The rumours are true, you will not be allowed to dine in the evening if you are wearing shorts, even if they are smart. We were quite rudely interrupted during our first evening meal by Diego telling us that I can't wear shorts and then taking our room number down as to somehow report us. He was then staring at me and chatting to other staff about the situation which made us feel so uncomfortable we went and complained to reception about this. To be honest the service we had from anyone on reception was great and we even ended up speaking to one of the managers about it although she did advise me to buy some trousers. I would understand if the rule made sense but it is sexist and inconvenient for everyone, whilst the women are walking around in short shorts at meal times. Literally all the men would put trousers on for dinner and then go and get changed back into shorts for the evening. We asked to go to the neighbouring hotel (SBH Monica) for evening meals and thank god we did as it was way better than anything we saw from the Crystal beach buffet, although the breakfast meals we quite enjoyed.
The hotel is tired, old and is too big for its own good. Large open spaces with nothing going on, restaurant is in the basement, entertainment was mediocre at best, no snack bar during the day near the pool, the pool was also so freezing you had to wait until the afternoon for it to heat up in the sun. The only good thing was that it was quiet and always room for a sunbed.
The rooms were dated, the shower kept going hot and cold when using it and it wasn't very powerful...army of ants in the bathroom which kept appearing all week and the air conditioning was pretty much useless as we had to open the balcony doors to cool it down during the night.
The hotel was full of older couples and seemed to be dominated by germans, which isn't a bad thing. The hotel was literally on the beach and we enjoyed strolling up and down and occasionally going for lunch at the beach bar. Seemed to be a base for people who like water sports, cycling, hiking etc. We usually aren't hard to please at all but we definitely wouldn't return to this one.

I have absolutely no words to describe the wonderful experience I had at SBH crystal in Fuerteventura! From the moment I arrived, the sweet and caring Jorje director of reception took his time to explain to me everything about the hotel. Katia at reception was lovely as well, always smiling and ready to help. They were genuinely the nicest people!
The room was spacious, extremely clean after daily beach and sand trips, and very comfortable.
The hotel is literally 2 minutes walk to the beach (it even has its own sun lounges in the sand).
The breakfast was very tasteful with lots of choices and again, smiling employees.
SBH Crystal made my stay in fuerteventura unforgettable and I am definitely coming back again!

Tea and coffee sachets in room are charged and no milk cartons available you have to find milk at the shop .no indoor heated pool as advertised and jacuzzi was broken ,spa treatments
are same price as uk so expensive . Adults only hotel for peace but a hotel next door that has children very noisy till 1 am . Don't expect to learn much Spanish it's 80 % German customers here . Aqua aerobics and evening entertainment good .

I had a lovely stay at this hotel over the past few days. My room was spacious and really nice with beautiful views overlooking the pool, ocean and the sandy beach. Staff we're very accomodating and helpful, and overall I had a lovely experience. The pool area and sun loungers zones are also very nice.

My stay at the Hotel SBH Crystal Beach Hotel & Suites was mixed. Let's start with the food - unfortunately, it was not particularly impressive. The selection was good, but the quality left something to be desired. However, the local cuisine, when available, was surprisingly good and offered a glimpse into the culinary delights of the region.
The dining room inside the building also left much to be desired. The atmosphere was not very inviting, and the ambiance was not particularly appealing.
On the other hand, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They were always ready to help and contributed to making my stay more enjoyable.
As for the accommodation itself, the Hotel SBH Crystal Beach Hotel & Suites is definitely showing its age. It is a Grani-Hotel that has lost its shine and is in need of renovation.
Overall, I would say that the Hotel SBH Crystal Beach Hotel & Suites could be an acceptable choice for travelers looking for a simple and quiet stay without too many expectations.
