I had a great stay there. Rooms were clean and the maid service was great. If i had one negative thing to say about it, it would be the main entrance. The people at the main entrance are not very helpful. They are not engaging at all, and don't explain that the lobby is on the second floor. You feel like you've walked into the wrong entrance from their lack of interaction. You have to pull the information out of them. It was a very awkward experience at first. I had even walked back out the first time, thinking I had entered a rear entrance or something lol. Once I realized there wasn't another entrance I went back and questioned the staff member, and I had to narrow my questions down to get the exact answer I needed. "The lobby is on the second floor.". The rest of my stay, they were oblivious to who walked in and out and I seen the same confused looks on other guests trying to check in.

Awesome stay at the Residence Inn Downtown Manhattan! The location is perfect, right by the World Trade Center and subway stations. Rooms are clean, spacious, and come with a full kitchen, which was super convenient. Staff were incredibly friendly (especially front desk), and the free breakfast was a great bonus. Perfect for both short stays and longer visits. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed at the Residence Inn Downtown and had a mixed experience. The breakfast was definitely the highlight—great variety and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the room itself fell short. The bathroom was dirty when we arrived, and it was clear the toilet had been heavily used and not cleaned beforehand. The view was nonexistent, and the bed sheets were so thin that we had to turn the heat up to 25–26°C just to stay warm. Also worth noting: the hotel charges an extra $25 per night for “amenities”, which seems odd—shouldn’t that be built into the price already? Lastly, the elevators were painfully slow. We regularly waited 5+ minutes just to get up or down. Definitely not ideal when you’re on a schedule. Wouldn’t stay here again unless some improvements are made.

My partner and I stayed at the Residence Inn for 3 nights earlier this week, and our experience from check-in to check-out was excellent. The front desk staff were kind, courteous, and professional, making us feel welcome right away. The breakfast setup was impressive, with a wide variety of options to suit all preferences—even for kids. The hotel is also in a fantastic location—central to key attractions and just steps away from the subway, making it easy to get around the city. Highly recommend!

Location Quite good - you can walk to Broadway and Joe's Pizza is two blocks away - allowing you to fulfil a NYC tourist tradition easily. Staff We were unfortunate to encounter Naomi - a denizen of hell at the front desk. My son wears hearing aids as he has severe hearing loss, due to this, he may not notice things as fast as other kids and is jumpy. We also arrived quite late at night so he was tired. Naomi took one look at him and us, didn't like what she saw and put us in the darkest, most horrible room next to the service rooms on the lower floors. The centre of the hotel looks out at a dark, dank courtyard. It was a depressing stay for us. Front office staff should not judge families by their looks or their disabilities.
