I regret booking this hotel and would never return. If you want a stress-free, clean, and enjoyable vacation, stay away! Here are the biggest problems:
Dirty Pools & Beach – The pools were filthy, and the beach had trash everywhere. The water smelled like fuel from boats and jet skis. Not safe for swimming!
Terrible Food – The food was bland, cold, and low quality. Same meals every day, long wait times, and many things didn’t taste fresh.
Horrible Service – The staff don’t care about guests. They are slow, rude, and unhelpful. Any request takes forever.
Overcrowded & No Space – The hotel is overbooked. There are not enough beach chairs, tables, or space for guests. You must wake up early just to get a seat!
Bad Rooms – The rooms are old, dirty, and falling apart. No balcony, AC doesn’t work well, and the bathrooms have mold and plumbing problems.
Too Much Noise – Loud music, yelling guests, and no soundproofing. Impossible to sleep or relax.
Long Lines for Everything – You have to wait forever for food, drinks, check-in, or even a simple question at the front desk.
Not Family-Friendly – This is not a good hotel for families. No proper facilities for kids, no clean play areas, and the food isn’t good for children.
No Hospitality Room – After check-out, the hotel did not offer a room for showering or resting before our flight. We had to pay extra just to stay longer.
Not Worth the Money – Too expensive for such poor quality. Better hotels are available for the same price. This hotel is not worth it.

I just returned from a birthday trip with a large group at this hotel, and I was not pleased at all. We checked in and were upgraded to the Sens and was told that the hotel was better, if that was the case, I would hate to see what the other placed looked like. The room was outdated, the sheets smelled musty and the bathroom was terrible, the tub felt like you were going to fall in. The hot water and pressure was amazing. Room service was slow and did not have anything available when they came to the room, 2 hours for towels, then why are you cleaning my room now? The hotel staff was not very informative, and could have been friendlier to tourist who come to spend their money at this all inclusive resort. Their is no information about the amenities, like what the hotels offer, restaurant open and close times. Why does a restaurant close at 6pm? Why are you not allowed to take any food out, what happens if you are sick you can only eat at the hotels. That makes no sense to me. The food at the buffets cater more to their culture than anything else, the food tasted bad, and the presentation at the buffets needs work. The best spot was the coffee bar: pastries, coffee, bottled water and fruits daily. The Miramar restaurant dinner was very good. The restaurant that I had an issue with was the COCOA, we had reservations and came to the restaurant on time and most of the party was there, maybe 8 people were late. We were the only one basically in the place. We all ordered food before other people started coming in, and some in the group got their food way after the other customers who came in after us. When this was brought to their attention, it was like okay, okay, we brining it now. Not acceptable They need to be able to accommodate large groups. The beach, the glass bar, were great. I would not return to this hotel.

It was great located overall, but i feel it was too busy. It was too very crowded every single place at the resort.. The food can be improved for much.
Our room had a beautiful ocean & pool view, and we love it.
We didn't like at all the food. Nothing had authentic taste, not even the Mexican restaurant, the Italian, and the sushi restaurant.

This hotel The Sens, has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. From the moment I arrived at the front desk, check-in was a nightmare—it took six hours. I had booked two rooms, and while they charged my card for one, their system kept declining my payment for the second. I called my bank four times, and they confirmed the issue was on the hotel's end, not mine. Still, the managers and supervisors were rude and unhelpful.
Strangely, my card worked everywhere else in the hotel, just not at the front desk. They treated me like I was trying to stay there without paying. Even after I paid in cash, their attitude didn’t improve. On top of that, my room key wasn’t activated twice, so I had to keep going back to fix it.
The room itself was disappointing—the ventilation and AC were awful. Whether it was on or off, the room smelled like fried food, which was unbearable for days. The hotel only has two tiny elevators for the whole Grand Oasis (The Sens), so we often waited 20 minutes just to get on. Most of the time, we gave up and took the stairs from the 5th floor. Internet was very slow, almost unable to navigate..
On the bright side, the hotel offers daily shows and activities, and the buffet food was decent. If you want to eat at other restaurants, though, you have to make a reservation a day in advance. The pool water was cold, but at least the beach was close. However, finding a lounge chair was nearly impossible—they were all taken by 7 AM.
Another huge inconvenience was transportation. The hotel security wouldn’t let Uber pick us up inside, only allowing their own partnered transport. We had to walk all the way out with our luggage just to meet our Uber.
We’ve stayed at other hotels in Cancun, but this was by far the worst in terms of customer service

My family were originally reserved in
room 1117 then other staff changed it to 1126 this room's air conditioned was not working then waited for few hours for them to change our room to 1113. We stayed only for overnight the curtains are moldy then the next day it rained we came back water everywhere on the floor beside the window. I did not complain after, my family and I checkout asked me the reason the reception to sign in a notebook then the staff at front desk never apologies Very bad experience from for my family that is first time coming in Mexico from Canada.
