Nice hotel. Front Desk and housekeeping staff were wonderful - the location is excellent. It is an easy walk to Massy to get groceries, a number of restaurants, and into Oistins. There are nice beaches a stones throw away, and the pool was nice. They do charge you for changing out your beach towel (nominal). They also have coin-operated guest laundry and an activities desk onsite. The restaurant makes delicious fish cakes. We would stay here again but would upgrade to an ocean view in the future.

I have never had such an unpleasant experience with a hotel ever. This 3⭐️hotel would be 1⭐️in Europe. Read some reviews about welcome drink upon arrival, well it didn’t exist in our case. The room need a proper refurbishment , I felt like a time traveler who stuck in the 70’s cheap motel. Room cleaning quite poor, they didn’t change the bedding during our 6 night stay... not even once. Coffee mug left on tv stand without being washed. No vacuum, sweeping just only once, when we arrived back early afternoon and the cleaner was still there, so she had to do😂. Balcony chair was so dirty I couldn’t sit outside , not even once. I was killing at least 15 small cockroaches in the bathroom…nightmare. I was reading 5*reviews and I can’t believe my eyes. No way that reviews are genuine. Overall only 2 positive things: bed was comfy, and the AC was working properly, nothing else. I don’t recommend this hotel!!!

Had the best stay at the hotel with my wife and son Harvey, thanks to all the staff, so friendly and helpful. Met plenty of guests who have been going to the Butterfly for decades. Loved it, and Harvey was a real hit it’s you all. Thankyou for you amazing hospitality xx

Absolutely love this hotel on the south coast near Oistens. Staff are really friendly and helpful, rooms are always clean and comfortable. Location absolutely spot on can get anywhere on the island either ZR 😂, bus or car. The staff cannot do enough to help you have a good time and food amazing 🌴🌴☀️☀️🍹🍹

I will be back! My husband and I recently returned from our Bajan honeymoon. We stayed at the Butterfly Beach Hotel and it was lovely. I am going to start my review with the cons of the hotel Cons: 1. Outdated- the furniture and fixtures of this hotel are outdated. If you are into modern fixtures and furniture then this hotel is not for you. However, the Butterfly is temporarily closing in September 2024 for renovations, so don't write the hotel off just yet. That is the only con! Pros: 1. Service- All of the staff were friendly and personable; throughout our visit they asked how our honeymoon was going and if there is anything that could make it better. Additionally, when I booked the hotel I wrote in the notes that we are celebrating our honeymoon. When we arrived there were welcome drinks in at the front desk for all guests and champagne in our room with a handwritten note that said, "Congratulations!". We rented ebikes to get around the area and there is no bike rack at this hotel but the staff was generous enough to allow us to keep the bikes in a luggage closet for the duration of our stay. When we arrived in our room there was a note about the AC unit. The note read that if you set the AC to a temperature under 20 C that the unit would badly leak. Our unit was above 20 degrees and it leaked. I went to the front desk and explained the situation and asked for towels to place on the floor. The receptionist gave me towels. Less than 5 minutes later a maintenance person knocked on the door, fixed the issue, and put a fresh towel down just in case. However, the unit didn't leak again. 2. Cleanliness- I have never stayed at a hotel in which the staff are cleaning around the clock. During and after the COVID pandemic a lot of brand name hotels stopped their daily room cleaning service. I've even been at a hotel in which the rooms are cleaned once every three days. Not at the Butterfly. The rooms are cleaned EVERY DAY. One time on a Sunday my husband was in the shower and the maid knocked on the door for cleaning. I opened the door and explained that my husband was in the shower. I fully expected for our room to be skipped for cleaning that day but the maid said that she would come back later and she did. Finally there are staff cleaning the pools everyday before the pools open and after the pools close. There are constantly people cleaning throughout the hotel during the day. During our stay I saw one ant in our room and I'm guessing the ant was probably on our clothes from being outside. 3. Location- The Butterfly is located in Christ Church parish in Oistins on Highway 7. The property is right on the waterfront. My husband and I jumped in the ocean every morning. It is about a mile away from a grocery store and the Oistins Fish fry plaza. There are plenty of ZR buses and regular buses that pass the hotel at all times of the day. My husband is 6'9" tall so we did not utilize the ZRs. We used ebikes to get around the area and going places was quite accessible and easy to get to. St. Lawrence Gap is less than a ten minute ebike ride (the bike motor allows us to go travel at higher speeds than a traditional bike). Also most tours offer pickup at the Butterfly. I can't wait to return to Barbados, I will definitely stay at the Butterfly again. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.
