An Unforgettable Valentine’s Day at JW Marriott Mauritius
My partner and I have consistently chosen JW Marriott Mauritius to celebrate our special occasions, and our recent Valentine’s experience surpassed every expectation. Upon arrival, we were greeted with refreshing drinks and a personalized check-in that set the stage for an exceptional stay.
Romantic Setting and Luxury Comfort
The resort is spectacularly situated on a pristine beach with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. Even though we encountered a few minor glitches, the seamless teamwork of the housekeeping, restaurant, butler, and front office staff ensured that we felt right at home.
Culinary Delights
Our mornings began with a sumptuous breakfast buffet offering a variety of options for every palate, while the in-room Valentine’s sushi lunch was presented with refined elegance.
Activities and Relaxation
A daytime spa treatment provided a serene escape; the professional therapists and calming ambiance combined to create an experience of pure bliss.

The hallmark of our stay was the impeccable service. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and proactive in anticipating our needs, making our visit truly memorable.

This is the perfect family vacation spot. There are plenty of families with young children, though if you are looking for a quiet romantic space, this may not suit your needs best. We booked two rooms with one being directly on the beach and the other partially set back. We enjoyed morning coffee and tea delivered by our butler Shahid who was always smiling, pleasant and very prompt with service. We loved having the beach access directly from our suite. The service at the beach was also excellent and the food selection was great. The staff at the hotel was very accommodating, friendly and provided exceptional service. We were greeted by a friendly warm smile from Tarvin at our morning breakfast who always remembered our morning coffee and tea orders. The hotel did an exceptional job of the New Years celebration complete with magic, fireworks, champagne, dancing and a beautiful sunset. The food was over the top. At first we weren’t thrilled about the idea of a buffet but this was no ordinary buffet. Photos are evidence of the superb quality and presentation. The staff should be incredibly proud of the event they put on for New Year’s Eve. We’re going to miss the bartender Maitai who always said “hello” to us by name and was pleasant and engaging (always remembered our drink order too!).
With traveling, comes the risk of sickness, when my daughter fell ill, the concierge had a nurse on site who came to our room immediately. The nurse then called over a doctor, whose bedside manner, care and expertise surpassed the level of many North American physicians. The doctor (on call for the resort) helped prevent a few days of sickness from escalating.
The hotel offered a great gym with both cardio, weight and machine options.
However, I would not recommend the couples romantic spa package with the canapés and champagne, though it was the only experience at the hotel that we were disappointed by. Our family of four are grateful to have stayed at the JW Marriott for our very first experience in Mauritius

Heavenly experience was the best description of our stay at JW Marriott Mauritius. The combination of the green mountain and the white sands with the blue sea was breathtaking. It was calm and quiet with the best possible service. The suite was beautiful and spacious, and the view was stunning.
The breakfast buffet was variant and really excellent. I was really touched when i asked Christella if they had Tamarind jam, she was so kind and promised me of a special order for next day. Following morning, chef Adeesh prepared it for me. Thank you both for the extra mile of kindness. Minesha the host was very welcoming and funny.
The food at the Indian restaurant was of a Michelin star level. The combination of flavours was stunning. Chef Malek made the experience warmer by passing by tables and explaining the flavours. We could not resist how good the food was, so we went back again the following evening.
The SPA is a very important aspect of my holiday. Andrea was excellent in explaining the services and helping us to choose the best service for us. We loved the serenity space at the SPA too.
It was my birthday trip so would like to thank Bouchra and Bhavish for the birthday surprise in the room.
Before leaving, Snomi was really helpful with packing. The drive to the airport with Navieen was quite informative and smooth.
My sister and I left the resort with beautiful memories hoping to come back for a longer stay. Thank you JW Marriott, we are definitely coming back again
