Disappointing Experience at Grand Oasis Hotel While the resort itself is beautiful, with a fantastic beach and pool area, my stay at the Grand Oasis Hotel was disappointing due to several issues with the room and service. Check-in was smooth, and I initially asked if the band I was given meant I was all-inclusive. I was told it did, as it would allow me access to food and drinks. However, things started to go downhill when we entered our room. As soon as we walked down the hallway, there was a noticeable smell of mold, and it only got worse once we entered the room. The room itself appeared clean, but it had a strong moldy odor, and the TV didn’t work. When we went to eat at a restaurant, we were told that it wasn’t included with our band, and I had to pay for the meal. At that point, I was too tired and hungry to argue, so I just paid. Afterward, we went to guest services to clarify the all-inclusive options, and that’s when we were informed there are three different types of all-inclusive packages at the resort—something that was never explained to us upon check-in. It was only after paying for the meal that we decided to upgrade our bands so we could access all the resort’s areas. The food at the buffet was consistently cold, and there weren’t many options for pescatarians. Buffet breakfast wasn’t great, but lunch and dinner were the worst. I often had to make a reservation at a restaurant to get a decent meal. The next issue came with the shower. It was clogged, and the water overflowed into the bathroom, creating a mess. The mold smell persisted, and I had to use shower shoes because I didn’t feel comfortable stepping barefoot in the shower. The shower also didn’t have doors, which made the situation even worse. We reported the problems to customer service, and while they were polite, nothing was done to address the issues. It took four days for the TV to finally start working, and no one ever came to fix the shower. We just learned to manage it by turning the water on and off to prevent the overflow, but it never fully stopped. The resort staff were lovely, and I have to say the outdoor areas like the pool and beach bars were great. Unfortunately, the rooms are outdated and in need of major repairs. We spent most of our time outside, avoiding the room unless it was time to sleep. Overall, while the location and amenities outside were nice, the room conditions, lack of communication about the all-inclusive options, and disappointing food left a lot to be desired.

Update: We're on day 2 and the staff has been putting obvious effort into improving the quality of our stay. We're not even through day one yet and it's been absolutely TERRIBLE!! We were sent to a dirty room after a timely wait and VERY poor drinks from the bar. Please note that the room was literally dirty from the previous guest. Guests services was quick to give me a different room. However it is not the king room that I booked. Instead they pushed two beds together to make a "king" bed. I'm at a loss in the first half the day at this resort. NOTE!!! Bring food if you do book here. We have yet to eat today after the craziness.

It was our first time in Cancun and it was not at all what I expected. This place is a joke! Other then the nice employees I do not recommend this place to anyone!!! The food was horrible, reservations were hard to get to a decent place to eat . Buffett made my husband sick and I didnt get sick because I would not eat that crap they had out. We were very disappointed in our time here at Oasis Palm. Our room smelled like mold and the shower flooded the bathroom every time someone showered. The shower clogged up and didn't drain so you were standing in 3 inches of gross water when you were showering. You only got some nasty tasting coke or sprite when you wanted soda in the " all inclusive" but you had to pay for coke and sprite in the can to be sent to the room then it never arrives. Just very disappointed in all of it. Then minute you arrive to check in they will tell you that your room is not ready yet and so you wait BUT they have people waiting on you to try to get you to buy the packages for excursions " while you wait for your room" . just remember " ALL INCLUSIVE DOES NOT MEAN " ALL INCLUSIVE" HERE.

I'm not fussy but was mislead to this place. The tvs don't work and the pools are a challenge to get in and out of. The buffets aren't that great. They have an app to book reservations for sit down dining but that is a challenge also. I woke up at 730 to make a reservation and was told to wait until 8 am and then was told in the app nothing was available. The shower has glass doors and my daughter could see my boyfriend taking a shower if she really wanted to because half the wall is in glass block where you shower. So here I am at 11pm at night still waiting for them to fix my tv since 6pm, so I can at least watch my static tnt station which is the only one that sometimes works. I will not be coming back here. I spent too much money on this trip and I'm not paying them a sent to wash my underwear. I was told they had laundry facility meanwhile they don't. So if you plan on coming make sure you pack enough clothes for the week. A motel 8 is better then this. I would of rather stayed home with my easy to get into pool, my working tv, my washing machine, and microwave. What a waste.

When my husband, our two kids, and I first check in and got to our room, we noticed some problems. The dresser had a crack across it and a drawer that wouldn't close. The beds were both visibly sagging with stains on the comforters (these did look like "set in" stains, so it did look like they had been washed and were just still there). The curtains only opened about a foot and then got stuck on themselves. The lamp even had stains on it. When we tried to turn the TV on, it was just static. We found one channel that worked, but it had no sound. We decided to put up with this since we did not know where else we would stay and we did not plan to be in the room that much, but rather enjoying the resort and Mexico. That night, I got up in the middle of the night and walked across the room and walked through a puddle on the ground. I turned the lights on and our ceiling was leaking. It was a steady drip from one spot. I used our ice bucket to collect the dripping and it filled up in 2.5 hours. First thing in the morning, my husband went to find someone to talk to about it and went to the front desk and then was sent to someone else and was then sent to someone else. They finally came up to look at the room (oddly during this time, housekeeping had cleaned our room, but left the ice bucket to collect the dripping and did not seem to have reported this to anyone). The rep took pictures of all the issues and reported the leaking and had someone come to fix the leaking. And moved us to a new room. We followed to the new room and in the new room, all the original issues, except the TV, were better, so we moved all of our stuff to the new room. After moving and after the rep left, my husband noticed and pointed out the mold spots all across the ceiling. We decided to find somewhere else to stay and left as soon as we could. Other notes: -The food was good. We only ate at the Sports Bar and the main buffet, but enjoyed both. -The drinks were pretty good. Our kids liked the kids drinks here better than at the other we resort we moved to. -We liked the long rectangle pool more than the other pool-it was cleaner. -Overall, the staff was trying to be really helpful.
