We had a week stay at Avani, unfortunately most it was days filled with rain so this may have a negative impact on my review. The 2 bed beachfront villa was lovely and suited our family. It's very spacious and very relaxing. The restaurant was a bit slow with bringing out meals but we enjoyed our meals nevertheless. The staff are lovely, were very kind and interacted with my daughter which was enjoyable to see. However this is a small hotel in a very rural area so if it's raining there really isn't anything to do and you do need a taxi to go anywhere else. I would also say that the beach is not nice at all. It's a small port for the local community so there's a lot of boat pollution and in the morning they all run their engines. You can not sit on the beach and enjoy the views. You need to walk further along the beach to be able to swim without being in polluted water. so we couldn't really take our daughter in. Perhaps when the weather is better they might move on but it was very unpleasant and because of that I think the price point is far too high. If they were able to improve this then I really think it would be such a enjoyable relaxing stay.

Disappointed by a “Lucky Draw” Experience at Our New Year Eve Countdown dinner Our group of four—two couples—traveled all the way from Malaysia, excited to welcome the New Year at a highly anticipated countdown event hosted by our hotel To our delight, we were lucky enough to win two 30% F&B vouchers during the event. However, things quickly took a disappointing turn The vouchers stated they were valid until 1st January 2025, with a blackout period from Christmas to New Year’s. But when we tried to use them, we were informed that it was a “typing error” and that the hotel wouldn’t honor the vouchers For a 5-star hotel, this response was not only disappointing—it felt dismissive. Mistakes happen, but it’s the recovery and service that define an exceptional guest experience In the end, what was meant to be a sweet and memorable moment felt like receiving nothing more than a blank piece of paper We expected better generosity and accountability, especially from an establishment of this caliber

Everything was really nice. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. We had a really lovely stay here. The food is also great. The whole hotel complex is beautiful. The beach is also nice and you can rent kayaks and standup paddles for free.

Had a pleasant stay here. The staff were very accomodating and friendly. Nice boutique style resort. Facilities including pool and restaurant were nice also. Restaurant in particular was a standout for its cleanliness and level of service. Breakfast buffet simple but nice. Overall a good experience. Felt like a home away from home and the people definitely make the difference here. Obviously far from the islands main attractions but felt like a private island for us. Shout out to Nana, King, Mod and Mui for the great service!

We had a perfect stay here. The room was great, spacious and clean. The staff team is amazing with a brilliant service. The beach is very private, quiet and romantic. It is a great place to bring a family here.
