If you’re looking for a 5 star stay — this is not it! This place is looking tired, from the building itself to the stained sheets and worn towels. Our deluxe king room felt like it was from a budget chain hotel, and that’s okay if it didn’t try to mask itself as a 5 star resort. Our light switches didn’t work, soundproofing was lacking, a weird raised bed on a platform that was difficult to get on. The breakfast was also average and again not reflective of a 5 star. The only positive was the staff, who were lovely and helpful.
Perhaps the experience is better if you had a suite or pool suite. In my opinion, save your money, go elsewhere, and enjoy a true 5 star experience.

I recently stayed at this hotel, expecting a five-star experience based on its advertised rating. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet those expectations. The family room felt quite small, and some areas of the hotel appeared to be in need of maintenance.
The outdoor sunbeds showed signs of wear, and I found them uncomfortable to use. The breakfast selection did not suit my preferences, so I chose to eat at local restaurants instead. Additionally, the ironing board and iron provided had visible signs of use, which made it difficult to press my clothes properly.
For the price of greater than a grand for three nights, I personally did not feel that the stay offered good value. While the facilities did not meet my expectations, I appreciate the efforts of the staff, who were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

I've given this a 4 star review but this is solely on the fact I don't think it's a 5 star hotel. The rooms are great, service is exceptional, location is breathtaking and we were really happy with the hotel. However, for 5 star I expect a couple more things. For example, the gym / fitness room is poor [tiny box room with limited equipment]. The breakfast bar was limited for 5*. Also not an official concierge service though the staff do help. I'd just expect a bit more for 5 star. Though our stay was amazing and loved every bit of it.
Also you can get a scooter at the hotel for 300 Baht a day which was awesome. No need to show passport or anything. Just tell them your room number and they hand you over the keys which was convenient.

Nice hotel with charming rooms and an class and quiet swimming pool for the luxury rooms.
However, this is not at a walking distance from the beach/ao nang so you’d need the shuttle which is only every hour vs. on demand.
The quality of the breakfast is great, while the number of options is still limited.
The rooftop is simply amazing for the sunset!!

Because of the wonderful team working there, I marked a 4. Otherwise it would be less. I agree with the other people saying this is absolutely not a 5* hotel.
The Pros: the lovely team (from reception, bar, breakfast, to the shuttle drivers), the location (out of the madness of Ao Nang Town, practically in the jungle), some little gem restaurants round the corner (try Tee In The Jungle first), decent breakfast (again, not 5* standard) and the rooftop views.
The Cons: the small rooms, paper thin walls, poor quality toiletries, bath tub in room wasting good space and upkeep of place in general.
We didn't really spend much time at the pool (busy beaching and island hopping) but it's a good size in fairness with a bar area in the pool and the spa seemed decent.
Some basic improvements could make this place brilliant. Appreciated the hospitality nonetheless and we had a great 4 days in the area.
