The location is excellent. Our room overlooked the sea, which was lovely. Food and drinks are good. The beach is described as private, but it isn't. We watched people walking from other areas, taking sunbeds and parasols from the storage area. I was even asked by someone if he could have my parasol as none were left. He didn't even stay at the hotel. They are free to hotel guests, but it looks like others have discovered this and are taking liberties. The bar is operated by a call bell system from the tables. Be warned some of these devices don't work, and if you try and catch a waiters attention you maybe subjected to the same embarrassment as being shouted at that "i can see" and hand gestures which were quite rude. As my husband remarked, if he can see why have we been sitting here so long... and I mean long!

Great location, with access straight onto the Balcony of Europe and to the beach via the lift. Rooms clean and well serviced, fridge, and kettle with coffee and tea. Towels provided for use at the beach, which can be changed daily if required. The beach is easily accessible and has plenty of sunbeds either on the beach or on the sundeck. The shower and toilet down by the beach is a nice touch.
I only had breakfast at the restaurant which was good with everything you would expect, omelettes and pancakes made to order was a nice touch.
If I was even to return to Nerja I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is in the most quaint quarter of Nerja, over looking the stunning coastal area.
The hotel is Spotless with the most wonderful staff ,in every area of the hotel.
The choice of breakfast is excellent, freshly made crepes/ Omelettes to order.
Small but refreshing pool and hot tub, overlooking a small beach with guest sun beds .

This hotel in my opinion is in the best location in Nerja overlooking the sea & The balcony de Europa. It is a very good 4* hotel in my opinion catering mainly for Brits with buffets for breakfast & dinner serving very British food mixed in with Spanish for those of us wishing to sample local cuisine. Hotel is very well appointed over 9 floors. The first being at sea level & the 9th where our room was overlooking the beach. You’re never far from a wonderful view. Our bedroom had a balcony a king sized bed. Tea & Coffee with a kettle Chair etc. Bathroom clean tidy tiled throughout- Bath & powerful hot shower - Tiled floor serviced every day - Most of the public rooms have a sea view or over the balcony de Europa itself inc The restaurant Library Lounges Pool Area & associated cafe. No where better to stay in Nerja in my opinion

I’ve never been more torn about a hotel review… what I will say is, the location of this hotel is absolute perfection! You’re right in the town center so everything is accessible.
The hotel beach access starts at 10a (but you can easily access it earlier from the public entrance). They provide beach chairs and umbrellas so you can stay all day!
The restaurants food is fine and definitely overpriced. I paid 8€ for a mocktail. 🫠 We had the paella which was fairly flavorless but the fish was good. The service was GREAT and they were very kind!
The room… left a lot to be desired. Air conditioning being one of them. It was very hot in Nerja so we didn’t expected the room to be cold but it sat at a solid 27°C the whole time. Which made sleeping challenging and the bed was as hard as the floor. We had multiple service people in to help but the room never got to a tolerable temperature.
The bathroom also didn’t have good ventilation so it smelled a bit moldy. Keeping rooms dry by the ocean has to be an impossible task but my allergies were definitely activated.
The morning breakfast is designed for Americans and UK folks - a plethora of options which were all fine. The breakfast view was the true treat!
The parking is also odd - you have to take a key back and forth from the front desk to let you in and out. There is certainly some sort of technology that they could implement to make this easier for the guest.
We decided to check out a day early to find somewhere else to rest our very warm heads as we continued our Spain road trip.
