We just finished a 5 night stay at this resort and we were so happy we came across this place. Right on the beachfront on Dover Beach, it has amazing views and pleasant service. Our room had a porch that led right to the beach, which made it very convenient as we were just steps away. Everyone was helpful and made us feel welcome. Really only two complaints, one of which is not the fault of the resort itself. Firstly, we had dinner at the resort our first night and it took two hours for our entrees to come out. It appeared they were short-staffed that night, but that wasn’t made clear to us when the front desk recommended we stay for dinner instead of telling us about some other local spots. Secondly, and this is the one that wasn’t the resort’s fault, is the lack of umbrellas for shade on the beach. The resort itself does not have any umbrellas, but anytime we tried to ask where we could get one (apparently there is a vendor on the beach), it felt like we were bounced around. Not the resort’s fault, but frustrating nonetheless. Overall, those two issues did not take away from our stay and I still gladly would give it 5 out of 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. We truly fell in love with the place and with Barbados and can’t wait to come back. Thank you to everyone at Southern Palms!

Spent the last 11 days in SP with friends What an amazing hotel. Rooms overlooking the beach with kitchenette. Massive comfortable bed. Lovely Aircon Rooms are spacious cleaned daily with fresh towels. Beach towels changed everyday. Dave the beach towel guy was so friendly. Jennie on reception was amazing sorting our transfers and room extension. All cleaning staff bar staff reception and handy men were super friendly. There are several cats that are well looked after and fed by the hotel. They are so cute. Definitely would recommend to anyone wanting to visit. Great location on the Gap. Brilliant hotel on the beach at St. Lawrence Gap. Staff really friendly Rooms great size and clean. Bathroom adequate, lots of hot water, if you let the tap run for ages. Will definitely stay here again.

My experience at the Southern Palms H Beach Resort was excellent due to the beautiful views and the outstanding customer service from the staff especially from David and Rodney who attended to our every need & had a wonderful manner with children by hosting a mini golf tournament and giving out free wind surfing lessons. The staff on reception were also friendly & helpful throughout.

The location is perfect! Safe, easy access to other areas & nearby bars etc. The pools were great. The beach was pretty amazing 🌴 & yes it has waves sometimes but we loved that - great for bodyboarding! Saw turtles 🐢 everyday in the sea. The view from the room was lovely, could do with a refurb but it was well kept. Gym was good - best air con in the hotel which was fab! Special mention to the gentleman who manages the bodyboarding/snorkeling stuff (much of which is included as a staying guest) - he is exceptionally professional, friendly, helpful, approachable- an excellent example of hospitality, such a hard worker too - always on the go! Jenny was also very kind & helpful at the front desk - felt like nothing was too much trouble. 🌴🫶🏿🫶🏻
