great experience and would definitely recommend. hotel was better than expected given it was the cheapest one. great location and easy transportation using the shuttle for both theme park and airport pick up/drop off. very close to Universal theme park and very prompt. loved that there was a desk to help with universal tickets and before going to the park and that i was able to get my passes at the hotel. food offered was good as well and everyone was friendly. walls were a little thin in room but it wasn't that noisy and everything was clean with beautiful views

We stayed 4 days for our Anniversary! The hotel and rooms were very clean. The staff from the time we checked in until we left was so friendly! We loved the food court! The blueberry pancakes and pizza were my favorite. We loved that we could park our car and ride the bus to the park. We waited maybe 10 minutes for the bus going and returning. We are planning another trip in July when Epic world opens. Great hotel for the price.

We had a fantastic time during Thanksgiving! The rooms are great. The pool was nice. The food was incredible everywhere we went and the staff at the park and the hotel were very polite and kind and helpful. The only thing I would change about the experience is extra towels and washcloths for the rooms and cheaper drink prices. The refillable cups were available, but the average price for a soft drink at any restaurant is two bucks and I think the refillable cups were about $15 each. I just personally think the drinks should be cheaper. But other than that, we had a fantastic time.

The hotel overall was nice. It was convenient to Universal, the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was updated and you were able to select how often you wanted you room refreshed. The only complaint about the Dockside is the food was terrible for the price you paid. The first night we ate there thinking it would be cheaper than eating at the park. It wasn't and the food was old and dry for $26/ person. Also the walls and floors are thin. Could hear our neighbors all around us. Annoying at night when you are trying to sleep and they are partying. Would stay here again only for the convenience to Universal park.

We spent an hour going up to the room and back to the lobby 3 times trying to get keys that worked. I booked 2 room for our family and out of the 4 adults and 4 kids, only 1 key per room ended up working, which is where we gave up. At least we got into the rooms. At first, 2 of the keys worked for only 1 room and none for the other. After getting to the hotel after spending the day in the parks, we told the kids they could swim. We had no idea it would only be for 20 minutes because it took over an hour to get into the other room. If you’re a blanket person, like I am, don’t leave home without one. Neither of our rooms had blankets, only sheets on the bed. It’s Florida, so I guess that’s the standard, but lat time we stayed at the sapphire bay, and it was significantly nicer. The suites are large though. Bigger than we except and the cafe is nicer than the Sapphire’s. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you can afford not to.
