Everything was perfect thanks to the Resort Manager Benoit George. We had an issue while checking in with Hena, she was rude unhelpful and told us if we didn’t like it we can leave. But thanks to Beniot he fixed everything and made our stay spectacular. Service was great everyone was great and welcoming other than hena. Sharma recommended the Indian resturant and it’s 1000/10, the best indian food i have ever eaten thanks to chef malik he is the best. The massage was even greater. Just ask for ASHA or ANDREA they r the best. Overall: Definitely I’m going again.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with refreshing drinks and a personalized check-in that set the stage for an exceptional stay. Romantic Setting and Luxury Comfort The resort is spectacularly situated on a pristine beach with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. Even though we encountered a few minor glitches, the seamless teamwork of the housekeeping, restaurant, butler, and front office staff ensured that we felt right at home. Culinary Delights Our mornings began with a sumptuous breakfast buffet offering a variety of options for every palate, while the in-room Valentine’s sushi lunch was presented with refined elegance. Activities and Relaxation A daytime spa treatment provided a serene escape; the professional therapists and calming ambiance combined to create an experience of pure bliss. Exceptional Service The hallmark of our stay was the impeccable service. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and proactive in anticipating our needs, making our visit truly memorable. Our honeymoon at JW Marriott Mauritius was truly special, thanks to the incredible hospitality of the staff and the breathtaking beauty of the island and resort. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. A special thank you to Shahid who made every day special with his thoughtfulness and impeccable butler service. The entire butler service team was also incredibly polite and responsive. At the restaurants and poolside, we were consistently met with top-tier service. Aroumel was exceptionally kind and welcoming, always greeting us with warmth and positive energy. Deverick at the Boathouse restaurant was a joy to see throughout the week, offering great service with a friendly smile. Keshav was a wonderful waiter who we really enjoyed chatting with. Vimal introduced us to Mauritian rum and taught us how to properly appreciate its flavors, which was a memorable experience. We also loved exploring different wine options with the sommeliers Yev and Natalia, who were both knowledgeable and engaging. The food at all of the restaurants was great, one of our favorites was Indya, we ate there multiple times. The chef and assistant chef came to greet us and it was a pleasure to be able to let him know how much we enjoyed our meal. Beyond the exceptional service, the resort offered many complimentary activities. Stargazing with Dr. Bhasker Desai was a fascinating experience—his passion and expertise made us really appreciate the night sky. Clyde guided us on a beautiful hike up Le Morne Brabant and helped us plan the rest of our adventures for the week. Sandrina’s Aqua Fit class was so much fun—her energy was infectious! Antish hosted a great cappuccino/latte art class. Sunset yoga was also amazing, unfortunately I forget the teacher’s name but she was lovely. Housekeeping also ensured our room was immaculate each evening. The combination of stunning surroundings and the genuine kindness of the people here made our honeymoon truly extraordinary. We’re so grateful for this unforgettable experience and hope to return one day!

We stayed at the JW Marriott Mauritius at a Junior Suite for four nights in April 2025. Let’s start with the positives: Lovi from the butler team was outstanding. She went above and beyond in organizing a thoughtful and beautiful birthday surprise that truly stood out. The beach is gorgeous, and the room itself was lovely — spacious, well-appointed, and with a view that doesn’t disappoint. Unfortunately, that’s where the tranquility ended. The resort was overrun with children — everywhere. We were shocked by how little the hotel seems to manage the balance between family-friendliness and relaxation. The entire property — including restaurants and even the gym — seemed to be a playground. Trying to enjoy a peaceful breakfast or dinner was nearly impossible, with double and triple strollers being pushed around and high chairs blocking every path and corner. The hotel mentioned a dress code for dinner, but it is not being enforced (guests in shorts and beach slippers). We used the gym once, but it was essentially taken over by children using the equipment as toys and playing on the floor. Absolutely no staff intervention. Housekeeping was another disappointment. Dirty glasses and dishes remained in our room for three days, towels were removed but not replaced, and floors went unswept. Turn-down service seemed more symbolic than functional. Walkways were constantly blocked by buggies, forcing guests to step off the narrow paths every few meters — quite annoying. Check-in was unimpressive — felt distanced, disorganized, and handled by a staff member who came across as uninterested and almost rude. The night before checkout, when we kindly asked if we could grab a quick coffee and croissant to go just before the breakfast buffet officially opened (our transfer was at 7:15 a.m. ), the answer was a flat "No. Breakfast starts at 7" No effort to solve the situation at all. In short: while this resort may have five-star potential, it delivers more of a three-star family package holiday experience — and not in a good way. If you're seeking calm, service, and luxury, this may not be the place for you.

We stayed at the JW for 2 nights in Feb 2025. Amazing layout and ground floor beach front room. Food and serve excellent. If ever get back to Mauritius this location will be a for sure stop!
