Guadalupe, Sandra Cruz and Enrique P. should be commended for their outstanding customer service! While I did NOT enjoy the resort, the service was amazing. Always greeted us with a smile and always made us feel welcomed! The resort itself was not as advertised, photos from their sister property down the street. Additionally, everything was a sales gimmick. I felt like I was at a 90s timeshare seminar. It was not sanitary either; I never once saw a bar cup go through a dishwasher - dipped and rinsed only. There are no straws on the property. The rooms (had multiple) were damp and mildew growth on the ceiling. The “beach” is not - manmade sand deck. But again, the SERVICE staff (food & beverage) was the best!! DO YOUR RESEARCH!

We just got home from an amazing week! The resort is just perfect. The food, the drinks, and the service! All the staff were excellent, and special mention to HENRY at the beach bar and JUANITA in the lobby bar. We enjoyed being next door to the pirate ship and the ferry. Thanks for the great week!

Everything was wonderful. The staff was so wonderful… Henry, Enrique, Miguel, and Mariasol made ordering drinks at the bar so much fun due to their happy, vibrant personalities. And Sandra would wait on us with the brightest smile and got to know us. And Vanilly was the best. He made sure we laughed and smiled while eating at the buffet everyday. The staff deserves a 10 star rating!!! I’ll definitely go again

We just returned from an amazing week at the Occidental Costa! We loved our experience. The best part of this resort is the staff. Everywhere you go on property, there is a member of their staff greeting you and willing to assist you in any way. Laruen at the pool, and Maria in the buffet were extra amazing. They always remembered us and made our interactions with them memorable. The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating is because the boats all come in by the beach area (the exhaust was pretty constant all day), and the food was a bit hit or miss. The Mexican food night in the buffet on Friday was so good. I wish they would have done that multiple times. If you are looking for a low-key, easy trip, the Costa will hit the mark.

If you are going for beautiful Caribbean water, this is NOT the place to stay. It’s right off of a canal and the water is dirty and gross. No snorkeling because you can’t see anything. Ships coming in and out of the canal all day so stirs up everything in the water. The rooms were great. Beds were comfortable. We had adjoining rooms. Housekeeping kept them very clean. Service at buffet was impeccable. Alfredo was our favorite waiter and took great care of us. He was personable. Called us his familia. Always knew what we wanted to drink. Rest of the staff at the hotel were nice also. Out of all the all-inclusive my husband and I have stayed at, this one by far had the best food. We did travel for New Year’s Eve and they had singing and LOUD music till 3am. I just felt that was entirely too long. People are traveling with small children or older folks that are not up partying that late. It was so loud you could not sleep. Would not stay here again only because of the beach. It’s small, dirty, roped off, and NOT at all like the beaches on their pics on the website.
