This is a first impressions review which I have never done before but felt the need to. I usually wait till end of stay to write a summary. We have been hotel hopping around in Dubai and the service in this hotel was subpar compared to others. Was told that the outdoor pool would be closed by 5pm for a private event. When asked if we could be compensated for this as we wanted to use the amenities in the evening as we paid for it (room rates definitely not cheap!) , their solution was for me to take all my swimming stuff and go to another hotel which is a 10min walk..thought they were having a laugh! Some of the staff definitely need training on customer service as this was touch and go with some being super nice and others just awkward. Update during and after stay - Other than this the stay was lovely and the hotel is absolutely beautiful! The reception allowed us an early check in with a room with fantastic city views! Love the fact that you can go straight into the Wafi mall from the hotel without needing to get out! The breakfast is not as extensive as other luxury hotels but whatever was served was very high quality and healthy. We appreciated the hotel arranging a complimentary taxi for us to the airport to compensate for the challenges we faced with the hotel.

Visited Bijou Patisseries at the lobby for an afternoon tea and the service was excellent. From the staff at the valet parking to the patisseries at the lobby, they are so attentive and well trained. Valet parking is available for those who come for any services here and no limited timing just make sure you ask them to validate to avoid any charges. The interior is gorgeous from the entrance to the inside. We had a perfect afternoon tea with the variety of sweets and savory. And the way they deliver the afternoon tea box to your table is so amazing. The price for two is so reasonable compared to other luxury afternoon tea in dubai. Definitely recommend it to others to come and give it a try here.

My Mum and I truly had an incredible stay here. I absolutely recommended this hotel. The decor is beautiful, rooms are incredibly spacious and the location is also decent. What really makes this place special is the staff, especially the Front Desk staff. They are some of the friendliest, most welcoming and helpful staff I have experienced during my many travels across the world. They truly make the hotel special, and are a joy to return to after a long day of exploring Dubai. We were checked in by Sandra who was nothing short of excellent! Also a special shout out to Charles from Burundi, who was so helpful and always welcomes us with a smile. Thank you also to Jamie! Though there were a few issues with our first room, when we reported them they were handled. We did get a little frustrated, however the hotel remedied things so quickly and went out of their way to make sure the rest of our stay was perfect…it truly was. Thank you so much to the Sofitel The Obelisk team! We will definitely be back 🤍

Unforgettable 5-star hotel experience. There was an Amazing view from the room when you look outside. Sonu went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. From the warm welcome at La Veranda to the attentive service throughout my breakfast, I felt well taken care of. The breakfast was very good, the variety was great. Nothing here will disappoint. Truly a destination one who appreciates finer hotels must visit.

Staying at this hotel at the moment for our second 2 week stay and it never disappoints. The staff treat you like family the club lounge staff are amazing. They have gone out of their way for us again this year. They have even taken the time to present us with a personal gift. Something i have never experienced at any hotel. All the room service is so good. The swift and pleasant service is very much appreciated. Shohag from housekeeping was very friendly and provided a quick replenishment of our tea.
