attractions, so the location is also really convenient.

A Timeless Gem This resort has stood the test of time, remaining beautiful for over two decades. It's clear that meticulous care has been taken to maintain and upgrade the facilities, making it appealing to a wide range of guests. The chalet rooms are clean and comfortable, and the resort boasts two swimming pools, including a large one perfect for swimming laps. The delicious breakfast served by the beach and pool offers stunning views. Located along the pristine Cenang Beach, the resort provides exclusive beachfront access and a tranquil atmosphere. I only wish I could have stayed longer to fully enjoy this wonderful place. I'll definitely be back!

This is by far the best beach resort I've visited. The staffs were incredibly friendly, greeting every guest with smiles and warm welcomes. The resort is spotless and very well-maintained, which made my stay even more enjoyable. It's a level of service and quality that far surpasses other 5-star chain resorts I've stayed at.

Let’s start with the positives. Pelangi is a gorgeous resort that has been refurbished and renovated beautifully to stay current with the times. We loved our island view chalet, which was spacious and tastefully-appointed. The rest of the resort has also been refreshed - the poolside, lobby, restaurants, all now ooze understated class and luxury, which we loved. Great job! Unfortunately, our stay was marred by an incident involving poor service. Traveling with 2 young children, including a 10-month old baby, I had explicitly requested for a baby cot when we had booked the room several months ago. I even called the resort a few days prior to arrival to check if they had noted my request and to get confirmation that they would assign a baby cot for my room. Shockingly, upon check-in, there was no baby cot in the room and when we checked, we were told that they had no more baby cots! Requests for clarity as to how and when they would be able to resolve the issue were only met with frustrating non-responses. For the record and to be fair to the Pelangi team, they somehow managed to source a baby cot and had it delivered to the room to a crying baby (who was tired and cranky) and very grateful mum and dad. Apart from this, I must say that the breakfast spread was pretty average for a 5-star establishment. Pretty restaurants but offerings were probably of 3-star standard.

A great hotel to be sure. Excellent pool. The highlight I think are the staff so friendly, genuinely friendly. Always ready to help. Nice bar for early evening cocktails and an easy listening band or singer. Rooms are very quiet and beds comfortable. We slept in every morning. The onsite Italian restaurant is also excellent. Well worth a visit one evening. Good mine selection. Some out of the ordinary excellent vintages.

Congratulations to the management and staff of this hotel. The hotel is definitely right up there amongst the best hotels in Malaysia. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the surrounding areas. The overall service is superb and made you feel comfortable without being intrusive. No matter where you are throughout the hotel, the service level and friendliness is very evident which really shows that the staff are well trained and probably well taken care of by the management. The hotel has amazing views of the sea which gives you a very calm and peaceful stay there. It is also not crowded and you can really relax and enjoy all the restaurants and facilities without being rushed. Will definitely come back whenever we are back in Langkawi.

Excellent stay for 4 nights.we stayed at grand merchant 2 bedroom. It was immaculate and good size for 2 families with one toddler. Housekeeping was great, room service was timely. Food was good throughout and Chef Pari ensured we were heard and constantly checked on us during breakfast. The staff were all friendly. The property is very clean and well maintained. Overall excellent. We will return .

Pleasant stay and good experience. Sea view rooms had great view, comfortable and well-maintained. Hotel design was classic colonial style, beautiful and quaint. Well thought layout, with many areas to hang out, and we enjoyed every corner of it, especially the lounge. Location is near the cable car & skybridge, but well secluded and away from crowds. And has its private beach, seaside and bay. We stayed for family event, and the staffs were friendly with excellent service, made us felt like home. We had a wonderful time with family and friends, thanks to the team at The Danna. Will recommend the hotel to couples or families looking for a romantic getaway or quiet time together.

We had a wonderful stay at the St. Regis Langkawi. Nothing to complain about. 1. The Resort: a beautiful get-away in the nature. With lots of space, a beautiful beach, a huge gym, a very relaxed SPA, nice dining spots and bars 2. The Staff (incl. the Butler Service): very courteous and accommodating. Starting from the staff at the restaurant, to the beach and the reception: they always were proactively supporting and most importantly were always open for a chat and very interested! 3. The Room: spacious, very clean, great amenities, huge bed,… the room service was also VERY attentive and spotless, nothing to complain about. 4. The Food: always a great selection of freshly prepared food at one of the three restaurants. Extra wishes were no problem and additional surprises from the chef were normal. 5. The rest: we always got attentions delivered to our room or provided elsewhere: fresh chocolate, fruits, cheese and bread, some macarons, a goodbye cake,… it’s just nice to feel valued and get little surprises everyday :) For us - it was a very special stay. Thank you!

I had a very disappointing experience that I feel compelled to share to warn other travelers. I booked a room for three people, and while checking the rates for two versus three guests, I noticed that the price increased by 2000 MR when selecting three guests. I assumed this meant the booking was confirmed for three. However, upon arrival, the receptionist informed us that our booking was for two people only. I showed him my reservation, which clearly stated that it was for three. He continued to argue that while the room could accommodate three guests, it didn’t include an extra bed, which I found incredibly frustrating. Typically, when booking for three, an extra bed is provided. Despite my insistence that this was not an extra person, they insisted we would have to pay for the breakfast of the third guest, which was supposed to be included. After some back and forth, they agreed to provide us with an extra bed if we paid for the breakfast. When we finally got to our room, we were shocked to find it was too small and only had twin beds. I asked how they intended to fit an extra bed in the room, and they told me it wouldn’t be possible since we needed to book a larger room. I was at my wit's end and suggested merging the twin beds, but they refused and insisted we pay for an additional bed. To sum up my experience: I booked a room for three people, but upon arrival, I faced unexpected charges for breakfast and the extra bed, despite being told that my room was suitable for three without clarification in the booking details. I strongly advise potential guests to clarify these policies before booking, as this hotel’s practices feel misleading and unprofessional.

An unforgettable experience staying at the St Regis Langkawi. The customer service provided was outstanding and the attention to detail was immaculate. All staff were really attentive and polite. Views were breathtaking from our sea view suite and really made good use of the butler service provided. The food at the pentai grill was really nice and the views and vibes by the restaurant on the pier was spot on. Loved the idea of being able to order 3 free coffee’s/tea’s to our room daily which we made good use of. Big thank you to Mr Shah and his butler team. Absolutely stunning resort. An architectural gem designed by a master architect in a pristine setting where ancient rainforest meets the tranquil Datai Bay. Service was exceptional, and the breakfast was something to look forward to everyday. We took our two children (11&8) who loved the pool, food options for kids, and encounters with frogs/monkeys/exotic birds/butterflies and so on.

We stayed here twice, and it is officially become one of our favourite hotel in Malaysia, probably the world too! A piece of paradise. The beach is awarded as one of the top 10 best beaches in the world, and the hotel is built within the 10 million years old rainforest, in harmony with the natural surrounding, is something that always drawn us to. Constantly great hospitality, warm and genuine, and the hotel breakfast is something worth mentioning too, delicious with great luxe selection! We are planning to make this special place our annual birthday getaway. Can’t wait to go back soon!

My husband and I stayed at the Datai as part of our honeymoon and we couldn’t have asked for a better visit. The service is exceptional, along the best I’ve experienced anywhere in the world. A special shout out to our butler Asyraf who was absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much for him, he was so organised and made our visit so easy and stress free. His service felt truly natural and not at all forced, his calm personality really shone through and we got on with him really well, I would definitely ask to have him as our butler again if we visit again. All the staff we were served by were lovely, they all spoke very good English, were very polite, helpful and represented the hotel perfectly. The accommodation we had was beautiful. We stayed in a beach villa and I’d highly recommend booking this. The location was private and secluded, we experienced the joys of the rainforest as well as the beach. The villa is massive with a lovely big living space to enjoy. The perks you get being in a beach villa also make it worth while, such as the mini bar, afternoon tea, butler, snacks etc. Although you are quite far from the main building, it’s a lovely walk along the beach and through the butterfly walk, or you can arrange a buggy with the butler which was always with us within minutes. The food: Breakfast was amazing, you could stay for two weeks + and still try something new each day! We had breakfast in our room which was always great, but the buffet is the best as there is so much choice as well as an al la carte offering. Afternoon tea served in our room daily was lovely and just the right amount to keep us going until dinner. We were lucky enough to have the chef series whilst we stayed so we experienced an amazing tasting menu which is a meal to remember! Our favourite meal was at the Gulai House, the beef randang was out of this world! We were slightly less impressed with the Beach House menu and food, it seemed quite plain and simple, I personally preferred it for breakfast or lunch over dinner. The Thai was good, especially the Tom Yam Soup, but the main courses didn’t blow us away. The spa was excellent, the treatment was fantastic and the setting is incredible and so calming. Well equipped gym for its small size and staff were once again lovely in there. Water sports were good with a fair bit on offer! The general setting of the hotel is so beautiful, the nature is like nothing I’ve experienced before. We were lucky enough to have a family of Dusky Leaf monkeys visit our villa a few times, and we saw the illusive flying lemur just outside our villa! I would definitely recommend the guided walks with the nature experts as they are so knowledgeable and interesting. Overall we had the best time and completely fell in love with the hotel, we will be back!

Just finished first time at FS Langkawi, first time on Langkawi. Our experience was fabulous. Typical FS in every way and I mean that with the highest of praise. I am amazed at any negative reviews TBH. Our room, 402, was exactly what we were looking for. The rooms are huge and very well appointed. No need for updating our particular room. Beach is wide, beautiful and you feel like you are the only one there. Check in was seamless and staff helped with our luggage as we went to Rhu Bar for a late bite after arriving via rental car at about 2100. Ate at Havu, IkanIkan and Seria. The included breakfast had everything you could hope for. All meals were awesome. Views from our dinner table were stunning. We were treated like royalty and have never had more welcoming hospitality at all turns. They gave us a late check out that was free, so that was a nice touch as well. If you want the beach on Langkawi, you cannot go wrong with FS.

Our brief stay at the Four Seasons Resort Langkawi was simply fantastic and exceeded our expectations. We had a gorgeous and generous room with a gigantic bathtub, the beach and its views are magnificent and the resort is lovely to just wonder around, see monkeys and exotic birds roaming freely, or exploring the wildlife preservation center, the water sports activity etc etc The best thing about our stay was the always kind and super attentive staff that added so many lil thoughtful details that made our stay so special.

So we went to attend a wedding in KL and decided to visit langkawi . When we looked at the hotels there were many choices but four seasons resort was really looking promising and what I wanted . And I could not have e made a better choice it was absolutely amazing from the moment we put our foot in the hotel we were aww struck. The hotel itself is so mesmerising and then on top of that there service and the views hands down the best I have experienced in the whole world . I must say I do not get impressed easily but this whole experience was so special and one that I will cherish the rest of my life .

All in all disappointed, because renovation was needed already long time ago. And if we consider price and brand, I cannot believe, that they consider this level of condition appropriate to run it. Staff is very friendly, but service is very slow. Room service needs up to one hour even in the middle of the day. And there is only one option for lunch in the resort. Anyway beautiful place with a lot of peace.

I know, some people would say the prices are too high for Malaysia. But considering to be in a great 5 star resort and gettinf an outstanding treatment, the prices are really good. I had a 90min traditional Malay massage and I enjoyed every second of it. My therapist Shen did an outstanding job. I can recommend this spa without any doubt.

Absolutely fantastic place. When you're spend a holiday at close hotels you need to visit the SPA. Incredible massage for one or for couples. Highly recommended are other SPA treatments. Staff is extreme kind and helpfull. All treatments are performed in marvelous rain forest environment.

I disappointed with my stay. The room was not clean upon arrival, with dust on surfaces and stains on the bedding. Additionally, the air conditioning unit was not functioning, making the room uncomfortably warm. I reported these issues to the front desk, but no action was taken during my stay. I would recommend the hotel focus on better housekeeping and timely maintenance to improve guest satisfaction.

We had an absolute wonderful 1 week stay at the Ritz-Carlton in Langkawi! The Resort is nicely located within the nature and lets you instantly relax. We had the pleasure of many monkey family’s taking a visit on our balcony. The rooms/ villas are very spacious and the quality is top-notch. Daily service and small little messages/ treats were great aswell! The beach/ pools and bars are the perfect place to relax. Overall the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay remarkable - chapeau! We will definitely come back! 1 small rooms for improvement: - it took 3 weeks and one reminder to receive the refund from the deposit. I expect a better service for a 5* Hotel

Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi was fantastic with 4 nights. The service was outstanding, and the resort's stunning views of lush forests meeting the beautiful beach provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation. The luxurious accommodations and diverse dining options exceeded our expectations. One downside was the cold swimming pool; a water heater would enhance the experience. We stayed at the Grand Ocean Villa for a week, and while the villa itself was beautiful with stunning views, the overall experience fell far short of expectations. 🛖Couple of times the air conditioning didn’t work properly, the blinds were faulty, and on our first evening, I suffered burns from scalding hot water in the sink—completely unacceptable. 🧹Housekeeping did make lovely efforts with bubble baths and decorations, but we constantly had to request morning cleaning, which should have been managed proactively. 🗣️The biggest frustration was the staff’s lack of communication skills. English was a major challenge, and our orders—especially at breakfast—were repeatedly wrong, leading to unnecessary food waste. Same with every single meal we ordered for the villa. 🌮⚠️🚨Food safety was a serious problem. After eating tuna one night, we suffered from histamine poisoning, losing an entire day. On the last day, I had severe food poisoning and was confined to the villa all day, ruining the end of our stay. The compensation offered? A mere $90 in points - for losing two days of our vacation. I’d expect a more generous compensation. 💔 🎣We also booked a fishing trip through our butler for approximately €500, which turned out to be a joke. The guide didn’t speak English or offer any assistance, making it feel like a scam. It was also confusing on who we were talking with on WhatsApp. We thought it was with the butler we met on arrival. But it seemed like we spoke to 20 different people, which made it very impersonal and confusing. While there were highlights, such as housekeeping’s thoughtful touches, the poor communication, food safety issues, and inadequate compensation made this a deeply disappointing experience. For a resort of this level, we expected much better. Not worth the price.
