Had 10 days at this great hotel, staff were brilliant, we got upgraded after the first night to a bungalow after the couple next door made such a racket. This was our third time to Kamala but first at the Princess. Would really recommend the hotel, although renovations started on the main pool as we left. The resort looked a bit run down compared to the last time (10 years ago though) but beach is fabulous, great food and service. Thank you Princess!

we wanted to experience different parts of Thailand and came across this hotel on hotels.com We fell for the pictures and booked. were a little skeptical when we read some bad feedback.... but we can't understand where these come from!? our experience is a fantastic hotel, in a lush environment that creates a jungle atmosphere. something that is completely unique from what we have experienced before. the reception is majestic and you feel like you are entering a luxurious hotel. the pools are clean, beautiful and inviting! you want to swim and cool down! the breakfast buffets are varied and you can actually see the beach. we were upgraded to a bungalow and were very happy. the shower pressure is the best of all the hotels we have experienced in Thailand. they have Kamela's best iced coffee in the cafe right outside the hotel. don't forget the beach towel rental. if i ever go back to thailand, i will definitely choose this hotel! in the middle of the city, close to the beach, jungle feel, a big yes from us!!!!

We recently stayed at Princess Kamala Beachfront Hotel, and while it has potential and the location is great, it definitely does NOT feel like a 5-star hotel. We were placed in a small « cottage » in the middle of the jungle, which was nothing like what we booked. The room was big but old and there were dirty spots on the bedding. On our first night, we found bugs and multiple mosquitoes 🦟 . On top of that, there was a strong sewer smell from the bathroom 🤢, and no safety latch on the door, which made us feel unsafe and led to a sleepless night. The next morning, we requested a room change and specifically asked to be moved to the main building (if possible), but instead, we were given a slightly larger version of the same cottage. While the bathroom smell was gone, the lack of a safety latch remained an issue. That being said, the pool is big and enjoyable, with a pool bar and music adding a nice touch. However, many tiles are broken in the pool, making it easy to cut yourself if you’re not careful. The staff is friendly, and the hotel itself has beautiful architecture and lots of greenery, but it’s not well-maintained and feels outdated. Also it’s close to the beach but not really beachfront as you have to cross the road and a little bridge to get to the beach. In reality, this looks and feels more like a 3-star hotel, 4-star max (especially the rooms), we were disappointed as we expected the luxury of a true 5-star experience. I would give a higher rating if it wasn’t advertised as a 5-star but this almost feels like false advertising 😠.

We had for 9 nights a Junior Villa room with all-inclusive to celebrate our honeymoon and our staying was great. Villas are more secluded than normal rooms, they come with more space between each other, they have a pleasant balcony and view on the green and vegetation that is inside the hotel. Kamala beach is right across the street and in its Northern end is possible also to do some snorkeling. Staff was absolutely great, they are friendly and super positive in attitude and smiling. They get all my gratitude and respect. Menu for all-inclusive was reduced compared to normal one but still food was pleasant for lunch and supper and the breakfast was so inclusive to make happy everyone. In general I strongly reccomend this place and I already miss it! :)

This doesn't feel like a 5 star hotel at all. The problem comes from the rooms. Either we didn't get the room we payed for or the pictures are fake. When booking superior deluxe room, if you are lucky you get to stay in the apartment that are shown on the pictures, if you are not lucky, you end up in the little housings in the middle of the garden and be ready to see some bugs. It seems like those little house are called Junior garden villa on their website and this is what we got. Those room are more expensive then what we booked but seems to be less modern and more authentic and this is not what we booked. Other than the room, everything was fine, the pool is clean, warm and big (a lot of tiles are missing and it's easy to cut yourself though). The staff and the location are great (This is not a beachfront though)
