Amazing hotel we've visited many times, it's like coming home. The welcome from the staff is wonderful, the food delicious and service is great. We always book the spa for first and last day to help us recover and prepare for the long flight, so lovely I always book an extra visit 😊 We always stay in the Garden Village so we were thrilled to hear of the new pool. For me the bonus is it's right outside our room do we're spending a lot of time in the new pool. The hotel is for couples and families of all ages and we highly recommend the Amari to all

The rooms, property and location were all beautiful and set an amazing backdrop for our trip to Koh Samui. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Lounge chairs and umbrellas were easy to secure at both the beach and the pool. The hotel is also in close walking distance to other walk up beach bars, or the main drag of bars and restaurants when you want a night out on the town. While the food was always fresh and tasty, I wouldn’t necessary see this hotel as a dining destination. Additionally, while this isn’t a knock on the Amari, I did find that the clientele that stay here are often loud Brits and Aussies or rude and pushy people from Eastern Europe with little to no self awareness or concern for their behavior around other guests.

It's an amazing place, yes, but only in the common grounds. At first impressive, it looks good. But once you enter the room, you wonder if the hotel deserves its 5 star rating. First, cleanliness. The toilet bowl is filthy (see photo). And so is the bathtub (see photo). 2nd, the condition of the amenities and furniture in the room. The towels are frayed (see photo), the photo on the walls have watermarks (see photo) and the furniture is in bad condition (see photo). Thirdly, the hotel has a policy of not allowing weed smokers in the hotel but people still smoke in the areas around the pool, the restaurant and the room's balcony and no one bats an eyelid. The stench of the weed is very strong and distinguished so the staffs cannot say they do not know. They know, but choose not to do anything. It seems like the hotel is just happy to let it's guests do whatever they like on the premises as long as they write good reviews. Awarding 5 star status to Amari Koh Samui is an insult to the other hotels like W Hotel, Four Seasons whose properties are also on the island.

We spent 2 weeks at the Amari and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There are 3 pools, 2 of them surrounded by lovely gardens and the third one is by the beach - all of them great to hang out by. We found the location was perfect as it's about a 5 min walk from the main town area of Chaweng Beach so far enough away for the beach to not be too busy but easy walking distance for a wide range of restaurants and shops. The rooms are clean and bright and housekeeping is fantastic. Wifi is very good. Breakfast buffet has a wide selection of food and the view of the beach is great. Overall the staff couldn't do enough to help us. On our first night our neighbours were very loud and sounded like they were having a party and having come from the UK we were very tired. We complained to reception and they sent someone to ask them to be quiet. To avoid this happening the following day we asked to change rooms and this was all done without any hassle and we were kindly offered a late checkout as a goodwill gesture. I think this was a very isolated incident as it's a family focused hotel but I mention it as the way the staff managed it was as good as it could have been and we appreciated their swift intervention. Overall the staff across the hotel really added to the enjoyment of our holiday - thanks to those at the buffet, stopping traffic to allow us to cross the road, housekeeping, maintence and the staff at breakfast.

A lovely hotel, the staff in this hotel are amazing, some of the kindest & best hospitality I have ever received. The bar staff definitely made my hoilday one to remember. Food in hotel is lovely too! The only downside is I wouldn’t say the rooms are a 5 star quality they are basic & nice but could be a lot better for a 5 star hotel and a bit disappointing to see when arrive, it is in a great location though and the beach is lovely just get there early if you’d like a lounger.
