Subject: Disappointing Stay at Pyramid Grand Oasis - Urgent Improvements Needed
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your property.
The check-in process was incredibly poor. The front desk manager was rude and unhelpful, making what should have been a simple check-in unnecessarily difficult. After flying from the United States and taking five vacation days, my family and I were left with very few options. We spent over two hours trying to check in and had to ask multiple times to extend our stay, but received no assistance. When we approached the VIP pyramid desk for help, we were completely ignored. Moreover, when requesting a contact number for reservations, we were told that no numbers were available.
In addition to the frustrating service, the condition of the room was unacceptable. The toilet in our room did not flush (4474-S) and continued to run all night. While it was eventually repaired, it remained noisy, disturbing our rest. The air conditioning unit was outdated and excessively loud. The shower was poorly designed, spraying water everywhere, and the drain was clogged, making it a frustrating experience. To top it off, the room had a strong, unpleasant mildew smell.
We were also disturbed by the noise coming from a connecting room, where a large party of youth was playing loud music and engaging in inappropriate activities on the patio. This continued late into the night, preventing us from getting any rest. Additionally, no one informed us in advance that we would be placed in a connecting room with such a group.
Given these numerous issues, I strongly recommend the following improvements:
Management and Customer Service: The front desk and management staff need significant retraining. It is unacceptable to treat guests with such disrespect, especially after traveling long distances.
Room Upgrades and Maintenance: The rooms are outdated and in need of renovation. Toilets, fixtures, and air conditioning units should be checked and replaced if necessary. Toilets and showers should be fully functional before guests check in.
Guest Assignments: Families should not be placed in connecting rooms with large, disruptive groups. This creates a highly uncomfortable experience for those seeking a peaceful stay.
Room Inspections: Regular checks should be conducted for mold, mildew, and moisture buildup in rooms. Additionally, cleaning staff should ensure that all fixtures are in proper working order before guest check-in.
Integrity and Transparency: Please honor your advertised rates, especially for international travelers, and ensure your promotions are accurate and clearly communicated.
We were fortunate to spend our last night at the nearby Wyndham, where we were treated with the respect and service we had expected at the Pyramid Grand Oasis. This experience has left us disappointed and shocked by the poor experience.
I hope this feedback will prompt the necessary improvements to ensure a better experience for future guests.

Spent 6 nights at this gorgeous resort! Staff was absolutely amazing. The pools sparkled and the grounds were lavishly green! All areas of the resort were well kept and very clean! Night shows were overly entertaining! I highly recommend this resort to anyone traveling to Cancun. I will definitely be back.

My all time favorite vacation stay. The staff was fantastic. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was fantastic. My only 2 complaints..#1 Some college kids started coming and acting rowdy. Luckily it was 2 days before we left so it didn't affect our fun. #2 watch the vendors on the beach. All were nice and respectful but half were selling drugs.
Other then that I felt completely safe. Very strong police presence everywhere

We booked at Sian Ka'an which is supposed to be adults only all inclusive, but operates out of the pyramid where it seems all other resorts operate out of (very strange). There are children all over the resort, and we are not sure what the adult portion is supposed to be?
The room was fine but bathtub was stained and cracked. Overall property is dated and in need of a deep clean.
We stayed in the main pyramid building and the noise was so loud all night from partying we could barely sleep. The main building has a night club and atrium and the sound carries up to the rooms.
Staff were rude, we asked for a cold area to sit as we were feeling unwell from the heat, and had eyes rolled at us and were told we could sit in the corner where we had checked in. Additionally, it seems that not much is included in the all inclusive and restaurants have additional charges? Except for the buffet and an Italian option.
Pool chairs were nonexistent if you didn't put a towel down by 8 am.
Thankfully we only stayed here for one night (which was planned) but we would not return.

Below is a respectful and professional 2-star review for The Pyramid Cancún based on your experience:

**2-Star Review: Disappointing Experience at The Pyramid Cancún**
We were disappointed with our stay at The Pyramid Cancún due to several issues with the services and property. Pool seating was challenging, with some guests being disrespectful and taking seating with no one around .,
the paid upgrade bracelets offered minimal benefits, granting access to only one buffet. The lines for food were excessively long, and the bathrooms were not very clean, though this seemed due to the high volume of guests.
Our initial room was below expectations, requiring an upgrade. After upgrading, we were pleased with the new room. The staff worked extremely hard and were happy to accommodate us to the best of their abilities, which we appreciated. However, it seems the resort is overcrowded, and the amenities and infrastructure struggle to accommodate the number of guests. This impacted our overall experience significantly.
