This enchanting family-run hotel rests on the beautiful south coast of Barbados, nestled right in the middle of Christ Church and Bridgetown. The Blades family set up Coconut Court Beach Hotel over four decades ago and it’s no wonder they chose this stunning seaside spot, where the palm trees sway and turtles play in the turquoise sea. Chilled-out beach life is the focus here, with a seafront swimming pool, dining by the sands and movie nights all on offer. Don’t miss sipping the Blades family Caribbean rum cocktail recipe, the ‘Pirate Punch’ as the sun goes down over the horizon. It’s the perfect way to end a day in paradise.

Visited in Nov 24. Great Family run hotel right on the beach. Really safe for swimming.
There’s a small reef just offshore loads of tropical fish have made it a home so pack a snorkel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

My friends and I recently spent a few days here and it was lovely. The young lady with glasses who was also the front desk receptionist, was very kind, friendly and helpful. She informed us of all the onsite restaurants as well as the events hosted by coconut court everyday. Their facilities and beach are very clean and well kept. The hotel is very close to town and lots of food options are nearby. Our room was cleaned everyday and it was greatly appreciated. Excursions and taxis were also available to book directly through the hotel. I will definitely be staying at coconut court again.

We had a wonderful stay at Coconut Court, it is in a great location with many restaurants and amenities close by. The beach is great, and you can walk right along the new board-walk to other near-by beaches too.
The room was really big, with a lovely balcony, and very clean. The maids came in a made the beds everyday. Jake's across the road is great for cocktails and evening food. The family who ran the hotel were also there during our stay and were extremely friendly.
The only negative was how expensive the breakfast was, there are also additional tourist levy's they add to this.
We went on an organised catamaran cruise for the day, organised by the activities desk which was amazing and well worth doing if you would like to go snorkelling and see turtles, fish and great views.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Coconut Court Beach Hotel in Barbados, and overall, we had a great experience! The staff were incredibly friendly, with the ladies in the restaurant going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A special shoutout to Shem, our bartender, who truly made our experience unforgettable.
From the moment we arrived, we were always greeted with a smile, and Shem felt like family by the end of our stay. His warm personality and attentiveness made us feel so comfortable, and he has a knack for making everyone feel at home. The hotel would be wise to do whatever it takes to keep him around, as he definitely keeps the customers happy and serves up some of the best rum punch we’ve ever had!
However, we did encounter a few disappointments that I feel are worth mentioning. The beach towel situation was a bit off-putting and felt unsanitary. As paying customers, it shouldn’t be an issue to ask for a new, fresh beach towel, yet we were instructed that if we needed a fresh towel, we would have to pay for it. I’ve never encountered anything like this before, and it was quite surprising.
Additionally, I believe the rooms could be better appointed. Simple amenities like coffee and tea would enhance the experience, and a little more attention to detail in cleaning—especially in the corners of showers and behind the toilets—would go a long way in improving overall cleanliness.
Despite these concerns, the atmosphere at Coconut Court is relaxed and inviting, making it a great getaway. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to enjoy a wonderful stay in Barbados. Thank you to the entire team for making our trip so memorable!

We paid for an upgrade to an ocean view and I would highly recommend this if you are planning on staying here (their annex building is on the other side of the highway). The room was fine. A/C worked well but was incredibly loud (especially from the balcony - you couldn't have it on and hold a comfortable conversation while sitting out on the balcony at all). Wifi was good, and housekeeping serviced the room each day. I would suggest that the hotel should not cheap-out on amenities though. A kitchen is provided, but dish soap and a scrubbing pad are not (we called down thinking it was accidental but were told to go and buy our own). They also charge if you would like to change out your beach towel - I would suggest making this complimentary every 3 days or something, especially for folks staying for extended periods. All this said, we really did love our stay - the manager rum punch evening was nice, staff were friendly, they have a lovely gift shop and a selection of books to read. The pool was enjoyable, and the premises are a short walk down to the boardwalk (it connects you to restaurants etc.). I would wear water shoes in the ocean here, and bring your snorkel equipment :).
