Would definitely stay here again and recommend. If you’re looking for a 5 star resort pampering to every whim with top of the line facilities at every corner, you might be a little disappointed. However we felt it was perfect for us. Smaller. Quaint. Clean and kept up well. Had everything we needed. Excellent location. Very safe. Good entertainment. Friendly staff overall. Food was not spectacular but good. Drinks were great and free flowing (loved the coffee bar). Beautiful views with one of the best beaches right next door. Loved the whole experience and will probably stay here next time we go to Barbados.

The only complaint I have is that I couldn't stay longer. It's not a 5 star elegant hotel but it is a great boutique hotel that allows you to enjoy being taken care of

Amazing experience, upon arrival all staff were incredibly welcoming and professional, room was a amazing, cleaned every day with fresh bedding and towels, pool area was well maintained and food was wonderful. Bar staff were very attentive remembering all staff and recommending new drinks. Water sport stafvery helping giving lessons and advice. Definitely retuning😊

Vinny and Kareen at the bar were amazing! Kareen made sure to ask for our names and always greeted us with a warm hello! The people at water sports area were great - especially Brian! We booked scuba diving, catamaran and jet skis through him. He was off hours on one of the days and ensured our plans went ahead. The food at the resort isn't the best. During dinner it is common to wait for food (appetizers, soup, entree and dessert) for over 2 hours. The wait staff isn't the friendly and the most attentive. The beach is nice but it isn't the typical sand walk into the water but rather beach chairs and a rock wall overlooking the water.

Sharad from water sports is totally outstanding! He is fantastic at creating the perfect nautical adventure for guests. The entire staff is so friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. The general manager is also very lovely. Be sure to book your stay. It’s a slice of paradise. The culinary team is world class. Barbados is a gem.

Lots of goods and lots of bads —- We spent a week at the Colony Club Hotel in April 2024. It was a lovely week and we had a good time. There were lots of negatives and lots of positives! One disaster is how unfriendly the staff are. With a handful of exceptions of nice staff, the majority of the rest were somewhere between ignorant and almost harshly unfriendly. Even when you approached the staff with a bright smile and "good morning", there was usually no warm or friendly response. We have never felt so unwelcome anywhere. And it wasn't just us who were treated so rudely, but all the guests. I found two small birds kept in a barren cage next to the restaurant very unkind. This is good for nothing and terrible to look at! The hotel is getting on in years, but is expected to be renovated from the end of April 2024. The fantastic beach deserves a special mention! Unbeatably beautiful! The free water sports facilities are also great! The quality of the live music in the evenings (which changed daily) was excellent and provided a wonderful atmosphere during the very good food. The lush green gardens are just as beautiful. So the possibilities are there!!! Probably being renovated now too... now if they could just find nice and friendly staff it could be great.

Our experience here was not a good one. First the good points: we got into our room earlier than check in - some of the employees were very friendly - the views were very pretty - we had an amazing taxi driver who we were able to call upon a few times - our maid was wonderful and very thoughtful!! The very wrong issues: 1. This building is not being kept up to a standard that matches the price you are charged. The outside of the buildings have rotted wood and black moldy stains. 2. The main pool was under construction ( they offer you some hotel credits for food etc.) once they finished the construction part of the pool they then started filling up this huge deep pool which meant we had little water pressure. It was not fun having to shower with such little water pressure. 3. The bathtub is very aged. The bathtub faucet was not working correctly - it was very difficult to change the water from bath to shower. 4. Room service would take too long to get ur order and then deliver it to ur room. 5. The television would not work at times. We had a remote that didn’t even have a back to it. The batteries were taped to keep them in. 6 The food was below average yet priced high. So maybe it was timing but I will not be going back nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Very friendly staff and good service. The beach is lovely with an excellent swimming area with good snorkelling right off the beach in a safety buoyed area. The beach is tree lined as well which is good for shade as well the usual beds and sunshades. Don’t worry if you don’t get a sea view room. All the rooms look into very lovely luxuriant tropical garden. Breakfast buffet was good though not so much choice if you are vegetarian (lots of eggs!). Drinks are on the higher end for Barbados.

With great thanks to all the staff from the kitchen, waitresses,waiters and reception. We cannot mention them all by name but special notes for Brian , John and Monica who catered for our every need. Just got back from the Colony Club. This was our second trip there and enjoyed it just as much. Although the main pool was closed for maintenance there were others to chose from. The food was very, very good and the room was spotless. The staff here really made you feel like part of the family so it was hard to leave. We will be back sooner rather than later!

Awful hotel!! Due to stay here for 4 nights but checked out after 1. Would have checked out the same day if we hadn't been travelling 9 hours to get there. This hotel is one of the worst I've stayed at and believe me invested in a lot of hotels.it is definitely not a 4-star hotel. The rooms are outdated,verging on dirty. Our bathroom had mould and the toilet didn't flush. All the staff were avoid of smiling and some came across rude. Everything seemed an effort. The food was abysmal.A real lack of choice and quality. The evening buffet was horrific.got to the point I didn't bother eating and my wife left most of hers.breakfast was no better. Checking in was another disaster.no warm welcome and a real poor first impression.the whole experience was terrible. When checking out 3 dats early after explaining why I did not even receive any type of apology at all.Absolutely shocking! I strongly advise staying somewhere else and don't waste your hard earned money on this place

The resort is in a nice location. The views are beautiful. Our room was ok, and the bed wasn’t bad. The bathroom was also fine. The fridge was rarely stocked and it was a struggle to get water bottles. We had to repeatedly go to the nearby coffee shop to get small bottles are water and bring it back to our room. There are two restaurants. One is open for a breakfast buffet and also opened for a sit down dinner. The other restaurant is only open during lunch time and is a buffet. The food during breakfast and lunch was fine. However the food for dinner was not impressive. The portions were very small. I ordered a steak one night with shrimp and was extremely surprised about how small it was and how there was only four small shrimp with it. The beach is beautiful. There are two separate areas on a large beach where you can sit with some nice chairs that have shade. There is only a small area where you can swim without hitting the rocks. There are water sports that are also free. We went kayaking and had a blast and also went tubing which was very fun. The pools are nice and the cave bar was a cool spot. We had a great time, but there is room for improvement.

We stayed at Crystal Cove for 7 nights during new year's. While the staff is very friendly and helpful, the resort is RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED, dated, and needs a lot of TLC. It is definitely NOT a 4 star hotel, the rooms that arw not renovated are horrible (motel quality). I would not recommend going there, we were very disappointed of this place. Marriott brand suffered a big hit with is here. See full story at the bottom. What we loved: • Friendly staff, very helpful. • The beach and the ocean water are amazing • weather was great • The resort is small, so it never felt crowded What we didn't like: • The resort is very dated, everything is old and maitenance is not good. • Staff is understaffed and overworked • only 2 pools, both are small • Food is not good. Variety is slim and quality is low. My kids did not have a lot of options, but the staff was always happy to make something they liked (like spaghetti) • Everything feels like it is measured and many times stuff is out: sandwiches run out, towels in the pool, beads and strings in the kids club. Doesn't feel good, especially for the rate this hotel charges. • Kids club looks old and worn out. But my kids enjoyed going there and do crafts • Some rooms have been renovated at some point, so they are reasonable. The others are horrible, I wouldn't pay a dollar to stay in one of those. • Loud music almost every night. If your room is near the speakers (like ours was), you will have a hard time getting your kids to sleep until the music stops (10:30 and even 11pm sometimes). Our full story: We arrived on 12/30/2024. The resort is about 40 minutes drive from the airport. The front desk notified us that the room we booked (ocean view 1 bedroom suite) is not available (due to "maintenance issues") and we'll have to stay in connecting rooms (garden view) for the first night. The rooms were small, old, poorly maintained. The bathroom was dirty and disgusting, my daughter scolded her hand when she touched the hot water valve in the shower because the valve leaked. The second day the manager took me to see our ocean view suite. This one was in better condition, it was renovated at some point in the past. But it looked small, so I said that from what I remember, there are 2 rooms in the suite. The manager then said this is a "junior suite", and that they don't have the oceanview 1 bedroom suite available until 1/3. He said he has a garden view 1 bedroom suite, we went to see it, but it was basically the same connecting rooms we stayed in, old and disgusting. We decided to take the junior suite, although it was small and pretty crowded for us. We did not get the room we booked for the entire stay (the manager did refund our stay based on the smaller room rate, but there was no additional compensation for their mishandling). 12/31, new year's eve, loud music from the main plaza until 1am(!!!). Our room shook because of the bass. I called the feont desk several times during the night to turn the volume down, but nothing helped. It was horrible, kids couldn't go to sleep. Reminder: this place considers itself "kids friendly". Music continued almost every night, at least until 10:30pm, one time until 11pm. Food: there are 2 restaurants, most nights only one operates, and you have to book in the morning for the time you want. Food was ok, not great or something to look forward to, some dishes were fine, some were not. Not a lot of options, for the kids too. Overall I would not say the food was good, but it was not terrible neither. There is a coffee place that is opened all day until 11pm, coffee is pretty good and service is quick. They also have sandwiches there but only 4 options, and many times sandwiches ran out, so you have to come back later when they restock. Bar: one bar, variety is not great, and quality is low. Final thoughts: We came for the great weather and the beach, and it was meeting our expectations. The resort, however, did not. The lovely staff made the stay better, but could not remedy the poor quality of the facility, especially for what they charge for it

I visited Barbados for the first time in September 2023 with my mum, it was her second visit to the island. We had an amazing time. We received a surprise room upgrade to a sea view room when we checked in. We were greeted with punch and the staff were very friendly from the first moment. Special shoutout to Terence who took the time to check on me on a day I was a bit under the weather. Some say the rooms and hotel are dated, but I felt the place had a nice character to it. One night our AC broke and was fixed very quickly. The pools are small but they are great for taking a little break from the heat. The buffet breakfast was always pleasant and there were different options available each night for our evening meal. During the day there were options for lunch and the coffee/wine bar was also a great place to relax. I particularly liked the swim up/cave bar. There were a few bars at the hotel and there were plenty of delicious cocktail options and other drinks. The hotel is right on the beach and the live music at night time added to the atmosphere of the place. The whole place had a very chilled out feel to it. As the island is so small, all of our trips were within short travel distance from the hotel. Overall it was a great experience here. The staff at Crystal Cove could not do enough for us and I wish I could have stayed for longer.

Highly dissatisfied! Lucky I was there only for two full days. I went to the excursion booth to book horse back riding was told to be at the lobby for my taxi at 5am since I would be riding the houses durn sun rise. The guy was 20 mins late when he dropped my boyfriend and I off at the location there was no one there to greet us. There was a lady a little further down on the beach who was setting up food and coffee so I asked her where I would be going and she said the horses over there are not to ride they are just retired racing horses. I was highly upset that the cab driver took us back to the hotel. The guy at the lobby said someone would be at the excursion booth around 7am no one was ever there the whole day… I was then told by the guy working the front desk that he would relate the message for me to get reimbursed for the excursion, I never got to go on. Which I was never refunded and it was all a SCAM!!!! I will never return back!

I had a wonderful experience at The Waves Hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly personable and welcoming, offering top-notch hospitality throughout my stay. The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The food was absolutely magnificent—every meal was a treat. A special thank you to the amazing front desk staff, especially Astrid, for her warmth and professionalism. Big thanks to Kevin at the concierge desk for being so helpful and attentive. I also want to acknowledge the excellent bar and food service staff, as well as the hardworking housekeeping team—your efforts truly made my stay exceptional. I’ll definitely be returning soon. Went here as a couple for a getaway first time to the island honestly speaking I chose this resort based on availability for me to use my Marriott points. I was a bit hesitant in booking because there were so many reviews that were polar opposite of each other from people staying at the exact same timeframe and just literally opposite reviews, but I was able to book an oceanfront room, which I always like to do and so I decided to go for it and I can tell you I would love to give this place a five star but honestly, it’s not a five star resort it does however, have five star potential I would say a lot of the five star has to come with updating the resort. It definitely is a good shape order resort, great location. The beach is rather small, but that’s not the resort‘s fault and I would never be negative toward the resort and the staff on something south of control I know in speaking with some of the locals, they said the island with hotels on that particular side have been dealing with the erosion of the beach, but the beach that is there is nice. It does sometimes feel a little crowded because the chairs and tables are a little close. The other side of things with the four star versus five star is the beach service is a hit or miss some days it was great some days you literally had to look around to see if there was even anybody still there ever a few times I literally walked up to the hotel bar inside to get drinks and take back down so they need a little work there But the majority of the staff there and I think this is the key for me while I was there one of the sister properties, if I recall correctly, the name was the colony house, which was come to find out a non-all inclusive. They had their people there working along side of the staff employees for waves, and I can tell you with great certainty the employees that work for waves 10 out of 10 I’ve been to a lot of resorts. I’ve been to some that are way more expensive than this and those employees Literally will do whatever you ask as long as it’s in their ability the colony house employees on the other hand, sometimes acted like they could care less, whether they even acknowledged you whether it be out on the beach in hotel bar in the restaurant so a lot of the negative feedback that I would have toward the staff would only be pertaining to the staff that was there during my stay From the colony house staff members, and you can clearly see who they are because they have Colony House on their shirts, which is different from the staff employees for the waves. The resort is uniquely laid out it’s split so all of your ocean front rooms are gonna be on the waterside and then there’s a road that basically goes around the island you gotta cross over that road to go to the other side of the resort the pool over there is definitely nicer more of a resort style pool. There’s a small pool on the Beachfront side, but it’s the family pool, which was never had one person in there a few times that we went in there just to cool off on the beach a slight negative they only have two restaurants there the one that is on the beach side was really good. We ate there Seven out of eight nights that we were there and I have to tell you the food that we had was amazing that menu literally changes on the daily. They do have their normal dishes, but then they have a regular change up daily of I would say most of the entrées and I read reviews that the food was horrible and this and that I consider myself a foodie and I enjoyed everything that I had. I’m not gonna say that everything Was 10 out of 10 but presentation and overall quality and taste of the food I thought was great and as I said, I would consider myself a foodie so take that for what it is the Indian restaurant across the road we went there the one night it was really good, but that menu does not change so we did go there the one night, but we never went back because we felt like we had what we wanted to try the first time we went and there was no need to go back The spa I thought was really good as well! Go check it out!

We had an awesome stay at Waves Hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly, the rooms were spotless, and the pools were beautifully maintained. Their service was top-notch from start to finish. The food exceeded our expectations—especially the new onsite Indian restaurant, which was absolutely delicious. One great perk is that you also have access to the restaurants at nearby Marriott properties, though we didn’t take advantage of that this time since we enjoyed Waves so much. The beach area is on the smaller side, which didn’t bother us, but if you’re looking for a large, sprawling beach, this might not be the best fit. Two small pieces of feedback: the beach towels could use an upgrade (and were occasionally subbed out with regular bath towels), and a bit of music at the pool or beach would really enhance the vibe. Overall, we loved our stay and would absolutely come back!

Girls trip! I had the best time at Waves Hotel & Spa! The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and just what I needed for a relaxing getaway. What really made the trip special was the incredible staff — especially Daron and Keveim. They were so friendly and helpful, and always made sure we were taken care of. Their energy was everything! The food was great, the drinks were flowing, and the beach views were unreal. Everything felt easy and comfortable the whole time I was there. Honestly, I didn’t want to leave! Definitely planning to come back. Highly recommend Waves if you’re looking for a chill, stress-free spot in Barbados with amazing vibes and even better people.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Everyone who works here is very friendly. The food is very, very good especially for an all inclusive. I probably would not bring children but as an adult only resort, I highly recommend. If you are looking for a relaxing place to unwind, with a beautiful pool, nice beach, great service and food, Waves is for you.

A huge, belated thanks to the staff at the Tamarind for making our little family reunion/big B-day week-long trip a massive success. We were a group of 16, aged 2 - 80, and everyone had a blast. The kids loved the pools, the parents loved the bars by the pools, I enjoyed slipping away to the adjacent beach oasis. The free water sports were a hit, the food was excellent, the ocean views from the suites were breathtaking. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and were pros at dealing with all sorts. We had an amazing trip. I hope to go back to the Tamarind someday and I highly recommend it.

Beautiful hotel with a stunning location, just wow. The food was adequate and sometimes amazing. Breakfast buffet style, but do go and see Ether on the egg station, but if you order an omelette, don't ask for cheese until last, you've been warned. Lunch the sane buffet style unless you order food from the bar, but expect a slow delivery. Evening meal, sometimes off a menu other times buffet, it seems to depend on how they feel that day. Also, book your restaurant times asap for your evening meal. The beach was small but adequate, but the pool was more than enough for me. I do wish they had poolside waiters, but considering our experience with the hospitality staff, it may have been a blessing in disguise. The rooms are dated, but they suit the surroundings and are cleaned to a high standard. If you have a chance eat at the restaurant next door. It's included in your stay, but book it as soon as you arrive, the views are stunning. Unfortunately, waitresses and bar Staff were the only things that let this place down, 90% of them that is, the rest couldn't do enough for you. It may be that they had a bad week, but either way, it put a downer on our holiday.

Lovely! Really friendly and attentive staff. Was really quiet when we were there but started to fill up with families with young noisy kids as Easter approached. Great location right on the beach, and decent food. The water taxi to the 3 other hotels in the group was handy for a change of scenery. Taxis are really expensive - as is everything else! Duty free on gifts though bring prices down to UK levels. Recommended

The property is lovely. The service was wonderful. Our favorites were Miss Alana at the Front Desk, Miss Ether at Breakfast, and Positano Restaurant, in particular their Excellent Bartender. Services included a ferry between sister properties and a variety of water sports. Unfortunately, water conditions didn't allow for us to use these services, but it is good to know it's available, weather permitting. My suggestion is to come prepared with Barbadian currency, because there is no atm on property. Also, it would have been nice to change up the breakfast buffet side items each day. Overall, I would stay here again.

Absolutely outstanding experience! From the moment I arrived, I was met by the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered—some even greeted me with a warm “hello” as they passed on their way to work. You could tell they genuinely enjoyed what they were doing, which created a really positive and welcoming atmosphere. I visited for breakfast and was blown away. The food was immaculate, beautifully presented, and constantly refreshed as items were taken. Every request we had was handled quickly and with a smile, and when we asked for extras, they were provided without hesitation. The meal itself was superb, and the surroundings were equally lovely—calm, clean, and relaxing. This was one of the most enjoyable breakfast outings I’ve had in a long time. I would highly recommend it and definitely plan to visit again!

Excellent hotel. Staff are so friendly and genuine always accommodating and kind. Food is very taste and well presented many choices from a la carte menu freshly prepared. Room was cleaned every day and always brought up whatever extra we asked( coffee, water etc) they do activities and water sports. The beach is beautiful and the water so clear that you can see the fish even without the mask . They always bring cold towels and cold snack while people sunbathe. Excellent in every way. Brilliant staff, barman, waitresses, chef, cleaners... all of them but Chantel really makes the difference🙂

Lovely boutique hotel. First the downside No beach Current arrangements for boarding the water taxi are dangerous. Dine around includes lunch only at waves. Unless you pay for your own transport of an evening. Room included a small lounge, bedroom with ensuite. All good but a shortage of plug sockets. We were in a ground floor, just a hop, skip and a jump to the pool, bar and restaurant. Perfect location. Pool - very nice, plenty of sunbeds and bar and restaurant service from your lounger. Bar - great service with all your usual favourites. Restaurant - at the start of our trip all meals were cooked to order. As the week progressed buffet meals were introduced for all three sittings. Personal preference is cooked to order. Water activities - snorkeling, paddle boards, hobby cat, and water taxi to waves included. Staff are very attentive and soon get to know you. There are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance. Must do - wreck and turtle snorkeling

Absolutely the most amazing accommodations! We were greeted with Rum Punch and led to the most memorable room ever. A chilled bottle of celebratory champagne waited for us in our rooftop oasis. We never imagined having not 1 but 2 ocean view balconies. One balcony was complete with our own private plunge pool overlooking the breathtaking views of the west coast; it’s where I started my day with coffee every morning. And forget anything you’ve ever heard about food at an all inclusive resort because this food was 5 stars at every meal. Everything was made to order, and dinner was culinary fine dining experiencewithout the stuffy wardrobe requirement. Additionally there wasn’t a drink that bartenders couldn’t make. We even had partnerships to go to a couple of other nearby Marriott properties for meals, but we never felt the need to. If you are going out for an excursion or your, they’ll even prepare you a togo bag for lunch or breakfast. If you wanted a snack, just go in the coffee room and grab something - all fresh and delicious. Christiana, Chris, Kaheem, Chawntel and so many other staff members are just genuinely hospitable. They called us by name and went out of their to make sure all guests are happy. We recommend 100% and can’t say enough good things about our experience.

Our trip was delightful. The service, restaurant staff & food was great! Beach is beautiful! Floor tile grout in room & bathroom was dirty. However management sent housekeeping to clean. Ocean view from room was amazing. Wish the resort had a prettier pool.

Hotel is located on the west side of the island which favors calm waters with the hotel having direct beach access which was really great. Rooms are very spacious but could use a little upgrading, except for the bed which was the best nights sleep I've had. The property could use some maintenance and upgrading as well. I was disappointed that one of the restaurants closed for dinner without prior notification to the guests which limited menu availability and one restaurant available to eat on property. Luckily there are several excellent restaurants within walking and driving distance. The pool is small but accommodates the hotel nicely. Security around the hotel is also noticeable which was nice to see. Taxis and drivers are available at the hotel whenever you need which is convenient. Staff is very pleasant and helpful with excursions and dinner reservations as needed.

We just got back from our stay at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion and let me just say we never wanted to leave!! The food, the beach, the atmosphere, everything was top notch. Ryan down at the beach club was phenomenal, we are going to miss his smiling face! And Tia went above and beyond for us, she was amazing! We are telling everyone they need to go, you will not be disappointed!!!

The Fairmont Barbados is on a beautiful beach and location is great for a tranquil vacation. The hotel is pretty with pink walls and pretty fountains and landscape. The landscaping needs cleaning and some plants were dry but overall it was nice. At night it’s pretty with all the lighting. The nightly sunset views from the bar restaurant are gorgeous and they have live music. The food at the hotel is not the best. It’s ok tasting. For the prices charged (specially the $175 lunch buffet) the food is not that good. The service is also OK. Some staff are great and we looked around for the special staff that we knew would assist best. The rest of the staff definitely need some “Fairmont corporate training”. Overall the rooms were very pretty. We had the bottom floor upgrade room with a little balcony. I am not sure how the upstairs rooms look. Our balcony bottom floor was nice and very clean and nicely decorated and updated bathroom. The fridge did not work. They gave us free waters all the time and I really appreciated that. The balcony does not open to the beach. Would be great if you could just walk out your balcony to the beach. You have to go around the resort to the back in order to access the beach. The breakfast food was pretty good. A lot of fruits and hot plates. The drinks were pretty good overall. Some staff bring them out to the beach but you have to hunt them down for that to happen. Overall, if I came back to Barbados, I would stay at the Fairmont again but with adjusted expectations.

We stayed here in April for our Honeymoon. It was the perfect destination full of luxury, tranquility, impeccable service and divine food. The O’Hara family were most welcoming, all staff at Coral Reef Club were super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The food at the hotel was absolutely scrumptious, we ate there 3 nights and also dined at the sister hotel the Sandpiper too for a Bajan Buffet which was 10/10 and the most stunning buffet display. The Spa was incredible, the treatments were the best I’ve had. Thank you to the Reception Team for your hospitality with arranging taxis and a boat trip, you just made everything super smooth and easy for us. Every night has evening entertainment, each set of musicians were top quality and thoroughly enjoyable. The tropical gardens are impressive and immaculate, we loved the view from our balcony and morning walks around the grounds. The beach towel & service team were super friendly and attentive, we spent many hours daily on the beach with a sorbet in hand (complimentary), iced water topped up and towels at the ready. The whole experience staying at Coral Reef Club matched the 5 star standard in every way. We can’t wait to come back to celebrate an Anniversary. We felt so truly rested and spoilt. This was our second visit to Coral Reef Club and it didn’t disappoint. The room was a beautiful sea view / garden room and was immaculately clean with fresh towels and iced water daily. The food is outstanding, from breakfast to lunch, late morning sorbet and beach drinks to evening dinner and cocktails. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the beach waiters are super hardworking and friendly. There is a well equipped gym and tennis coaching which we enjoyed, together with evening musicians/singers which were lovely on the evenings we dined in the hotel. The grounds are beautiful and every member of staff had a smile and hello for you throughout our stay. We cannot wait to return to one of favourite places to visit. Thank you everyone at the hotel for making our stay so special.

A client had contacted me for a hair braiding service from Coral Reef Club. I had met 2 young ladies who were so helpful. The atmosphere was cool and nice. The room I did my service in was a decent size with air condition. I loved it.

Beyond Grape

The Coral Reef Club is a small slice of paradise along the stunning west coast of Barbados. You notice the extreme attention to detail and the rooms are uniquely placed throughout the lovely grounds. One particular delight is the bar and restaurant which is ideally located and provides top caliber food and service with languid sea breezes and a stunning view. The spa is another immaculate realm and has ample spaces to relax, a nice pool, and the treatments are in well-appointed rooms. The esthetician and masseurs take care to tailor the treatments. You always feel your best at this gracious property.

Resort is lovely overall. Most comfortable room with a quiet balcony albeit a bit dated. Nice quiet location but a bit of a walk to Holetown. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Housekeeping service for my room was impeccable. Although at times at the bar it took awhile to get any attention and at one point even forgot my order. Both times happened around the 5pm hour so maybe it’s during staff turnover or prep for dinner service. Rules say you cannot reserve the beach chairs but people do it anyway. By 8am there are books on almost all the chairs. Rules also say items will be removed from chairs reserved but not occupied for 2 hours. Some beach butlers will do it but some won’t. I personally witnessed a pair of chairs unoccupied and not even used at all for most of the day until about 3pm. When the couple arrived, they were attended to a lot. At another day, a butler gave a pair of chairs to an elderly couple only for it to be taken away by a different butler telling them it was already reserved. Seems obvious the beach butlers play favourites. Clientele geared more towards the elderly so if you want a slightly less older scene with more establishments around the resort then suggest going elsewhere.

What an amazing time we had staying at "The House" in Barbados. The hotel was always so clean... and gorgeous The food was superb and I do mean superb.. there's nothing they wouldn't do for you, even if you are a picky eater... The rooms were always spotless and up dated The staff we're absolutely awesome, great fun and they did everything for us and more.... Wade, Sheena, Andrew, Kwasi, Shane, Dennis, Terry, Agnes to name a few and a special thanks to Jason, the manager... Wade even took our son to play football with his local team, which was a highlight for my son, who really enjoyed it.. Our stay was truly magical and we're already looking to go back next year.. I would seriously recommend this hotel in a heart beat to anyone looking for a 5 star holiday on the West Coast of Barbados..

I can’t say enough great things about The House. It Our trip to Bardados would not be the same if we didn’t stay here. The staff was EXCELLENT! The rooms were gorgeous and the food was top notch. We were greeted immediately and made to feel so welcome. We were treated to a complimentary 30 minute massage which we scheduled for day 2. The hotel can arrange everything from jet skiis to transportation to the tourist sites on the island. They had complimentary snorkel gear, paddle boards and a small wind sail. It’s been only 2 days since our trip ended and we truly miss the staff, the meals we enjoyed on the patio, and the pure feeling of “vacation”. My family and I will be returning the The House soon!!

This is a special find if you are looking for luxury, amazing food, and the best staff I have every encountered. The entire island is filled with caring kind people, but the staff here goes above and beyond. We were here for 5 days, and every meal, drink, question, or encounter was positive. Andrew is the funny and keeps you smiling! Wade and Devere are amazing bartenders and will make you the best drinks in the world. They are serious about their drinks and I promise they can make a drink for any occasion. Nice job gentlemen. Pat can make you the most amazing omelet and they are even better when she is singing (she has a beautiful voice). Kwise is has mastered the art of taking care of people! Sophia, Mark, Rico and Anthony were amazing servers (there were plenty of servers, but we were served by these amazing people). We broke a glass one night and Antwan was like a ninja cleaning up quickly with a smile on his face!

Beautiful, small resort. Great for people who don't like crowds (like me). It's on the beach, has a pool right there as well, a pool bar, several dining choices, and a very attentive staff who clearly want you to enjoy your stay! Lovely room (I heard they're going to remodel or update in a couple months)... and it's in Barbados! What more could you want??😊😊

Not impressed. Reception staff incredibly rude and disinterested. You only have to look at the state of the reception area to get a feel for how you will be treated. To be fair, we didn't run into any other staff but our initial treatment on check in (and then check out) was enough to make us not want to try. Rooms upstairs are fair but the one we were in downstairs was like a dungeon - dark and dreary with bars on the windows overlooking a fenced off area. Amenities in rooms are basic - bedlinen, a bar of soap, bath towels and crockery etc. Nothing else of any description offered. Pool area OK but a bit cramped. Location good - close to Holetown but a car or taxi needed if coming home late at night. I have been coming to the island for a fair few years now and I am aware of the prices. For the money we were charged, I had higher expectations. I don't have a problem with it if the amenities are good and the service friendly. Sadly, not the case here.

This was by FAR the WORST experience I ever had with a resort/guesthouse in Barbados. I had made arrangements to take my partner there to surprise her for her birthday weekend. Approximately a week before check-in, I called the Resort to make a booking which I assumed would be more secure than doing it online. It was the complete opposite. When I spoke to the receptionist to make the booking, she took my name and bank card number. She even asked me if I wanted to secure a downstairs or upstairs room. Thereafter, she assured me that the room would be secured and that check-in would be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025. On that date, I arrived at the Resort and went to Reception. Another receptionist informed me that my reservation was modified and cancelled. I told her that I never modified or cancelled the reservation and that I was utterly confused. She then proceeded to call the receptionist who I spoke to for booking, who apparently told her that my reservation was modified and cancelled because no payment was made from my bank card. They did not have the decency to call me and inform me that no payment was made from the card after I gave them my bank card number. They also did not have the decency to call me and tell me that as a result of this, the reservation was modified and cancelled. Instead, I found out at the time of check-in with my bags and suitcases already packed for a weekend that I had meticulously planned for my partner's birthday weekend. To add insult to injury, the receptionist informed me that the room I booked was no longer available and that they did not have any more rooms available. I therefore had to leave with my packed bags and suitcases as soon as I arrived. They completely ruined my plans for my partner's birthday weekend. I was never so livid and embarrassed in my life. I told the receptionist that it was terrible service and left. I have never experienced such disrespect, distastefulness, incompetence, inefficiency and unprofessionalism in my life. I suspect that someone else who was staying for a longer period than I was called them and made a booking for the same room, and they then cancelled my booking unbeknownst to me to make more money. But, I am only a local. I am absolutely certain that this kind of service and treatment would have never been provided to a tourist. But...this is how we have always treated and continue to treat our own...After my experience, I would NEVER advise or encourage anyone to make any arrangements with The Palms Resort. WORST experience ever!!!! Reply to Owner's Response: Dear Owner, I was hoping that you would see my review and respond to it. Of course, instead of taking accountability for the abysmal service at your Resort, like other owners of Resorts/Hotels have done, you have been overly defensive and dismissive. What you should do is assess the illogicality of your receptionist's explanation instead of taking her word for granted. I can confirm that the call did not drop. I had a full and complete conversation with your receptionist. In any event, even if the call had dropped, why would I not have called back to ensure that the conversation was finished, or MORE IMPORTANTLY, why would your receptionist not have called back the last number on the phone to get the additional details from me? It just does not make sense. But again, this is how locals are treated at these places. I stand by what I said and maintain that the service was the WORST ever!!!
