I cannot thank the team at SBH Monica Beach Hotel enough for making my stay absolutely unforgettable! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and professionalism. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautiful facilities and a perfect location, but it was the incredible staff who truly made my experience special.
A special shout-out to the beach bar attendants who served with such friendliness and enthusiasm, and the front desk team who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for my stay. Your kindness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed!
I will be returning to this little slice of paradise very soon. Thank you for creating such a wonderful and memorable experience.

Me and my partner and 2 year old are just on holiday here, last day tomorrow
Before I came and read the reviews, I was pretty apprehensive!! But....
I'm not sure why there are soo many bad reviews!!
The foods lovely, staff are friendly and couldn't be more helpful, even talking/playing to my 2 year old at meal times. The whole place is clean, no rubbish anywhere. The rooms are cleaned and tidied daily, which if you have a toddler can get pretty messy 😂
I've found people in general to be friendly.
It's nice and quiet, so if your looking for nightlife then it's not for you. But if your wanting a relaxing getaway with a heated pool, beach. Then it's perfect.
The only reason I've gave 4 starts is yes the rooms could do with abit of updateing/decor, and a kettle 🤭 But who stays in their room while they're on holiday anyway!!??
Oasis wildlife park is definitely recommended too.

Lovely room overlooking the sea.
Rooms a little tired but the staff make up for it. Very friendly. Lots of entertainment if you like that sort of thing. Equally good for quiet & relaxation.

I honestly had the best holiday abroad and will 100%be returning to this hotel .from the min we walked into the reception to the min we reluctantly had to come home .I would like to thank every single 1 of the staff for making our holiday so special from the hotel cleaner rest staff especially Christina to the bar staff .entertainment reception everyone really made our holiday special thank you

Avoid the apartments at the far end of the complex! The hotel is well aware of FREQUENT break-ins but the staff will not warn you!
First the good: the weather in Costa Calma was really nice (not too hot, but reliably sunny) and the beach is really nice. Most of the staff (cafeteria, bars) are quite friendly.
The bad:
- the hotel is old, the rooms are musty and kind of gross. The public toilets are very dirty
- lots of cockroaches. Our kids didn't want to use the toilets by the pool because there were so many live ones crawling around
- you have to pay for loungers on the beach (5 Euros per day, per lounger + 5 Euros if you want an umbrella)
- the food is just ok. Coffee from the machines is pretty awful
The WORST: two days before we left, our apartment was broken into. We had locked the windows as instructed, but the thieves just popped the entire window out. About 900 Euros worth of cash and electronics were stolen. The hotel management was completely unfazed; they just popped the window back in and called it a day. (Beware room 564. I guarantee the window was just placed back with no repairs/reinforcement.) Our kids were terrified and traumatized because the thieves had ransacked the apartment and gone through our things. We all felt very unsafe from that point on. Hotel management were completely unhelpful. There is no security to check who is coming onto the hotel premises. We had to spend our last full day dealing with the police report ourselves. We spoke to other guests who had heard of other break-ins recently. We did spend our last night in a room on the third floor (bit safer) but the damage was already done. We couldn't wait to leave!
My advice: cancel your booking, spend your money elsewhere. I would have rather spent the extra +900 Euros on a nicer and safer holiday. If its too late, then at least take everything valuable with you when you leave the room!
