I stayed here in May 2023, and I forgot to leave a review. The place was great. the animation team was fantastic. When I first arrived, reception staff gave us a good greeting and offered us all a drink (wife and 2 young kids). The food was amazing. They had theme nights with theme food. We even had a Japanese night, with sushi, and a sushi chef was brought in to supervise. Snacks available during the day, at the pool house restaurant/ bar. They did this fantastic slushy, which was non-alcoholic pina colada. They had some great activities during the day, including having an inflatable bridge for children to run across. The evening entertainment was good too, some was in-House, other times they got an entertainer in I.e. magician, dancers, bubble magic, etc. For some reason, they did face painting for kids, but late in the evening (8-9 ish); it would have been better to do it in the evening. The hotel is quite isolated without your own transportation, for some would be a bad feature, for us a positive. Small book borrow area as well, mostly in Spanish and German.

TL;DR: Hotel fully focused on (foreign) families with small kids. Pros: fairly good location, 5-10' walk to the beach, staff at lunch/dinner/cleaning ver friendly (best in class!), food is very diverse, good gym facilities, clean rooms. Cons: Rooms with poor sound isolation (woke up every day to some cries or shouts from kids/babies). Barely any activities for adults, nothing to do after 23:30h. The pool was taken over by kids (they only had one pool available). Staff at reception gave us the wrong indications about transportation to the airport, which on this island is a big issue given the poor transportation connections.

An absolutely amazing hotel!! The rooms are great and spotless, beds very comfy. Food is gorgeous!! Such a great choice and variety everyday. Everything is so delicious and so fresh!! Drinks great and so many different places to avail of them so you never have far to go. Pools are all brilliant for kids, sunbeds plentiful. Entertainment excellent. Staff all so friendly and great with kids. Walk to the beach is so nice and only 5 mins away, very scenic. Cannot fault anything in this hotel.

Normally, I don’t write reviews, but I simply couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share our fantastic experience at Iberostar Waves Gaviotas Park. From start to finish, it was truly the best holiday we’ve had so far! A special shout-out to Lucy, our room attendant—she was amazing! We were absolutely delighted when we saw how she had cleaned and organized our room. Her attention to detail was beyond expectations, and she even refused any tips we tried to offer. The only way we could express our gratitude was through this review, and I really hope it reaches her management team. Lucy, you are the best! While we had not a very pleasant moments with one of the waitresses at the bar, it certainly didn’t take away from the overall experience. The staff, in general, were incredibly welcoming and attentive. A huge thank you also goes to the entertainment team, especially the performers who wowed us with their Whitney Houston and Celine Dion tribute show! You guys were incredible—your energy and talent made our evenings so special. You’re definitely the best! We are already looking forward to returning, and we can’t wait to see everyone again. A big thank you to all the staff for making our holiday unforgettable!

We loved our holiday. The food was unbelievable. I expect the food to be dry and a bit old, but everything was fresh, and the catering staff were so professional and cared to make sure things were fresh. I am gluten-free, and there were always lots of options for me, and things were well labelled. Ending with the BBQ night was brilliant. Again, the staff made it great. The animation team was so energetic and full of life. They really made us feel special! Leon, Ace, David, Izabela, Silvia, Ana, Tania, Katy, and the one and only Nano were outstanding. We laughed every day with the team. We would come back because of how they made us feel. Just amazing. The cleanliness was also amazing. The staff were always cleaning and keeping things looking good. The reception was great. The only problem was the bar staff were so friendly and good that I had to keep going for another beer just to laugh with them.
