We had a really great week at this hotel! The staff were excellent, really helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent every morning with a good selection of local foods alongside staples. The pool and beach were both really great, it is next to a road that you have to cross to get to the beach but it was never busy enough to be problem. We both had fantastic massages in their wellness centre on our last day which were a (necessary!) highlight. Room was fairly basic but we were really only there to sleep so not so much of a problem for us!

Great hotel situated on a quiet road across from the beach. It had a friendly, calm, family atmosphere and was very clean with rooms made up daily. Breakfast was yummy with plenty of options including plenty of Greek and Cretan options. The hotel provided sunbeds on the beach and beach towels. Nearby was some great family tavernas, bakeries, a decent supermarket and a good car hire place that we used. Rethymno old town was an easy 30 min stroll away and a fabulous place to visit.
Only reason and I haven't given full 5 stars is because we had a booking for 3 people but when we arrived the apartment was only made up for 2. We arrived at night so the concierge made up a third bed best he could then housekeeping made it up properly the next morning. When towels were changed they only changed 2 so we had to ask for the third towel to be changed.

The stay at Plaza Beach was a fantastic experience. The staff were polite and the room was cleaned regularly.
The staff were approachable and provided a professional service. We had paid for half board so we saw them twice a day at least.
Reception staff were helpful when the transfer was not confirmed by my travel agency.

My favorite hotel forever. The location is absolutely breathtaking, directly across the sea. You can have a nice walk to Rethymno city along the beach from here.I really recommend the breakfast buffet, they also accommodate dietary restrictions. Staff is as friendly as usual in Greece, from housekeeping to waiters and receptionists. Very kid-friendly. I will definitely keep coming back. In my opinion, this is the most beautiful hotel in Crete.

Me and my family visited this hotel last week. When I arrived I was not happy with the room and they kindly changed it .Apartments were not to my liking dark not enough chairs no couch. It was a very strange configuration.Bed was lovely and comfortable.
Location was amazing and view spectacular but not many apartments had sea view.Having the beach across the road was great.
Staff were lovely very helpful polite and nothing too much trouble.
We drank here a bit as I was with 3 small children found it very pricey and lunch food not great.
Pools were too small for the size of hotel and not enough sunbeds by far.
Will not be returning rooms very expensive for what was on offer
