This was one of the best resorts I’ve ever visited ❤️. From the moment we arrived, the experience was incredible. They upgraded our rooms to the wellness category, which came with its own private beach view. In fact, every room in the hotel offers a stunning beach view, making the stay feel even more special.
The beaches are spotless, with soft sand and crystal-clear water—perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The resort also offers fantastic amenities, including two beaches and free activities to keep you entertained.
The food was absolutely amazing! They serve the best Italian dishes I’ve ever tried, and the breakfast menu was vast with a variety of flavorful options. If you love Indian food, you’re in for a treat! They have an Indian chef who prepares homely meals that taste just like home.
This resort is a perfect combination of luxury, relaxation, and exceptional dining. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway!

We stayed at LUX* Grand Gaube for our honeymoon, and while there were some highlights, the overall experience was a bit disappointing given the high expectations we had based on past reviews and the price we paid.
The hotel itself is beautiful, with stunning communal areas, and the food was consistently excellent. There are also plenty of activities available around the resort, so there's always something to do, which we really appreciated.
However, as a honeymoon hotel, it fell short in several areas. There were no special touches to make our stay memorable—no decorations or small gestures in the room, which left us underwhelmed. Additionally, our room had cleanliness issues, including an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, dirty towels, bedding not being changed, floor not cleaned and a fishy odor in the glass drawer.
The “honeymoon” dinner by the pool was also not what we expected. Rather than being a romantic, secluded experience, it felt like an uninspired ‘quick win’ with a very limited set menu that was not appealing. We were expecting something unique and memorable, but this felt like an afterthought.
Overall, a lot of work is needed to improve their service and attention to detail. Given the rave reviews, we were hoping for something spectacular, but sadly, our experience didn’t match the high price or expectations.

We've had the most incredible time at LUX. The staff are exceptional - they've gone out of their way to make our honeymoon so memorable. We highly recommend this resort. The food, drinks, facilities and beach are all great. We loved our day at the spa and the couple massage was perfect. This has exceeded our expectations and we'll definitely be back.

What a wonderful place!
From the minute you check in the staff make you feel very special. Everybody is so nice and helpful!
Our room was placed in the kid free area, very quiet and serene. The decorations and layout of the room, and whole hotel, is just superb and beautiful!
The food is delicious wherever you choose to eat!
We can really recommend LUX, it really lives up to it's name!

We stayed at the Grand Gaube for part of our honeymoon and were blown away by the beauty of the resort and the incredible attention to detail from all the staff. We stayed in one of the villas and so were treated with extra care and they went above and beyond given we were on the our honeymoon. They offer a very generous package to honeymooners with a spa discount, special treats in the villa, and experiences like cocktail making, all at no extra cost.
The various restaurants were fun to explore and the food (particularly the international buffet, BB's burger, and the INTI) were exceptional. The highlight though was a private romantic boat tour which took us to some of the local islands while the captain and his crew cooked us a BBQ lunch. It really was incredible! After a very hectic wedding this was the perfect way to relax, be treated, and enjoy the perfect start to married life.
One, and only one (big) reason why we're not giving 5 stars. In the middle of the week we found a termite infestation in our villa. We spent an hour or two trying to get rid of the insects before finding the source and calling the staff. As always they went above and beyond to fix the issue and did compensate us, however in a 5 star resort in one of the most expensive villas we wouldn't have expected to have such an issue.
Other than that we would highly recommend!
