We visited Shanti a year ago, yet this time felt different, in a good way, for some reason. Every single staff member was were very friendly and accommodating to our requests. We felt very welcomed and relaxed. The breakfast was outstanding and staff attentive. It’s a small hotel with a warm feeling. This time we didn’t manage to benefit from the Ayurvedic treatments, will love to next time.

A Mixed Bag: Luxurious Amenities, Subpar Service
Shanti offers a delightful blend of luxury and relaxation, with a few notable drawbacks.
Positives:
* Breakfast Buffet: The breakfast buffet is a true highlight, offering a wide variety of delicious options. The generous portions and fresh ingredients make it a great way to start the day.
* Beach: The beach is pristine and well-maintained, providing a serene setting for sunbathing and swimming.
* Room: The rooms are spacious and comfortable, offering ample space to unwind after a day of exploring.
* Spa: The spa offers a range of rejuvenating treatments, including a fantastic massage that left us feeling refreshed and revitalized.
Negatives:
* Service: The service at the hotel is inconsistent and often slow. The staff seems inexperienced and lacks the attention to detail expected from a high-end resort.
* Food: While the food is generally good, it doesn't quite live up to the standards of a 5-star establishment.
* Privacy: The intrusive nature of some staff members, inquiring about guests' whereabouts, can be unsettling and detract from the overall experience.
Overall:
Shanti has the potential to be an exceptional resort, but its shortcomings in service and food quality hinder its ability to deliver a truly five-star experience. If you're looking for a luxurious getaway with excellent amenities, this hotel may be a good option, but be prepared for some service inconsistencies.
Tips for Future Guests:
* Be patient with the service staff.
* Consider dining off-site for a more refined culinary experience.

We stayed at the hotel with my wife for a week in a Sunset Villa with a pool, during which we also held our wedding, and the hotel was excellent. In addition to the beautiful facilities, we greatly appreciated the personal approach from both the sales manager and the general manager, who checked in with us several times during our stay to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. The wedding itself was absolutely wonderful, just as we had envisioned. I definitely recommend this hotel.

This was our second visit to Shanti Maurice, and it once again delivered a memorable experience. The hotel is located in the south of Mauritius, away from busy areas, providing a serene and private atmosphere. With no neighboring hotels, the resort feels like a secluded paradise, and it never gets crowded. The beach setup is particularly wonderful—sunbeds are spread out, ensuring you always have space to relax without feeling cramped.
The kids’ club is a highlight of the resort. Our little boy loved spending time there, which gave us the opportunity to unwind and recharge—a big plus for families.
The rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you might need. While they are functional and comfortable, they could benefit from a makeover as some elements feel a bit dated. During our stay, we encountered an issue with a damp smell and a few cockroaches in the room. However, the staff handled it swiftly and professionally, relocating us to a beachfront suite for the remainder of our stay—a perfect resolution.
Speaking of the staff, they are truly the heart of this resort. From housekeeping to management, everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and eager to help. Their genuine hospitality made our stay even more special. We could name names, but it would honestly include every staff member we encountered.
The only area for improvement would be the food diversity. Over our 11-day stay, the options became a bit repetitive, and the flavors could use more vibrancy. While the meals were still enjoyable, a bit more variety would enhance the experience—though this might be considered nitpicking on an otherwise high standard.
Overall, Shanti Maurice is an excellent choice for both families with children and couples looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway. We highly recommend it for anyone seeking a relaxing and memorable holiday in Mauritius.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Shanti Maurice, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience!
Room: The accommodations were nothing short of exquisite. My suite was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered stunning views of the ocean. Every moment spent in the room felt like a slice of paradise.
Service: The service at Shanti Maurice was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every need was met with warmth and efficiency. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service at the restaurants, I felt truly pampered throughout my stay.
Location: The location of the resort is simply breathtaking. Nestled along a pristine stretch of beach and surrounded by lush gardens, it’s a true sanctuary, making it the perfect base for both relaxation and adventure.
I strongly recommend Shanti Maurice to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway in Mauritius. Looking forward to returning soon!
