So we describe the hotel... huge space inside, lots of plants and glass walls thanks to which we have blue sky and garden when sitting inside and it's great. 2 bars offering a lot, restaurant with a rich menu but many dishes are not too hot... they are simply not warm enough. A plus is a different cuisine from another part of the world every day and this is additionally not as the main menu. Service very helpful and friendly. For us the hotel is only for the night, breakfast and return for dinner so during the day we are not there but considering the location not too much in the area to have fun. Evenings are interesting, music, DJ, classics... depending on the day and this is another plus. The pool is large and clean everywhere, the rooms could be a better standard but it is a huge and old hotel so it would not be cheap to renovate it... I think that this 4 star hotel has one star too many. Generally ok. For our time it was ok.

Here now, food is probably 2-3 star. Always just about warm, never hot, boiled eggs for breakfast always cold. Choice of fried eggs or omelette, I had a fried egg and it was cold. Paella the same each day, Lunch is basic, never really differs. Dinner is slightly better but still just warm. I think it could be so much better. You can upgrade to premium all inclusive but it just gives you a different area to eat the same food, water on your table and tea and coffee in your room, which I think should be standard. Wine seems to be watered down in my opinion. On the plus side desserts look very nice. Hotel in general is very tired, our room is very dusty around the edges and under the beds are dirty, housekeeping every day and towels replenished if you pop them in the bath. I wouldn’t come back here, which is a shame as the pool area is beautiful and the indoor pool/spa is lovely (however needs updating). Been here 5 days and have to keep the same pool towels or pay for clean ones when you need them, it seems as though they’re trying to make extra money for anything they possibly can. It’s supposed to be all inclusive but in my experience that should mean all inclusive. Feels like miles from anywhere, on top of a hill.

This hotel feels like it needs to go into retirement. Its as if I was visiting the canaries as a kid again in the 90s. The hotel is very dated, I imagine it would have been spectacular 20 odd years ago. The pool area is very nice I must admit. And the balcony that you get means your in the sun the whole day and it's sheltered from the wind. The food... Well. We went half board because it was stupidly cheap to upgrade from bed and breakfast. However I would have been very disappointed had I been relying on this. The breakfast is absolutely fine. Standard holiday buffet style. However the pastries you could tell weren't super fresh. The evening meals. I basically ate bread and ice-cream. The drink scenario for those who aren't all inclusive is a bit weird... I didn't really understand what was happening there. The food was luke warm at best. Poor quality. The hotel is also quite a distance away from the beach and any supermarket or shops. The rooms feel dirty although I think it's because it's the same original furnishings. My bed felt like it was going to collapse at any moment and every time I moved it creaked... We paid for the safe in the room. €4 per day. Would I go back? No. Would I recommend? No.

We are family of 4. We stayed in this hotel for the week in February. The hotel is massive, with large rooms, 2 toilets, lots of furniture! Amazing glass lifts, kids loved them. However, the food was very low quality, especially lunch. No vegetables and fruits, only green bananas... Note, even if you purchased all-inclusive options, you can't return to have any food if you already have your dinner! The dinner is at 6.30 pm. The location is perfect. Only 15-20min walk until local shops and the beach. The sandy beach was lovely. There is one big heated pool, which is nice. Do expect that the temperature can drop until 16 in February and pack a light jacket, but you can sunbathe from 11 am-4 pm. Overall, we had a lovely time in Lanzarotte. The hotel needs to improve their menu.

This is a 3 star, not 4. It has been downgraded due to poorer standards. I have just returned from this hotel. It is trying to upgrade beds (appear to be very comfortable as well) due to a recent outbreak of bed bugs. ( we never experienced this, but it has had an outbreak) I went to this hotel about 15 yrs ago and only revisited as a friend was staying 100 yards away. There have been no updates to the property since I visited previously. So far as to say it is well used and dated. The luxury spa (as advertised) is far from. The only areas of the spa areas working were the steam and sauna. The hot/cold treatment caves were not. The gym has out if date equipment and definitely breaches health and safety. There is no workable/adjustable equipment, which consists of 2 bikes (you need to have long legs to climb on), 1 cross trainer, and 1 treadmill. Very disappointing as I was looking forward to using these facilities, particularly as the weather was not as nice. It was full when 3/4 people were in there. The food is bland, tastes the same no matter what you ate, and it was tepid. I used the microwave every day to heat my food. I understand from a waiter who seemed to be everywhere all day, dining, bars, cleaning... 10 staff were off sick and 7 new staff as he described "kids would go in the morning and didn't come back in the afternoon " What staff there were, in all services were lovely, polite and courteous Having said all this, speaking to others mainly pensioners who were staying a number of weeks. They were satisfied, so perhaps my tastes are not as open as their's? It's a beautiful hotel unfortunately in need of a serious upgrade, inside and out. And a must is to review of the catering. It seems many many people are saying the same thing about the food. For me, I will not visit again. The distance from the centre is great too, and if you're less able bodied, and have insufficient funds to pay for taxis or use the limited free bus to town your confined to the hotel as there is nothing around to visit.
