Can't really complain much, food and rooms were average, plenty of choice, staff is hardworking and friendly, with some exceptions from some of the reception staff, they were quite blunt. Instead Andy from reception was friendly and helpful and would like to thank him for that. Pools are nice, water was clean, rooms were not too bad but some work would be required to bring them to a 4 star status. Drinks were available all around there is sla snack bar but you always get same food and that tends to get boring. Activities are poor, hotel shop has a variety of overpriced items, but there are shops by the beach and city is not far to walk. Avoid visiting the zoo as it's a day wasted in heat and dust.

Just returned from our fourth stay at Occidental Jandia Playa Royal Level. Marianna the guest experience manager giving us excellent service as always . Rooms are spacious comfortable and clean with tea and coffee facilities and a stocked fridge. The Royal Level has seen some refurbishment to the rooms and the bar area with new furniture since our last visit giving it a more modern feel. Food and premium international drinks are excellent hence our 4th visit, the staff are so friendly and helpful and clearly enjoy working there, just want to give Maria mention for her excellent service. The pool area is spacious and quiet with plenty of comfortable sunbeds although some mattresses could do with replacing. Accessed through a card entry door there are two pools and a whirlpool , one of the pools is heated giving you plenty of options for cooling off. Some areas do need attention though as mentioned in a previous review some tiles have lifted in the sunbed area also the composite decking is looking tired and has lifted in some areas and collapsed in others making it potentially dangerous . Overall an excellent relaxing week away we will definitely be returning for a fifth visit in the future

I went here for a week at the end of August. It was a special holiday as I proposed to my partner during it. Overall it was a 5 star holiday and had many excellent aspects but room for improvement still
Pros: I booked a suite which was very spacious and had a large balcony with great views of the beach/sea. We booked adults only which was properly secluded from the rest of the hotel so was quiet. The food in the adults only buffet was really good and they had a chef at each meal cooking in front of you meat/fish. The Spa was great with friendly staff who can help organise massages. The green bar was an excellent place for post dinner drinks - compared to some of the photos it was much more modern than expected whilst still keeping some personality. Free & easy parking if you rent a car.
Cons: As I knew I was proposing during it I tried to get in contact with the hotel in advance to organise a special meal on the day of it. I had to try multiple emails and only got a delayed response after calling up asking if they could find someone to reply. After finally getting one reply and emailing back I didnt get any further responses - this caused me more stress than I needed. Once at hotel I did get the reception to book at a la carte restaurant on the evening I knew I would propose before dinner.I asked for a nice table if possible but when at the restaurant they weren't aware of it and the food here was really disappointing. The buffet restaurant was far better so we used that the rest of the time (apart from when eating outside the hotel at Morro Jable)
Overall we did love the hotel & location and would recommend staying here :)

Our second stay at Jandia Royal Level and hopefully not our last. We booked a suite (Room 344) which was nice and roomy and had a huge bathroom with twin sinks, jacuzzi bath, shower toilet and bidet. The room has the best view of the ocean and beach and looks down onto the Royal Level pool and restaurant area. What makes this hotel special is the staff and the quietness. The staff are polite and friendly and always helpful. It impressed us on our first visit and again this time. If we noticed anything slightly negative I would say the service in the restaurant wasn't as attentive as it was last year and I think it's because maybe there was one or two fewer wait staff although it did seem to improve part way through the week so maybe they had staff absent. If this had been our first visit then we probably wouldn't have noticed anything to complain about but in comparison to March 2023 it was noticeable. That aside we had no complaints. We had two very minor maintenance issues, on different days, in our room which I informed reception of, and they were both fixed before we returned to our room.
The room has a mini bar fridge with Prosecco, beer, water and soft drinks. The fridge is restocked each evening as part of the all inclusive deal. Water is also stocked daily. The tea and coffee making in the room is great. There's a Lavazza coffee pod machine and a plentiful supply of pods that get restocked daily. There's a variety of teas available too.
The bathroom has lovely bathrobes and those disposable slippers that are always too small for my size 10 feet. Plenty of towels too. Like most hotels these days they will clean your room every day and change sheets and towels if you want but you can choose to keep towel and bedding changes less frequent if you want.
We like the Royal Level because it's quiet, there's no frantic pool entertainment or games, no organised "fun" just peace and quiet and no children. You can sometimes hear the pool activities at the lower level of the hotel but around the pool it is very minimal. There's a large sun terrace for Royal Level guests along the corridor behind and left from reception. Some RL rooms open out onto the terrace, our room last year did, but it is available for Al RL guests. Last year the fridge in the bat area there was left open for us to get drinks when needed but the one time we used the terrace last week the fridge was padlocked and drinks had to be brought from the lobby bat which is a real pain. Last year there was an app available to order drink to be delivered to the sun terrace but I couldn't find it this year. The noise from the lower level pool is definitely more noticeable on the terrace than by the pool. They have had all new sun beds up there and plentiful umbrellas and the loungers in the little pool are really cool.
The restaurant is great, there's always a good selection to choose from and over eating is almost guaranteed 😁 Tea and coffee is served by staff at breakfast but there is always prosecco available with fresh orange juice. Wines, beers etc are served at lunch and dinner as well as coffee etc.
No complaints and definitely worth a stay.

Fantastic service by the hotel services they can't do enough for you. Unlike Jet2 reps. Came late Saturdy, up early doors, breakfast luvly. Made our way to reception 09.45 no sign of rep. We couldn't see anyone except Tui rep. So we went to the beach for a swim. Not happy excursion here and there may have been nice to do. No-one there to guide us until Thursday in week. I won't say what wife said.
