The Barceló Fuerteventura Mar is a superb choice for a holiday in the Canaries. This hotel offers modern rooms and direct access to a peaceful beachfront, and boasts a range of leisure facilities such as swimming pools, a children's club, and a mini golf course. We had a decent stay at this hotel, especially considering the price we paid. The rooms were clean and comfortable enough, but they were quite noisy. You can hear people stomping around in the rooms above, guests and staff running and talking loudly in the hallways, and occasionally even shouting. There’s a nightlife street right next to the hotel, which you can hear pretty well, but luckily it quiets down relatively early. We booked half-board, and the food was okay for what you pay. Breakfast was fine, and dinner was tasty for one night. However, if the hotel varied the dinner menu more, I think they could easily get higher ratings. They could also improve by switching from the paper receipt system to a digital one — it would be better for the environment, more convenient for both guests and staff, and even things like the wristbands could be made more sustainable. The pools were nice. One was heated and the other wasn’t, which gave a good option depending on your preference. Overall, we had a good stay — we just expected a bit less noise.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It's a short distance from the airport (about 15 minutes by coach). We were all inclusive for 1 week and found there was a good choice of food and drinks. The pool bar is very nice, offering seating indoors and outdoors. You can get some food and snacks there too. The heated pool was a very pleasant surprise, and while there was a good choice of sun loungers around the pool area, at least half didn't offer any shade. The beach is less than 2 minutes' walk, and you can walk in either direction along the promenade and discover other bars and restaurants.

We had a great time overall. The hotel is in a great location, with beautiful grounds, a lovely beach just steps away, and excellent pool areas that made for a truly relaxing stay. We were given one with a private jacuzzi—an amazing touch that made our experience even more special. While the rooms are a bit dated, they were clean and comfortable. Slight downside was the food. While it was decent, we found it quite repetitive and limited in variety. Having stayed at Barceló Lanzarote (on the same board basis) a few months ago, where there was an impressive selection and different themes each day, we had hoped for a similar standard here. Also, the food was often luke warm and not hot. On one evening we opted for Mexican restaurant and the food there was very good. That being said, the staff at this hotel are lovely, and a special mention has to go to Sebastian—an absolute gem! His friendly, positive attitude and genuine passion for what he does truly stand out. He is a real asset to the hotel and made a great impression on us. All in all, we would return, especially given the hotel’s convenience and overall experience. With a little improvements, this place could be near perfect!

The hotel and staff are lovely. It's very clean and relaxing. The food was pretty good, although not having tea or coffee included at lunch or evening meal is a bit strange. We also booked for the Brazilian restaurant, which we thought was terrible. We did express our thoughts to the staff and this was dealt with very well. The entertainment in the hotel in the evenings was very good. We would definitely stay again.

I can’t tell you how much we enjoyed our holiday with you. We loved everything about the hotel, staff food cleanliness it was 100% fabulous. We have stayed in many of the Barceló hotels and had equally great holidays but this one tops them all! Amazing hotel! We are going to Malta end of September and are staying in Silema’s one, which we are looking forward to. My husband will be 60 and it’s our 29th wedding anniversary so we can’t wait. Thank you for delivering another wonderful gift we asked for a room that good get late afternoon sun and we were amazed that you granted that to us that really made our holiday!
