We spent last week at the Occidental Jandia Playa and honestly we are all still on cloud 9 and plotting to get back as soon as possible. We stayed for a week with our 3 children. The rooms were lovely, the staff were amazing, the pool was incredible, the weather was perfect and I feel so rested from our break there. One of my children has a dairy allergy and whilst I feel the food was so good, there could definitely be a couple of adjustments the hotel could make to make dairy free alternatives available, such as a sorbet option to the ice cream selection, some ice lollies in the freezers instead of just ice creams, BUT there was many milk varieties available and when I brought this up to staff one member went out and purchased dairy free lollies personally so my son had pudding options. He was treated like royalty and we were so grateful and impressed for this treatment. We can't wait to come back. Many Thanks

We very much enjoyed our stay. Our room was very clean and we liked our room, which was located in the main building. The staff was nice and helpful. We had couple of minor issues with the room when we arrived. First one of our keycards didn't work and then the door between our room and the next room (for combining two rooms for bigger families) was unlocked. But these problems were solved right away and we were happy with the service. We enjoyed the food. Both breakfast and dinner had plenty of options and the quality was really good. Parking was easy. There were plenty of parking spots on the road side next to the hotel. We also really enjoyed the pools. Water was warm enough for us.

Highly recommended. It's a beautiful hotel. Located in a breathtaking setting. The pool is great. There are plenty of sunbeds by the pool, so it's easy to find free sunbeds during the day. The hotel is huge and has lots of nooks and corners where you can sit and relax. They have a spa, snacks bar, restaurants, gaming zones and live music nights, etc. Beach is about 5 mins walk from the hotel. Beach is endless, and it's stunning white sand beach. Being vegetarian, we were worried about the food on offer. But honestly, the food was good - quite a few options from vegan and vegetarians. Cocktails are a bit average. The room we stayed in was with a sea view, view was amazing. Rooms are decent, nothing great. The hotel is not a very new one, so the rooms and the furniture show a bit of wear and tear already. The staff was very nice and helpful. Overall we would come here again. Our experience was definitely great.

Just arrived home after 11 day stay, my husband and I enjoyed our stay and overall it’s really not that bad. Facilities are pretty good, food is varied but could do with being warmer but you certainly won’t starve as there’s plenty of options. Yes it’s true the rooms are dated but we were comfortable and it was clean. A face lift wouldn’t go amiss as it is pretty tired but it’s open all year round so to be expected. You get what you pay for and it ticked most of our boxes so overall we were satisfied.

Maybe I should start with the positives. There are lots of staff members who are very welcoming and friendly. Thank you. 😊 The rooms are cleaned daily, and thank you to the housekeeping department for making us feel comfortable. The restaurant is a bit of an issue. There were three of us, and we couldn't put the tables together. The staff was very aggressive if you tried to do that. I understand the control, but in this case, why did they let one person sit at the four-chair table? We had to walk far to the end, and the section with two seats was almost empty. I left with a very bad impression, and I was not impressed with the staff. Another issue was the game room. I ate popcorn from one of the machines and got food poisoning. Please avoid popcorn 🍿. There are no water bottles, and the reason is that they cut on plastic. This is fair; however, the Royal level had glass bottles. We couldn't upgrade to the Royal Level as we were with a child, and the Royal Level is an adult-only stay. The sister hotel has slides, but you must pay to use them. This is a bit unfair for the little people. Overall, the experience was OK, but not great.
