We stayed in a family room with 2 adults and 2 children. The room is very small, barely enough space to put suitcases away. The room also constantly smells like urine so we had to buy an air freshener, but this doesn't cover the smell.
The fridge is old and rusty and smells bad inside.
One of the bedside lights is hanging off, but the maintenance team was sent to fix it after I complained.
The shower has black mould in it. When I complained, they just said "This is just how it is in Greece".
The hotel itself feels generally old, rough around the edges and grubby. The elevator was out of service for a couple of days.
The beds were hard and uncomfortable. Didn't get a single good night's sleep.
I complained about all of the above and asked for an upgrade. They said they would call me but I never heard anything from them.
The food is adequate. Lots of choice on the buffet, but the quality is lacking. The Muses restaurant offers a poor example of Greek food. You're much better off finding a local Greek tavern.
The pools are well kept and clean.
The view from the 4th floor is beautiful, you can see Turkey.
There's immediate access to the beach from the hotel grounds. It's a smooth pebble beach with some sand.
The staff are friendly enough, but some of them look very unhappy to be there, especially the bar staff. The kids entertainers are nice and friendly, but the entertainment is basic.
The drinks are fairly poor. Sometimes the punch will be made with orange juice, sometimes it's orange squash. The pool bar looks particularly dirty with rusty fridges and mouldy, wet areas.
The waterpark is good for kids. It looked safe and clean and my 9 year old enjoyed it.
Overall the hotel is disappointing and absolutely not what I would class as 4* compared to other hotels I have stayed in.

The ambiance here is always inviting and comfortable. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. And the staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Especially to Mr. Rommel Rillera I commend him for his very good service he is so dedicated. And also the food was good and great value for money. I will definitely recommend this place to the people.

Posting review right as staying at labrana blue bay
Probably like a lot of people was very concerned to book by reading bad reviews, but honestly can’t name anything negative. It’s amazing for the kids!! The pools are clean and water park is amazing. Rooms are small but cleaned daily. Staff are friendly and kids discos, clubs are good.
Right on the beach, yes it’s stones, but as soon as you go a bit deeper it’s sandy, so water shoes a must! Food is not bad, big options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My picky kids found a lot to munch on. Nice to have early breakfast in the beach restaurant the views are amazing.
So don’t be put off by negative reviews and have fun, you get what you pay for as it’s only 3+ stars but I would give a 4 definitely

A great stay in a great location that it is near to the airport for short transfer times, amazing food, rooms, service and great entertainment for the children.
Before coming we were slightly worried about some of the reviews and after our holiday we can honestly say we didn't experience any of the issues people have previously mentioned. I would recommend this hotel for a holiday to friends and family.
Be realistic with your expectations as this is a hotel for families and the majority of activities are designed for children which for us was absolutely perfect. The staff here are fantastic and friendly and the entertainers really made the holiday one to remember for the children.
If I was pushed to offer some constructive criticism I would ask for more bar staff on some of the bars - there is 3 in the evenings to choose from and 2 of them only have one person operating them which occasionally leads to slightly bigger ques than other hotels we have been at. However it is still pretty impressive how little you have to wait when there must be at least 1500 guests here.
If you have booked this hotel already and have worried when reading poor reviews like me and my partner did, then please do not change it - everyone is entitled to their opinions and ours is that this is the perfect family holiday with a fantastic water park that is managed diligently by qualified life guards. We are sad to be going home and would definitely book again.
Thank you to all for a great holiday.
