No hotel envy here! I can't fathom why there were any bad reviews as everything during our stay was excellent. We first arrived at the hotel late in the evening and so was grouchy and ready for food after a day of travelling. However, the check-in desk was efficient and friendly and assured us we could eat straight away. The food options for our stay varied from day to day, but they made sure to have staples so it left us knowing we would always find something we could eat. They also had a speciality restaurant that was Asian themed this time, which I recommend trying out. Regarding the location, it's such a beautiful resort! So, there's not much to say other than you should experience it for yourself. They even had activities like archery, mini-golf, and beach volleyball if sitting by the pool all day isn't your thing. 10/10 would recommend.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot thank the team at SBH Monica Beach Hotel enough for making my stay absolutely unforgettable! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and professionalism. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautiful facilities and a perfect location, but it was the incredible staff who truly made my experience special. A special shout-out to the beach bar attendants who served with such friendliness and enthusiasm, and the front desk team who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for my stay. Your kindness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed! I will be returning to this little slice of paradise very soon. Thank you for creating such a wonderful and memorable experience. Highly recommended!

Nice hotel, although it is tired and could do with some money spending to bring it up to scratch. Quite a few areas that health and safety would be jumping on if it was here! However, everywhere was very clean and all the staff were constantly cleaning all areas. Rooms were cleaned everyday so no complaints. Pool area had plenty of sun beds, along with others heading down towards the beach, including the Bali beds which was an additional cost. Nice bar down by the beach as well. Food was decent in the main restaurant but pretty much the same every day, but you expect that in a place like this, although it wasn’t an issue for us. We booked to go to the Asian restaurant one evening, and it was the worst food we had all week. Cold and absolutely tasteless, and to add insult to injury we were then billed for the drinks! Don’t bother if you are expecting something special, because this isn’t it. Be prepared to hire the safe in the room for your stay, along with the towels for the pool - you will get the deposit back at the end of your stay though. The staff were all friendly and smiley and although they seemed to be short staffed, they were all helpful and you could see how hard they all worked. All in all we had a good time here, although the star rating probably needs to be lower.

Do not book the family rooms if you have mobility issues. Way too far from the hotel, pools and restaurant. The food was ok and got better as the week went on. Not much available food wise if you miss lunch or arrive later in the day and have to wait for dinner. No kettles available so take your own. Problem with ants in the rooms. You have to step into the bath which is quite slippery when taking a shower. The walk to the beach is on different levels. The beach was beautiful, no sunbeds and no beach bar.

Great hotel which is a very large complex with over 700 rooms, great quality food which is probably the best we have ever tasted staying at an all inclusive resort, something for everyone and you certainly won't starve! Room we had was a one bedroom family room with balcony, with a single bed settee in the kitchen/diner end of the room, only gripe with the room is there is a small kitchen with hob/fridge cupboard etc, but no pots/pans/cutlery, not so much a kettle, to which we went out and bought a travel kettle and some mugs to have a hot drink in our room, enquired at reception about a kettle, and only have four kettles for the entire hotel complex! Monica beach hotel is part of a chain of Sbh hotels in fuerteventura, three or four are within Costa calma, and saw another in Morro Jable which is around a 40mins/12mile coach ride away at a cost of €2.70 per person each way, Costa calma is very much a beach holiday hotel with very little things to do in the surrounding area (learnt the younger local nickname it Costa coma!) so if it a beach hotel you want, then you won't go far wrong staying here, but if you want something more lively with plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and arcades etc then you will be disappointed and possibly get bored if you don't hire a vehicles or use public transport to go elsewhere just as we did! Certainly trip I saw online wouldn't pick up from Costa calma either, as turned out to be the north end of the island, still found enough to do to keep us busy with exploring and site seeing, zoo, boat trip from Morro Jable harbour, 4x4 safari, off road buggy's etc.
