Where do I start? I expected so much more hospitality from a hotel like this. My aunt gifted a stay here as a honeymoon and I thought the least we could be offered with is a room upgrade since we arrived earlier from the UK. Or, alternatively lunch as we were there for 4 nights but were informed half board could only do breakfast but not lunch and dinner (we arrived at 2pm) so missed breakfast.
Every morning and evening, we had to wait about 30 mins for a waiter to arrive to take drinks or breakfast orders. Why was this? I specifically saw waiters make eye contact but then move away.
I will need to be returning in September for business and I hope my concerns will be addressed by this point.
Update- interestingly I notice a trend with south Asian sounding names and receiving poor service. Is this something you can explain?

Everything was beyond expectations!
Starting from checking in, the receptionist Mr Mustafa was very nice, friendly and helpful. The check in process did not take more than few minutes.
The room we stayed was specious and nicely designed, although room amenities were upon request, which i find unusual and inconvenient.
The way from hotel to the pool and beach is a bit far. The landscape was average and lack proper maintenance. The pool area looks a bit poor and not treated/ designed well.
Hotel location is great.
Generally the hotel is good and recommend

What an exceptional stay! The food, cleanliness of the rooms, the location… and the list goes on. I haven’t had a great 5-star hotel experience like this in a long time, as most 5-stars nowadays seem more like 4-stars. This will always be my go-to hotel in Dubai. Please keep it up!

I am a bit disappointed as I paid a lot of money to stay in a room with a nice view, I was expecting a view similar to the third and forth photo were I took them from the pool area. Rooms are very small, we had a baby and it was so small for us, you can’t even bring the stroller inside easily. Location wise, it’s at the entrance of the palm and if you want to go out for walking with a baby stroller, you just have to use the car road to exist and the pavement is so slippery because of the marble so be careful. The breakfast is big and nice but they don’t do proper filter coffee which disappointing. Staff are nice and welcoming but sometimes you see more staff than guests which makes it a bit uncomfortable as lobby is always busy and crowded, it’s a very small lobby as well. So is it worth it, no. It’s too expensive and you don’t get the same value of the money you pay.

I will start from my first day and see how my experience will be on check out day. I paid for sea view but I got more like a parking view, the operator said that’s because we are not a first line hotel, that should be clear before booking, and I didn’t know you have options with balconies and without, suggesting to pay more and take one with balcony. Service is very slow I am now writing and asked for a dental kit since almost 30mnts but nothing came so far after 2 calls. Let’s see how the coming 2 days will be. Oh and we wanted to take a nap after a long flight but woke up like crazy on a fire alarm we rushed out but no one was there but us.
My second day update :
Service is slow , they clean the room and see there is no tissue and dental kits are empty but they never replaces it unless we call. Anyways they always reply with that we are fully busy so losing one guest doesn’t really matter. I guess they are the worse in service across Palm hotels.
