Salt of Palmar Hotel: A Heartwarming Experience
From the moment you step into Salt of Palmar, it’s clear this hotel is not just about beautiful surroundings—it’s about the people who bring it to life. What truly impressed me is how the staff leave their personal worries behind to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for every guest.
The experience begins with a gracious welcome, where smiles are not just courteous but heartfelt. From the reception staff who greet you with genuine warmth to the housekeeping team who ensure your room feels like home, every detail is handled with care and precision.
The kitchen team deserves a special mention—each dish reflects not just skill but a passion for their craft. It’s evident that the people preparing your food want every bite to be an experience.
The team at Salt of Palmar works together seamlessly to deliver hospitality that feels effortless yet exceptional. Their commitment to guest satisfaction is not just professional but deeply personal, making every stay memorable.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a hotel where the staff make all the difference. Salt of Palmar is a true gem, and its people are its greatest treasure.

Salt of Palmar: A Mixed Bag
Our stay at Salt of Palmar was a bit of a rollercoaster. While there were positive aspects, a few significant negatives tarnished the overall experience.
Positives:
* Breakfast: The breakfast (whilst only à la cart) was a highlight, offering fresh baked pastries and delicious banana bread.
* Value for Money: Considering the amenities and location, the hotel offered good value for money.
Negatives:
* Check-in and Service: We faced a 30-minute wait upon arrival and a frustratingly long wait for lunch. The food, particularly the grilled fish, was disappointing. While the staff apologized, the initial service was clearly lacking.
* Room View: The ocean view room we booked turned out to be a parking lot view.
* Cuisine: The food, while decent, leaned towards a French-inspired cuisine that didn't quite align with our expectations for an island getaway. The service, though improved after our initial complaints, still felt a bit amateurish.
Overall, Salt of Palmar has potential but needs to address its service and culinary offerings to deliver a truly memorable experience.

Just finished our third stay in this superb hotel. The rooms are great, but the food and staff are exceptional. The whole place has a calm relaxing vibe, with the staff very attentive and also very friendly. They all make a brilliant team. Chef Siva runs a fabulous operation in the kitchen and restaurant!

We had an amazing time at SALT of Palmar Hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful everywhere – you really feel welcome. The food was absolutely delicious and varied, a true highlight every day! The hotel’s intimate atmosphere is wonderful. It’s small and private and the water is simply stunning.
We were there for our honeymoon (hotel 1 of 3 in Mauritius) and booked the honeymoon package. Every activity was personal and thoughtfully arranged, and the staff always took time to make us feel good and to introduce us to the mauritian way of life.
The only small downside is the price of meals and drinks outside the package – they are very high for small portions. Additionally the neighborhood of the Hotel didn’t really have option to eat outside.
But apart from that, our stay was very good and we’d love to come back!

Enjoyable few days relaxing by the pool/sea. Took advantage of free boat trip to snorkeling area. Wind discouraged us from taking to a paddle board. Maybe next time.
Food offering changes through the week. The different cultures of the island reflected in the menu.
