Great location the most beautiful beach and ocean. Rooms very spacious and clean, had a balcony with king size bed. Food was great, staff very friendly and professional. Huge shout out to Alex who was our waiter our whole trip on the preferred beach side, he never let our cups be empty! Would definitely recommend this place!

Dreams Sands has one of if not the best beach in Cancun. You can walk out 200 yards/meters and the water is only waste high. Great for kids as the waves that roll in are small and gentle. Everything here is first come first serve as such the restaurants and chairs on the beach. Getting towels here is no issue. You can have as many as you need as well. There are 6 different restaurants with different themes and one of which is buffet style. I highly recommend for families. It's good for couples as well. We did a romantic dinner on the beach for an extra charge and I can say it was worth the experience to cross off the bucket list as a one time treat.

We stayed at Dream Sands Resort for a week, and while the location and staff were great, the overall experience had some drawbacks.
The resort is in a fantastic location with beautiful beachfront views.
The staff was friendly and accommodating, always trying their best to assist guests.
Areas for Improvement:
The room needed renovation; the bathtub was blocked and wouldn’t drain. The fixtures were old and not well-maintained.
Food quality and taste were underwhelming, except for the steakhouse, which was quite good. However, portion sizes were small.
During peak hours (7:00–9:30 PM), restaurants were overcrowded.
There were not enough beach beds or seating, making it difficult to relax comfortably.
Overall, while the location and service were positives, the resort needs improvements in its facilities, dining experience, and guest capacity management.

In November 2024, my wife, sons, and two sisters and I visited this location for five nights, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The food was excellent, particularly the hibachi, steak, and Italian restaurants. The staff were incredibly kind; Alejandro, in particular, provided exceptional poolside service each day with a welcoming smile, and his dedication was evident. The ladies who cared for our children were wonderful, providing engaging playtime and craft activities. We appreciated the nightly entertainment and found both the pools and the pristine beach to be delightful. We had no complaints during our stay. However, should we return, we would likely limit our stay to three nights at most, as we felt ready to explore other locations after the fourth day. Definitely a great place to stay!

Needless rules everywhere. You can’t wear a tank top to the buffet that is literally on the beach. You can’t wear sandals to restaurants. The food is okay. The cuts of meat are always chewy and full of cartilage/bone. The drinks are watered down and made with fake juices. The decor is outdated and full of wall to wall tile making it incredibly loud no matter where you are in the entire resort. The employees randomly shut umbrellas on you IN THE RAIN. There was sand in my bed before I even got in it. The bathroom reeked of mildew and mold. The shower pressure was abysmal and the shower head was disgusting and calcified all over. The room service was alright, but their sad excuse for lemonade and other drinks was abysmal. Overall just a waste of money. It is beautiful on the beach though, and majority of the employees were incredibly friendly. The only real plus of the whole experience was the amazing view from my hotel room. However other members of our group had the view of a side of a building. So take even that with a grain of salt.
Edit: As the trip went on the food got worse. Pathetic portions, and the presentation is trying so hard to be “fancy” but falls flat in every single aspect. The calamari was chewy, gross and reminded me of gum. If gum tasted like fish. The service is INCREDIBLY slow at the restaurants, though they are friendly. Our table had half of the members get, and finish their appetizers. Then get their entree before the other members even got their appetizers. The entrees are never taken out at the same time, so your table will be almost done eating while one person is still waiting on their meal. It’s just a sad experience for so much money.
