Best experience I ever had at Mauritius, it was my first time traveling to Mauritius and this hotel made sure it was the most amazing experience ever!!
I love the interior and outdoor architecture of this hotel, it’s truly a vibe and it’s the most aesthetic place for the best views. Truly the pictures do not do justice as it’s even more visually pleasing in real life. My check in was really smooth, I dealt with Anastasia who was so kind and so sweet and I had the best room view! From the restaurant I dealt with Dev who was so efficient and lovely to speak with, shoutout to Dev for ensuring I was comfortable. It really feels more than 5* as the chef comes to each table during dinner to have a chat about the food and your trip.
Overall this was one the best trips I’ve been and the best hotel I’ve stayed at

Amazing hotel, could not be happier. Helped me set up my proposal and the staff were extremely thoughtful and considerate. Made a special moment very magical. Our entire stay, everyone was beyond caring and kind. The food is incredible and will leave me craving it. Can’t wait to stay at SALT again!

Salt of Palmar: A Mixed Bag
Our stay at Salt of Palmar was a bit of a rollercoaster. While there were positive aspects, a few significant negatives tarnished the overall experience.
Positives:
* Breakfast: The breakfast (whilst only à la cart) was a highlight, offering fresh baked pastries and delicious banana bread.
* Value for Money: Considering the amenities and location, the hotel offered good value for money.
Negatives:
* Check-in and Service: We faced a 30-minute wait upon arrival and a frustratingly long wait for lunch. The food, particularly the grilled fish, was disappointing. While the staff apologized, the initial service was clearly lacking.
* Room View: The ocean view room we booked turned out to be a parking lot view.
* Cuisine: The food, while decent, leaned towards a French-inspired cuisine that didn't quite align with our expectations for an island getaway. The service, though improved after our initial complaints, still felt a bit amateurish.
Overall, Salt of Palmar has potential but needs to address its service and culinary offerings to deliver a truly memorable experience.

My wife and I just finished a 4 day stay here after the end of our cruise. I travel extensively and have stayed at hundreds of hotels, but This is my new favorite! The food, the service and the views (location) are fantastic. I absolutely love it!!!
