Incredible hotel and lovely location! It was our first time travelling with a toddler but the hotel is very family orientated and had everything we needed. Varied and delicious food, lots of pools and a splash park, which our toddler loved and the entertainment team do a great job with so many activities there’s literally something for everyone. The cleaners were super friendly and the photographers Adriana, Alessio & Elena were amazing! They took such wonderful photos of the three of us together which was so great and didn’t rush taking time capturing the most perfect photos of our son at the splash park. Sad to leave, we’ll definitely return here !

From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome, and the facilities were top-notch—modern, clean, and perfect for a relaxing vacation. The highlight of my trip was the entertainment team, particularly Hanna. She truly stood out with her amazing energy, friendliness, and genuine passion for making sure everyone had a great time. Hanna was incredibly helpful, always offering great advice on activities and things to do around the hotel and Lanzarote. Her dedication and enthusiasm really made my experience unforgettable. If you're looking for a place with great service, fantastic amenities, and exceptional staff like Hanna, I highly recommend the Barcelo Active Hotel. A true 5-star experience!

Amazing place! I enjoyed every bit of the food. The people complaining about the food are the same ones that have beans and toast for breakfast so take what they say with a grain of salt. The room was more than comfortable and the premises were tidy and cleaned daily. It was super easy access to the closet beach and many facilities for activities such as the scuba center and the bicycle rental area.

We chose this resort due to the 50metre pool and the gym facilities. Booked two double rooms with sea view. we arrived at midnight due to our flight being delayed and were so disappointed to be pointed in the direction of some dry sandwiches and warm bottles of soft drinks when we arrived. First impressions count and we came to our room to find it smelling musty and no drinking water in there at all. We came back to reception and they found us some bottles of water but we discovered over the period of our stay that water is not provided in the rooms, and there are about 20 Bottles available to the first people who turn up after 10.30pm to their after hours offering where the dry sandwiches, doughnuts and some soft drinks are also stocked. The fact there is no bottled water available in rooms that were being charged £200 for on an all inclusive package is utterly ridiculous. There is a fridge in the room and the cleaner should leave it there daily. Such a basic thing which we found let the hotel down.

THE SWIMMING POOLS ARE COLD Food is passable. The hotel is of an ok standard. But if you are looking for an autumn break then it's not quite right. Swimming pools are colder than the sea, and the nearest beach is miles away. Oh and yes, cockroaches are still around.
